for the past 4 years ive had this really good friend, F, and F is a super sweet person but shes very lonely and has always wanted to be in a relationship.
last year we met this other girl, L, and F was totally smitten with her- like had feelings BAD and couldnt have a conversation with L without lowkey lovebombing her. it got to a point where L had to be like "i dont want to be in a relationship with you and that wont change, i just want to be friends with you" and then L got into a relationship with someone else, and we just kind of all lost contact with L

cut to a few months ago, L broke up with her boyfriend and weve been all hanging out again- BUT F IS NOT OVER L!!!! like its so bad, she's making everyone else in the group feel awkward whenever we hangout because shes just so painfully not over her.
ive felt HORRIBLE for L, because L is super oblivious and think F is just being really nice, and it was getting to a point where shes just manipulating L into thinking all that F is doing is being a good friend with F clearly has ulterior motives.

initially i had thought that L was aware and wasnt telling F to stop because she liked the attention, so i was like "ok, this needs to stop because its not healthy", so i msged L and was like "dude are you letting F flirt with you just for the attention? you know shes into you and youve said you dont want to be in a relationship, dont lead her on" and L was like... "oh my god i had no clue!!"
so now F is mad at me because i told L... but L already knew F had feelings for her initially and I was just telling her that F was only acting the way she was because she had feelings for L... idk its so weird

me PERSONALLY if the only reason someone was being kind to me was because they wanted to be in a relationship with me DESPITE ME TELLING THEM i didnt want that... id want someone to tell me! id feel super disrespected if all of my friends saw this behavior and didnt... tell me....
