History: We are looking for at least 232/200 words:
Before Koldovstoretz: Nastya lives in a city called; St. Petersburg. She lives with her mother, father, and her older brother, Sergei. She lives in an apartment just near her ballet studio. She follows the steps of famous ballerinas, training; just to be like them. Nastya is already a really great dancer for her age but the word 'great' is not in her dictionary -It's either the Best or the Worst, there is no 'in between'.
Nastya continues to learn from her mistakes, at dance and school. She awakes at 5 in the morning everyday, following the same schedule. Homework, stretching, going over any new choreography from ballet, then going to school, coming to dance class (where she spends over 4 hours training -coming home at 10), stretching some more and lastly going to sleep.
Explaining about Koldovstoretz:Nastya, receiving a letter just a day before her birthday, knew that her life would change. None of her family ever recieved a letter like that, and it was quite a surprise! Nastya's Uncle lives in Irkutsk (Siberia) and he'll be taking care of Nastya during any holiday breaks during school.
First Magic: Nastya had been working hard all year. She couldn't wait until the final end-of-the-year performance. This would show off all her skills. Was she worthy at dancing at
the Vaganova ballet Academy? It was only 3 days until she turned 11. How she couldn't wait! She needed to put on her costume once more, just to see how well she looked in it, and to take some more photos of course!
As she changed; putting on her pink and silky tights, her white leotard -covered in rhinestones, and lastly, her tutu in which was also covered in sparkly rhinestones. Nastya just needed one more thing to put on; her pointe shoes. She walked, dodging all the girls whom were also terribly excited for the Vaganova Scout which was coming to see who should dance at the academy. Nastya walked near a girl, who was stressing really hard -her things were flying everywhere as she dug through her dance bag. One of the girl's shirts flew right at another girl holding a cup of water, causing it to spill all over Nastya's dress! What was she going to do now? She was going onstage in less than 2 minutes! No time to dry it now, she'll just have to go onstage wet. Right? Oh but how terribly she was wrong. The water leaked through her white leotard, causing it to show right through! Nastya needed to do something and quick! Should she go on? Should she not? Suddenly her music began to play, looks like she had to go on.
Through the entire dance she was struggling to keep up with the music, praying that her leotard wasn't seeking through that much. But it was. Nastya danced, through the first part of the variation which was in the center of the room. Then the 2nd part of the variation was in a diagonal line leading from the speakers all the way to the backdrop-curtains. The speakers. They were standing on stage, playing her music loud and clear. Nastya eyed them, still continuing to dance. She went through her corrections in her mind as she began to dance the diagonal part. Suddenly the music stopped. What happened? Nastya knew what to do. She bowed and started to 'ballet-walk' of stage and into the curtains.
A day had passed since the performance, and Nastya's mother had just informed her, that there was a power-outage and that the competition would have to be suspended until October. October?! But the tryouts were yesterday! And that meant that the scout didn't choose her yet. But, that night she received a letter from Koldovstoretz. Although Nastya was heart-broken at first, she learned to accept that her dreams of becoming a dancer were over. She learned to look at the future differently and cared that now she was going to a magical school in snowy Siberia and that, she was excited about.

- Purebloods do not interact with Muggles as a cultural rule. Please make sure you state that the ballet school you attended to train before Koldovstoretz, the normal school you attended during the day, and anyone you interacted with beforehand, was not a Muggle. (This isn't saying that you can't have danced - ballet is important to magic cultures too!) A magic school, just as a general reminder, wouldn't be able to use electricity/technology such as speakers.
- Also, please explain why Nastya's family, as purebloods, would allow her to train for a Muggle ballet school (Vaganova Academy).
- Nastya's first instance of magic feels intentional: she didn't want the speakers to be playing her music as she was embarrassed that her leotard was see-through, so the speakers stopped playing her music. Please change the first instance of magic so that it is less intentional.
- I'm also confused on the October/yesterday bit; was there time travel involved or am I misunderstanding this?
- There is a Chaser spot open on the Koldovstoretz Quidditch team, yes! Please put in your application "YES" next to Quidditch Player, and then put what role you would like to play.
- Please describe how Sergei was expelled; Nastya doesn't need to know this, but we do!
- If Nastya's whole family were purebloods and had attended Koldovstoretz, hypothetically Nastya would know about Koldovstoretz and know that she would likely someday attend it as well.

- I am still seeking clarification on what exactly was Nastya's first instance of magic. Did she cause the speakers to stop playing music? Magic causes electricity to fritz, so it could perhaps be that her first instance of magic did cause the speakers to fritz as well, but that was not the main first instance of magic. Please provide a different first instance of magic that does not have to do with electricity.

First Magic:wc: 1030ReducioHarper Callahan was twenty-three and starry-eyed when she first met him — tall, enigmatic, and impossibly out of place in the winding streets of Prague. She had arrived in Europe from Australia to chase something bigger than home, something unnameable that pulled her across continents. Prague, with its golden domes and twisting alleyways, felt like a dream calling to the part of her that could never be tied down.
He never told her much about himself — nothing about his family, not even his real name — but there was a quiet confidence in the way he carried himself, like someone used to power. He spoke with an old-world accent, crisp and clipped at the edges, and seemed to always know just where to be at the right moment. He appeared one rainy evening in a café near the Charles Bridge, where Harper had been attempting to immerse herself in the hustle and bustle of the city around her, and became her world in slow degrees.
They spent the next several months in glorious, reckless, decadent love — first in Prague, then Vienna, where he had invited her to move in with him. She followed him there without hesitation. She had never felt so certain of anything. For the first time in her life, Harper felt as if she belonged somewhere.
Harper thought she was living in a fairy tale. The apartment in Vienna was beautiful, spare but elegant, and he treated her like something precious — almost too precious. Looking back, there were oddities. He never let her meet his family. He never spoke of his past. There were whole days when he’d disappear with no explanation, only to return with gifts or charm or silence that somehow excused the absence. She was young, in love, and soon pregnant.
He grew gentler as time passed and her stomach swelled. He was strangely attentive, almost as if he was waiting for something. Harper could feel it in the way he watched her and their unborn child, the way he touched her stomach like he was trying to coax a secret out of it, the way he was almost paranoid in the later months of her pregnancy. Still, she believed in the future they were building. She believed in him.
What Harper never knew, could never have guessed, was that the man she loved came from ancient, storied wizard nobility. What he wanted from her wasn't love or devotion, it was an heir. And Harper, who was achingly, terribly human, was caught up in the machinations of a force much stronger and older than her.
The labor was traumatic and besieged by complications from the first contraction. For Harper, all she remembered was pain, then light, then darkness. When she woke again, nurses congratulated her on the birth of her baby — a boy. A single child, small but healthy. There was no sign of the father. It seemed as if he had disappeared into thin air. When she questioned her doctors, they grew irritated with her and insisted that she had arrived at the hospital alone. They told her that she must have been mistaken. The exhaustion, the sedation, the pain — surely she had imagined it. She tried to believe them, even though the memories of her time with her child's father were still as clear as water.
What Harper didn't know was that she had borne twins: a boy and a girl. In the confusion of it all, their father had spirited away the wrong child. The son he had so desired laid in Harper's arms, destined for a life without his father or sister.
Harper returned to Australia heartbroken but fiercely protective of the life she still had: her son, Everest. She named him for the highest peak in the world, determined he would never know the pain of falling the way she had. She never spoke of his father again and convinced herself that the feeling of wrongness and emptiness that haunted her sleepless nights were just echoes of heartache. It wasn’t just her own heart on the line anymore — it was Everest’s as well. Whatever had happened in Vienna, whatever had been taken from her, she had to believe she could keep him safe from it.
Harper returned to Adelaide with a newborn in her arms and a yawning hole in heart. Her parents welcomed her back without question, folding her into the familiar rhythms of the life she had once fled from in the pursuit of something more. The Callahan family home was modest, sun-warmed, and filled with creaky floorboards and the scent of eucalyptus and lemon balm. It became a sanctuary for Harper, who was slowly learning to live for something other than Everest again.
For his own part, Everest was a quiet, solemn child. He was observant and thoughtful, the kind of boy who seemed to listen more than he spoke. His wide blue eyes saw more than anyone realized. Everest grew up on stories from secondhand books, barefoot walks through dusty gardens, and late afternoons helping his grandfather fix up old furniture in the shed. Harper poured every ounce of love she had into him — she may have lost the life she thought she’d have, but she was determined that Everest would never feel that absence.
Yet Harper had always been a restless spirit. Even as her son flourished in the gentle, calm love of her own childhood home, something in her itched. And so, when Everest was six, she accepted a job offer in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. It was meant to be temporary. A year, perhaps two, to allow her to spread her wings on the continent where she had experienced the most formative events of her life.
But the city suited her in ways she hadn’t expected. It was grey and quiet, its history wrapped in every balustrade and balcony, and she could build a new kind of life there. Everest, for his part, adjusted with a strange, inward resilience. He missed the sun, the space, and his grandparents, but he took to Russian easily enough, and learned to carefully layer both his clothes and his emotions.Note: His mother, Harper, is Australian and Everest was born while she was traveling/living in Europe. They moved back to Australia shortly after his birth.
Is your character a Broom Racer? Nowc: 156ReducioIt was in Nizhny Novgorod, in their narrow, drafty apartment above a small bakery, that Everest’s first burst of magic occurred. He had been upset, even though he couldn’t remember why exactly — typical for a seven-year-old. Perhaps it had been a forgotten word in Russian, which he still struggled to shape in his mouth, a bad dream, or the sudden sharp grief that sometimes came from nowhere.
The room had flickered, just for a second. The window had cracked from the inside, though the cold outside had not penetrated. The lights had fizzled and come back stronger. His mother chalked it up to faulty wiring. Everest wasn’t so sure. He felt the electricity of it in his fingertips for days after, like static clinging to something deeper. Although he eventually dismissed it as nothing but a fluke accident, the moment would stay with him, right up until the moment he received his acceptance letter to a strange institute named Koldovstoretz.

The gift of the Sight is passed on as their most guarded, hallowed inheritance. Only a few in every century ever manifest it, and although their family is one of the most consistent in displaying the talent, it remains a closely guarded secret. Those who possess the Sight are both revered and feared within the bloodline, often set apart and controlled.
The family’s blessing can be traced back several centuries, all the way back to the old dynasties of Europe. Although no one is quite certain of who originated it, there are records dating back to the Middle Ages of Seers bearing their name. Several of Everest’s ancestors served in various royal courts as oracles and seers, although of course the aristocrats they served had no idea of the true magic behind their eerily accurate predictions.
There was his great-great-great-grandmother, whose warnings were the only thing that saved her small village from total destruction by a flash flood. Her prescience caught the attention of a local nobleman, who recognized the wand she kept hidden up her sleeve as a near-twin to his own. He courted her for two seasons before they married in the summer. They soon had several children running around underfoot, although not a single one of them inherited their mother’s gift.
It was her grandson — Everest’s first cousin thrice removed — who bore the burden again. Pale-haired like her and prone to trance-like silences, he began to have visions of fire and ruin. Unfortunately, his prophecies were generally dark, unsettling, and painfully accurate. The family, wary of his gift, which had already revealed one too many destructive forces, placed him under seclusion “for his own safety”. He was kept out of the public eye and his journals were burnt, his name becoming taboo at family gatherings.
Not all Seers in the family were quite so easily silenced. The next person to possess the Sight was a wild force: a fiery redhead with a knack for cards and chicanery. One could never be sure if her declarations were true and she was shunned by the rest of the family for daring to step out of line. She didn’t mind one bit and soon ran off to the New World with a troupe of fellow Seers — authentic and sham — where it was rumored she attempted to teach Divination to No-Majs and create her own Tarot deck based on precious metals.
Everest, of course, knows none of this.
All he knows is that his flashes of “intuition” almost always come true, that he has an uncanny ability to catch things before they fall, and that coincidences tend to occur around him. His lucky guesses somehow prove correct. His dreams are clearer than water, even on the darkest of nights. And sometimes, far too often to be chance, he catches a glimpse of a girl with eyes like his, standing in a room he’s never seen, reaching out through the dark.
The blood remembers, even if he doesn’t — and the Sight cannot be denied.

To understand Kazimir's story we must first look to his unique parentage. Bria, a giantess from the Boulder Tribe, hails from the northern reaches of the Ural Mountains in Russia. Her tribe, like most giant tribes, had begun to dwindle in numbers over the years. To counteract this dire situation her people had long since adopted the practice of coupling with humans to keep the population numbers healthy. While it was still celebrated to birth a full blooded giant, these part-giants had become common place among the tribe and were just as much a part of the community as their pure-blooded relatives.
The Boulder Tribe, written as Buirnas Tsaifa in the giant language adopted this name from the long standing tradition of their rite of passage. In the center of the village sat a boulder with the written history of the tribe chiseled into its surface. This served as a meeting place for the citizens and was the centerpiece to their festivals, feasts and ceremonies. To be considered an adult among the tribe, each giant would have to be able to lift this boulder up above their head in a show of strength and to symbolize that the good of tribe was placed higher than individual need. These peoples were adept in the art of animal husbandry and were considered some of the best hunters in the land. The practice of dragon hunting had long since been removed from wizard society, but in the past the Boulder Tribe had been called upon to rid the land of any dragon that threatened humans. The word Boulder Tribe also serves as a last name of sorts for its people.
Kazimir's father, a Russian wizard by the name of Rurik Reznov, was an archeologist of sorts that had made contact with the giant population of Russia during his studies and expeditions. He was deemed acceptable by the Boulder Tribe and was free to come and go as he pleased. This led to him meeting with Bria and the two eventually agreed to have a baby together. In this custom, the giant parent would take the more significant role in raising the child. Kazimir would live with his mother full-time, while his father played the role of a mentor. Rurik would visit his boy often and the two would partake in human studies. Kazimir was taught the Russian language, how to read and write and the histories of humans both muggle and wizard alike. Considering his half-breed nature, Rurik would tend to the boy's human needs as they would arise, while Bria taught him all the ways of the giant peoples.

When Kazimir was seven years old he accompanied his mother as she traveled from their village to another. The trail between them was long, but it was an important trip as trading and bartering with the other giant tribes was a way to keep all the communities fully supplied and healthy. However, the boy grew bored on their long hike as many children his age do and soon he was off running up and down the path. The game was simple. Every rock in his way had to be jumped over. The bigger the rock, the better! His mother called out her warning, but Kazi wasn't having any of it. That was until he was running towards the largest rock he had seen yet, but the boy lost his footing and with a mighty crash his knee came down right onto the rock in question. With a bellow of pain that shook the very trees surrounding them, Kazimir was sent into a rage as pain and fear of the bleeding wound caused him to panic. In the frenzy that ensued the very rock that had wounded him would magically explode right before their very eyes. While his mother scolded him for his carelessness, she was secretly happy to have witnessed his first instance of magic!

Drago Volkov Voronin Krasny Morozov Thanatos-Kholodov was born on the frozen morning of the 1st of October, 2012. His parents, Adrik Thanatos-Kholodov and Ranavalona Thanatos-Kholodov, were pleased by his birth as the first born, and the first born son of the Thanatos-Kholodov line.
He was brought up by house-elves, because his parents were occupied elsewhere. Specifically his father.
His mother tried to be there for him, but her mental health was slowly declining. On his 5th birthday, she disappeared. His father searched far and wide but she was nowhere to be found.
Before his 5th birthday, he spoke very little, but after that spectacle, it left an imprint on his little mind that he could not forget.
No matter how hard everyone tried to get him to speak, he refused, and didn't speak a word until his 10th birthday.
His father tried everything. He pleaded, he begged, he even screamed and ranted about how it wasn't proper that a Thanatos-Kholodov should behave in that manner.
But he just looked up at his father with big, black eyes and refused to speak.
He liked to listen to music, and learned how to play the cello and the piano.
He learned how to read and write quickly, and was an avid scholar.
His family was proud of how hard he worked and how much he learned so quickly.
He probably read more books then was healthy for him, sometimes skipping meals so that he could stay in the library. The house-elves brought him food though, so he didn't entirely miss meals.

He finally got so worked up and upset that the curtain that he was standing next to caught fire.
He burned his hand on it, having been holding and yanking on them to get his father's attention.
Adrik finally looked up when he heard his son's anguished cries.
Despite his best efforts, the burn mark could not be removed completely because it was too severe.
It had covered his entire palm, but was finally reduced to something smaller.
He always remained with a jagged scar, stretching from the tip of his middle finger, to the left side of his hand where the wrist meets the palm.
It was shaped like a tree, a fern, or like a burning inferno.
He liked the way it looked on him, so when he found a solution to completely remove it a year later, he refused.

-Thank you for making the changes, but we will not approve Drago's scar as written. Even with this addition, this reads as a child wished for the scar to remain, and the parents allowed it. There would need a different explanation (beyond the parents not healing it entirely themselves or another wizard or witch doing the same) or remove the mention of a scar entirely.

Players with an already created NPC from can state that their iNPC is a duellist. Your sport choice (broom racing, quidditch, dueling) for your NPC can be the same as your PC. This is a binary YES/NO. Please remember that you can only be in one sport as an iNPC. [u]Stats:[/u] They should add up to what you can have for your year if you were human or having Special Race/Talent. So if you create a Special Race/Talent iNPC, you should have 5 less stats in total than if you were human. Wins from games (quidditch, broom racing, dueling) by your player character or NPC are also applied to your other account. [u]Special Race/Ability:[/u] To be accepted for a special ability such as Parselmouth or Seer or a special race (such as a Dhampir or part Goblin) you would need to apply for this on [i]initial character creation[/i]. [u]If special race/ability, how did they join the school?[/u] If they are a first year from Sept 2024, they would be accepted normally. If they are not a first year, please include 50 words on how they transferred into the school or hid their abilities.
