Emily watched them and waved her hands, trying to calm them down. "Boys! I mean-- Err, wolves... Easy! Be careful-- Watch out, you're going to turn Tesla's back garden into a crash site if you keep doing that! Colin don't use your mouth!" She hid behind her palms until it was over, looking up again to see that the two white puffballs darted away, only to them come speeding back and coming to a halt back at her legs. Emily yelped when they crashed back in front of her. One of the wolves - Colin definitely, with those magnificent emerald eyes piercing through her - came back with something wriggling in his mouth. When he plopped it on the ground, Emily could see the startled shaking of a little marmot.

Emily looked down at it with her jaw hanging loose, unsure of what to make of it until eventually she got down to her knees and tried cradling the poor thing.

"Aww... It's okay, little guy..." Emily stretched for her bag and pulled out a small bag of seeds, leaving a small handful in her hands and holding it out to it. The marmot snatched a few before scurrying off back into the hideout of the wattle fence panels where Colin nabbed it.

Emily sighed and turned to Colin, gifting him another appreciative ruffle of the fur. "A very kind gesture... But how about we leave the ecosystem as it is, hm? Besides--" She lightly dooped her nose against Colin's woofy one. "Nothing could top being with the one creature I hold dearest to me."

– How It Started:

Blowing up a bottle of Darkest Night potion!!

She watched him place the bottles in the middle of the room. Then he pulled out his wand. Emily instinctively stood back. An incantation Emily wasn't too familiar with erupted from Colin's throat and the bottles exploded into nothingness. Emily squeaked and shielded her eyes from the light show that followed. There was a brief shake in the ground but when her eyes slowly opened again, she could see no damage, neither to Colin nor the rest of the room, other than the vaporisation of the bottles.

Awe fell upon Emily's face. It was like the bottles were never there. Looking back up at Colin, she could see the proud and pleased expression stretched onto his face.

Emily fell into a fit of giggles. Nothing was more "Colin McCoire" than exploding something and being a happy chappie about it. She outstretched a grin to match his. Things were already slowly becoming a little clearer, the air becoming more breathable and less suffocating.

Her eyes sparkled as she looked at him and then she knew. Everything was going to be okay.

Satisfied that Emily was distracted, "Auntie" spoke to Colin in a low, calm voice. "As selfish of me to ask this, I must ask that you keep up whatever it is you do that makes her smile. I'm not Emily's biological mother nor aunt by any means. When it comes down to it, I'm just the maid hired by her father for which Emily gave me the nickname. I love her dearly however, like she truly is my own child and all I want is the best for her". She rubbed Colin's shoulder, her gentle expression unwavering. "She speaks fondly of you... Which is enough for me to trust that you'll continue to be by her side... Right?"

Colin could not contain himself! His mind flashed back to last spring when she'd tried to explain all about her Ma designing muggle dresses for fish or something weird like that; and then to what Auntie Nora said to him just a couple weeks ago! Pieces of the puzzle began sliding into place in Colin's mind!

"No! Ye're wrong Emmi!" Colin practically shouted. Never let it be said that Colin's strong suit was self-censoring, especially when it came to those he felt the strongest attachments to! "Emmi, I can't divorce you! That's not even possible! I ---!" He caught himself just then. He felt the blush strengthen!

Simon once promposed to AngelFyre in the Hufflepuff Common Room wearing only his birthday suit while strategically holding a sign in front of him that said he would not put on his clothes until she said yes to the Fall Ball. He even followed her into the Corridors like that, forcing her to give him Detention as he had no strategic sign for his shapely keester! *** AngelFyre first confessed her love to Simon, in song (she sings very, verrrry badly), while under the influence of an Amortentia-laced cupcake, at a school-wide Valentine's Day Tea Party (in front of his then girlfriend!) It was epic! *** They had a fake break up summer of 2025 because Simon's vampiric father threatened AngelFyre's life if he did not marry a vampire in his father's coven. This one broke our hearts to write... not kidding.

Simon and AngelFyre once broke into a theater in London to see whatever the act was that evening (they did not know before getting inside). It turned out to be Justin Bieber, and Simon, for reasons neither could understand, was very quickly mistaken for the Biebs himself and had a throng of girls chasing him, wanting selfies with him. He ended up covered in lipstick prints. To get away from them, he led AngelFyre backstage and long story short, he ended up opening the show for the Biebs. He even brought AngelFyre with him onstage to dance with him. Again, epic!
