Sarcasm Meets Sunshine

・❥・ ・❥・•Veela Allure in Effect• —date. [ 02/25/25 ]———event. [Group Project]——————------------------------ The Gryffindors expression turned sweet and almost awestruck at what Syrah said. “Aww… that almost sounded like a compliment.” Whether she had intended for it or not, Sebastian decided to interpret it as such. How could it not be a compliment from her to admit the only reason he would be held hostage, was because the kidnapper couldn’t stand a life without him? Syrah nailed the head on that one. That was the only thing that would make sense. Unabashed, he added: “If the kidnapper is hot, they could get it.” The way he said it was in a joking manner, but the worst part about this was that it probably was the truth. To get caught up in a case of Stockholm syndrome didn’t sound too far-fetched for Sebastian Drake. His life was already like a movie! “Bet if they printed books with a mirror on every page, you’d be the biggest reader in Hogwarts.” Syrah tried to insult him, almost coming close to a laugh. Sebastian thought she should do that more often. Laugh, that was. Sebastian thought about it for a while, seriously, but came to the conclusion that she was factually wrong. Obviously she was trying to insult him, but he didn’t necessarily think jabs at his vanity could be considered an insult. It didn’t bother him at least. “Hmm… no. I don’t actually look in the mirror much. I know I look good.” As unbelievable as it sounded, it was true. Not to say he didn’t love what he saw in the mirror, but he wasn’t insecure to the point where he had to constantly check on himself to make sure he stayed perfect. He knew he was, and it was completely effortless. No matter how much he tried to postpone the inevitable, they still had a project to write about. Gesturing to the open books in front of them, he suggested, “Shouldn’t we be practicing these spells, instead of just writing them?” Putting himself willingly on the other end of Syrah’s wand might be asking to get his ass beat, but at least it would be more stimulating and effective than writing with a quill on parchment. Where were the computers?! The wizarding world needed to catch the fuck up. No one could seriously suggest them to write 1000+ words by hand! tag. [@Syrah Vintera ]—( codes by uly. )— | ———— |

Sarcasm Meets Sunshine
Syrah rolled her eyes, leaning back slightly in her seat, the books and notes sprawled in front of her. She hadn’t exactly been thrilled about partnering with Sebastian for this project, and his ridiculous suggestions weren’t helping. Of course, he was always like this—half-joking, all charm, and completely annoying.
"Practicing spells? Seriously?" she asked, arching an eyebrow and setting down her quill. "This is a written assignment, not some dueling competition. We're supposed to be explaining the theories and principles behind these spells, not waving wands around like a couple of toddlers." Her tone was firm, but she couldn’t help the flicker of annoyance that crept in.
She glanced at him, leaning slightly forward, arms crossing over her chest as she gave him a pointed look. "I’m not wasting time on that. This isn’t about impressing anyone or showing off. It's about getting the work done. Which you seem to be dodging with your stupid ideas."
She paused, forcing herself to exhale slowly and focus back on the parchment. She didn’t know why she let him get under her skin like this—it was probably because he was so... Sebastian.
"Unless, of course, you think waving your wand around will somehow make the words magically appear on the page. If that’s the case, be my guest," she said with a hint of sarcasm, her eyes still scanning the notes as she tried to drown out his nonsense.
