Winnie nodded her head as she listened to Percival's explanation, "Oh, I see... Sorry, I just thought that maybe... I mean you're in the same year and house, and Opeila is very beautiful and kind, and I saw you two kissing, so I kind of put two and two together because it would make sense. " She was starting to ramble, feeling flustered over her mistake. Plus she really did think Opeila would make a good girlfriend for Percival, regardless of her own feelings. She wanted her friend to find happiness.

"Those events are kind of hard for me... I get flustered easily." She shrugged her shoulders. "Wait... So, you would just kiss anyone if you had mistletoe over your head?" The Ravenclaw asked him, a grin curving onto her lips. "Percival, I didn't know you were such a player."

The redhead's expression softened as Percival told her not to worry about her safety. "... I'll always worry about your safety, Percival. I care about you." Her gaze flickered to their intertwined hands, his squeezes brought some comfort, but her anxiety still lingered. Though it was somehow soothed when she heard more about his parents, apparently in law enforcement of some kind.

She nodded, giving his hand another squeeze, "I thought giving you notes could also help you know if everything is okay, and it's proof for if Mathias tries to erase my memory again."

The way his arms wrapped around her made her feel secure in a way she hadn’t felt in a long time. She laid her head against his shoulder until he pulled back. Winnie blinked down at him in surprise, his touch was so gentle and caring that it made her cheeks flush and her heart flutter. She swallowed, trying to regain some composure, "I'll give you a hug whenever you want." She promised, offering him a weak smile.

The rest of the day would be spent exploring the farm. Winnie introduced him to all the animals, the goats in particular seemed to like his company. She showed him how to feed the baby goats, told him about how it was important to heat the milk up just right.

After a few hours, Saoirse found them and told them it was time to go into town. This was when Percival was introduced to Saoirse's car. Of course the woman drove a Mini Cooper, seafoam green in colour, complete with a backup camera. Winnie had fully enjoyed watching Percival's reaction to riding in the car, and reminded him he needed to use the seatbelt, even showing him how to buckle himself.

At her grandparent's bookstore they were met once again with the world of magic. Orla and Sean were thrilled to meet her classmate, and told him to pick any novels he would like. Winnie made sure a copy of Pride and Prejudice and the Lord of the Rings series was among them.

The day was nearing to an end as Saoirse pulled back into the farm's parking space.

"Don't get me wrong Winnie, she's a nice girl and all but me and her will never be a thing. We are both not like that..." he explained, knowing himself that it was only a one time deal. He could only smirk when she expressed that he'd kiss anyone if he was under a mistletoe, which wasn't entirely wrong. It was a tradition to do so, not doing it would make him a scrooge to say the least "Oh please, just because I keep to the values of a mistletoe doesn't make me a player." That on the other hand was probably a small lie, all those he stood under the mistletoe with had willingly kissed him.

It was warming she cared for his safety, Gray was the same with her. However, Gray didn't want any of that worry on her mind. He was responsible for his well being, if anyone was going to be concerned it would be himself "Like I said, I'll be fine. Gray's are meant to be tough, we don't break so easily." Gray reassured the redhead and squeezed her hand in return "We'll keep to the notes for now, if anything drastic happens we will meet up for a change of plan."

Keeping her in the hug for a few moments longer, his cheeks blushed from when she offered to give him a hug anytime. That was an offer he could down, and hopefully soon enough they'd be doing it again "Thank you..." he whispered softly in her ear before pulling away and smiling down at Winnie "Come on, show me around before we run out of sunlight" he said as he began walking to the front door with a grin.

The events that followed were very eventful admittedly. One of the main things they did was feed the cute goats, who playfully tried to tug at his trousers when they got the chance. Gray didn't mind in the slightest though, he liked getting his hands dirty in things like this. However, later on, the time arrived for them to visit her grandmother. For whatever reason, he thought Winnie would show his mother how to use a portkey, instead they had to travel in a weird metallic box called a Mini Cooper. Gray was hesitant to sit inside at first, yet after some small encouragement, he sat inside and wrapped the useless black belt across his chest.

The journey was quite bumpy due to it being on the ground, which soon started to become an annoyance when your head was hitting off the roof. As soon as they arrived, Gray couldn't have gotten out of the silly cooper fast enough. Percy felt sorry for the muggles who had to use such a torture device on a daily basis, next time he'd choose to ride his broom in a storm than sit in that thing again. Their trip to the bookstore made up for it though, especially when her grandparents were so welcoming. Picking out a pile of books Winnie dropped on his lap, Gray also put on top a story about a detective called Sherlock Holmes. The blurb looked interesting enough, hopefully it would keep his interest for more than an hour.

Upon their return to the farm, Gray carried in the heavy pile and placed them on the kitchen table to relieve the strain on his arms "Oh Merlin, I wasn't expecting your grandparents to put a few more on top!" he said with a chuckle while turning back to Winnie, his eyes looking into hers once more for a few moments "You know, I've enjoyed myself today. You've kept me on my toes, especially your mom" he said in the most politest way possible.

"Maybe you should visit some of my family in Ireland, they may be a bit more welcoming on my mothers side..."

“This is only a foretaste of what is to come, and only the shadow of what is going to be.”
