In Frost's pre-teenage mind, there wasn't such thing as judging people before you know them, just by what they did or how they looked. So when the beautiful blonde girl said 'Slytherin', it didn't click for her that the house gets a bit of a bad reputation. The girl didn't realize that that meant that the blonde's seemingly nice nature was a bit unexpected for a Slytherin. Maisy had talked about it with a bit of wariness in her tone that signalled that obviously, the girl wasn't exactly buddy-buddy with the of being her house.

The ginger girl would smile at the other two. "Well, Maisy, you know what I think? I think that you are a wonderful girl. And even though I don't know you that well, I know that not just you, but everyone in Slytherin should be seen individually and not just the misguided actions of misguided people." Frost's attempt at cheering the girl up seemed a little sappy and generic, but it was most certainly truthful. The Slytherins could very well be some of the best people in Hogwarts. That was like saying all Hufflepuffs are ditzy and nice.

The other girl, Amadea, was, not very surprisingly, a Hufflepuff as well. The girl couldn't help but give another warm smile. And even though Frost didn't mind any of the houses, Hufflepuff seemed to make up the majority of her friends. But that would've been obvious, as she was a Hufflepuff herself, autamatically making her spend most of her time with her own house.

She lifted her chin and looked into the other girl's eyes. "So, what do you guys think you're most looking forward to in second year? I personally am very exited for classes, as weird as that may sound." The ginger giggled a little. It must be silly for someone to want more schoolwork, but she just couldn't help it. All of the aspects of Hogwarts were just very exciting to her.

It seemed as though Amadea wasn't the only one that was scared of being judged. Maisy seemed like a wonderful human being, and it was a shame that she wasn't feeling comfortable. Amadea would have done anything to help the girl out, but was, unfortunately, feeling helpless at the moment, unsure of what to do.

Before she could say anything, the Slytherin decided to end the conversation, walking away. Amadea wasn't sure how to read the situation. Did Maisy not like them? Maybe she was just uncomfortable with the conversation. Maybe she just needed to get away. Maybe she had some books to get and couldn't waste any more time. Whatever the reason, it was now just the two Hufflepuffs.

Amadea turned to focus her attention on Frost, smiling at her housemate. Amadea felt bad that she didn't recognize the girl, but it seemed as though Frost didn't recognize Amadea either, which made her feel a bit better. There were a lot of people in her house, anyway, and she couldn't possibly remember every single one of them. That would just be insane.

Frost asked about the upcoming year and what Amadea was looking forward to. Amadea's mind began to whir, thinking about all of the things she couldn't wait to do during her second year. "Believe it or not, I'm kind of excited for classes too!" Amadea exclaimed, happy that they had something to bond over. "I have a feeling they will be really challenging this year, but I'm so excited to learn more things, especially some new spells and potions."

Coming from a non-wizarding family, Amadea really knew nothing about the wizarding world until she came to Hogwarts. She didn't know anything about magic or spells or anything until she learned about them in classes. Amadea loved learning more and she loved being able to master spells. She couldn't wait to learn more, but was not looking forward to the heavy workload that came with it.

"I'm also really looking forward to hanging out with my friends and making new ones!" Amadea said. She was much more outgoing than she was last year, and was hoping that she could become closer with many of the people she had met last year, and make some new friends in the process. Maybe Frost could be one of them. "I'm just really looking forward to everything," Amadea said, blushing slightly. "Except for all of the homework, of course!"

Since Maisy is no longer on HiO, I just wrote that she walked away...hope that's okay.
