The three of them made weird company, Dennis thought as he caught the attention of an owl. As he was tying the missive to its leg, the ginger was only half paying attention to all the commotion behind him. It seemed that Odilon had noticed Ozias’ changing eye color, something he picked up on during their first meeting in Herbology. He figured out the other Ravenclaw was a metamorphagus, so Odilon knew other things besides how to look in the mirror. Dennis had to admit he might have been impressed that a Gryffindor was capable of learning.

No sooner had he sent the owl on his way than he smelt the familiar girl smell and a light touch across his shoulder. It seemed both the people who seemed to be quite snappy at each other were somehow now very concerned about his fight. Dennis politely but firmly slid Odilon’s arm off of him and turned to face both of them. “I’d rather not talk about it. I made sure we had a mutual understanding,” the humor he expressed at Odilon calling him Tumbleweed was replaced with the something else. Quiet determination? Flashes of the fight flicked through mind, he had made sure the older boy didn’t walk away unscathed.

He turned his attention to the relationship between Ozias and Odilon and pointed from one to the other. “What are you guys doing here, other than enjoying the smell of owl droppings,” Dennis asked. Perhaps the question would give someone else a chance to talk about the letters that they had decided to send, anything to get the attention off himself.

Ozias had seen it as rather strange that his fellow ravenclaw had managed to get himself into a fight instead of the Gryffindor that the universe had presented to them. Weren't the Ravenclaws supposed to be the nerds who got their lunch money stolen by the Gryffindor Jocks without any uprising? This situation held some semblance to events that he paid more attention to in his muggle school years, except the roles were reversed.

"That's ironic. The Ravenclaw getting caught in a fight instead of the Gryffindor." He spoke with the lowering of his eyebrows and his eye returning to its natural shade of jet black.

The next thing that happened was Odilon's discovery of his more supernatural aspects.

"Well, there goes my secret. It must've been the eye. Speaking of secrets, though, do you two have any?" He decided asking wouldn't do much harm. "I bet some type of secret could help you with everything that you've had to deal with." He targeted his last line toward Dennis.

Soon after, Odilon proceeded to get closer to the other boy and toss his arm around him. He even offered to sort out revenge, which Ozias found amusing. But in response, Dennis quickly stated his uncomfort on discussing the issue. There was one thing that Ozias did want to know, however: "Who won the fight?". But he didn't push his luck. This decision of his didn't disappoint, because Dennis managed to think of something else to talk about.

"Well, I originally came here to try to wake up. Which I have clearly done." He let a couple of seconds pass in silence. "Secondly, I was actually going to practice shapeshifting for the first time at the Hogwarts. I could try to right now if you'd both like."

Truth be told, Ozias was hoping for them both to agree. Partly because he formed his first idea.

Smoothing down an imaginary flyaway in his hair, Odi kept his face impassive as Dennis declined his duplicitous offer. "Oh well." He sighed dramatically, removing his arm from around the Ravenclaw boy's shoulders. "I suppose I'd better get this sent off." He held the letter in his hand up briefly before returning to his wrestling match with the nearest tawny.

"I was actually going to practice shapeshifting for the first time at the Hogwarts." Odi heard Ozias continue speaking. "I could try to right now if you'd both like."
An endeared eyeroll and smirk crossed Odi's features as he inclined his head to see the two boys out of his side-view. "As entertaining as it would be to see you exert yourself, there's no imitating a face as pretty as this. He gestured delicately across his countenance, an imperceptible radiance gliding over his features in the dawning sunlight.

Catching himself before revealing too much, Odi turned back to the owl he was battling and finally managed to afix the envelope in it's beak. "Make sure you take it to the London Wildes." Odi warned the bird sternly. "I'm not going to feed you an extra mouse just because you were too stupid to fly to my grandparents in Italy."
