.Cool air brushed the back of Odi's neck as he scaled his way up to the owlery. Silently musing that he should have worn a scarf, he gripped the letter in his hand tightly to his chest in order to keep it from blowing away in the breeze.
Passing the door to the main landing, Odi clambered up to where the majority of the owls were perched around the walls of the building, his dark eyes scanning over them lazily until he saw one that looked bulky enough that the February chill they were seeing of late wouldn't bother it. "Come here. He said softly to the bird. The owl gave a vague hoot and turned its back on Odi gruffly. Great. Odi thought to himself. Even the owls are sick of me now.
Odi could hear commotion coming from outside the owlery door, and he peered his head over the side to see who was approaching. He cursed under his breath at the sight of two Ravenclaw students prancing up the walkway towards the tower. Odi had made sure to leave his common room early, in the hopes that no one would be awake to ask him uncomfortable questions about the letter he held. He peered down at the envelope in his hand, his mind recounting its contents in his head.

Dennis had an important letter to send at once. He had spent all night trying to put thoughts to paper and failing. Finally, and begrudgingly, when he had finished the task, it was already light out. Had he really pulled an all nighter just to write something that should have been so simple? The 11 year old cursed his luck, slinked off his desk chair, grabbed his bag with the finished letter, and just about crawled out of the dormitory.
Somehow, and with great effort he made it to the stairs of the owlery. He wasn’t sure he had the energy to make it the whole way. Could he have sent the letter later? Of course. Could he have gone to bed and slept in to make up for the lack of sleep? Yes. But Dennis didn’t want to have to worry about this letter anymore than he already had. So up the stairs he went, dragging himself up step at a time. Why did the owlery even have to have so many steps to begin with? Luckily, he spotted a familiar face at the entrance. They had met a few times, most memorably in Herbology. It was Ozias. He gave a wave and flashed a deceptively bright smile, “Morning! What brings you up here so early?” He pushed the door open for Ozias to go first, unable to anticipate what he was getting himself in to by not having just gone to bed and sleep in.

Date ???Outfit Spoken/Thought #9570DD/#4066E0Ozias had woken up early. He was neither sure why he had woken up so early nor realized that he had the capability of doing so. Regardless, he knew that he wasn't going to able to go back to sleep with the sunlight that seeped through the window and its curtain that resided ever so close to his bed. So, instead, he decided to wake up by going to a place where nobody would be: the Owlery.
As sleep's presence further distanced itself further from him, the boy's mind had decided that the day was going to be a dreamy, head-in-the-clouds type of day. But despite his mind's insistance, Ozias chose to rebel against it, choosing the opposite of what his brain wanted: a down-to-earth, mentally present day. This presented a battle; one which he, after getting dress rather slowly, barely won.
But if he were going to the Owlery to think, why did he want to win?
This was a question he did not know the answer to. Maybe it was a final act of spite that his subconcious managed to generate in its argument's final moments.
As he opened the door to the remainder of the castle, Ozias considered himself to be lucky. This was, however, mainly because his house's common room was the closest to the owlery, thereby lowering the chances of the universe requiring him to socialize with anybody this early into the day.
Walking out of the common room, he was able to quickly find the staircase that led to the Owlery. As he ascended, he considered himself even more lucky as cold air rush towards him from an unknown source and as well as from the amount of stairs was more than he originally thought. This allowed his mind to wake up just enough to comprehend the gibberish that humans call English.
Seriously? He thought, as he heard a voice seemingly call to him. He lifted tired eyes up toward the voice. Dennis's apperance caused him to sigh with relief. At least it's someone I already know.
"Hey. Good morning." He responded in a combination of a groggy and deeper-than-usual morning voice. "I just-" He paused for a moment. "I just woke up early and couldn't go to sleep since. Thanks for the door, though." He walked through while holding it for Dennis.@Dennis Tumberton, @Odilon Wilde

.Glaring down at the Ravenclaw boys who were disturbing his early-morning solitude, Odi rolled his eyes. He looked around for more owls on this level that would be able to take his letter, but they were mostly sleeping in their nests on this floor. He sighed. He knew that he would have to pass the two little jolly-holly's downstairs eventually. Wiping the sleep from his eyes, he clambered back down the ladder and looked around for an owl.
A charming smirk played at Odi's lips as the two boys stared at him as he came down. He was used to people gawking, but something about the enthralled confusion that registered on the faces of people around his own age was eminently more entertaining. He ran a hand over his head and shook his head as though he were shaking out a long mane of hair. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." He drawled breathily. He sauntered by them to the closest tawny owl, sending the aroma of expensive perfume sweeping over their senses. "I didn't think anyone would be awake at this time." He gave the two of them an inquisitive look, as though his statement demanded them to explain themselves.

Everyone seemed to be incredibly tired this morning. Ozias mentioned waking up early. This made sense. He let his ever happy-go-lucky facade down for just a moment and hints of the tumultuous night he had slipped in, “I’ve been up all night trying to write this letter…” His voice was solemn with a hint of remorse, or was it sleepiness. Bed sounded really nice right now. Why didn’t he just stay in bed. He shook his head to stay awake and then plastered on his trusty affable smile. He was about to say something else, perhaps ask what letter Ozias was going to send, but was surprised to find someone already here.
As he came down, Dennis smelt something that made him try and fail to stifle a cough. What was that smell? To the 11 year old boy, his only experience with strong perfume was when a girl didn’t take a shower and still wanted to get out. This Gryffindor must really not have showered for days if he smelt this strongly of a woman’s product. Or perhaps he was a girl, it was really early and Dennis couldn’t really tell in the pale morning light.
Being a child, he didn’t even process that he shouldn’t crinkle up his nose at the smell of other people. Dennis tried to hide it with a yawn that turned into a genuine one really quick as the new person stated something about not expecting to see people. He probably spoke for the three of them.
Dennis dug the letter out of his back and produced it for the others to see. It was impolite to not introduce yourself to new company so this person smelt like a girl but didn’t have the manners of one. “I spent all night writing this letter,” Dennis explained for the second time and this time not bothering to hide the need for sleep on his face. “I’m just here to send it. I’m Dennis by the way. Dennis Tumberton.”

Date ???Outfit Spoken/Thought #9570DD/#4066E0Upon stepping into the owlery, his darker eye immediately turned to a dull, stuffed olive as his senses were assaulted by the blend of the owls' odor and a lingering scent of perfume. It did, however force him to wake up, albeit purely through its grotesque stench.
Before long, Ozias spotted the form of a third person, their features obscured due to his eyes requiring time to adjust to the light of the room. Second by second, the figure was revealed to be a Gryffindor student who appeared to be slightly older than the duo who stood, seemingly dumbfounded at the entrance. Amusingly, the first thing that the figure said was rather sarcastic comment that caused him to release a sharp sigh out of his nose and grim smirk.
"Sure, Mr. Figure," He responded with a touch of his own sarcasm, attempting to suggest that he appeared as nothing more than a mere silhouette to him. Yet, he wasn't entirely confident he'd catch the implication. "Easy enough when it's too bright to see," He did, however, decide to attempt to defuse the situation with a change in topic "My name's Ozias Tsongé,"
The next person to speak was Dennis.

.Rays of sunlight bounced off the sharp edges of Odi's buzzcut, acting as a halo around his immaculate features as Ozias replied "Easy enough when it's too bright to see." Odi let out a lilted chuckle- This one had a little edge to him. He liked that. Odi wondered wether his confidence would falter once the heat was turned up in this situation.
Letting his eyelids droop seductively, Odi gave Ozias a dangerous grin as he spoke. "Odilon Wilde, of the London Wilde's." He introduced himself with a gracious semi-bow. "And flattery will get you nowhere, pretty-boy." He shot a captivating wink at Ozias, his eyes scouring for any kind of visible reaction to his flirtation.
"I spent all night writing this letter." Said the other boy, who had introduced himself as Dennis Tumberton. Odi flicked his gaze to him, his eyes seemingly latching onto something infinitesimal in the boy's choice of words. "All night, hm?" He asked, his gaze drifting between the Ravenclaw and his letter. "Must be an important message if it couldn't wait till morning." He jutted his chin gently towards the envelope to indicate at it. "What's it say, Tumbleweed?" He demanded. Once again Odi's gaze became notably perceptive, his mind ever-scrutinizing for any sign of defiance or weakness in the face of his mockery.

The boy called Odilen…Odilan? Or was it Odinon? Dennis decided right then and there to call him Odie. Odilon seemed to flit around like a muggle’s fairy tale fairy to the Ravenclaw’s blurry eyed, sleep deprived mind. Even though he was stationary, all the eyelashes and bows, together with the smell of owl defecation, perfume, and the morning light, gave the whole act a very surreal feeling. Why was he so pretty in a such a smelly place? It gave Dennis a headache and he wished the other boy could turn the glamor down a bit.
Ozias asked about whether he stayed up all night or not. Leave it to a fellow Ravenclaw to argue about semantics. Dennis really didn’t understand his incredulous attitude especially when he was fairly pleasant in class. He dismissed it as early morning grumpiness and thought no more of how his friend replied to him.
He was about to answer Ozias when pretty boy also asked the same question. Not only were they flirting way too early in the morning but now they were also mimicking each other. Dennis nodded sleepily nonetheless. Dennis chuckled at the nickname, though. “Tumbleweed? That’s a good one,” he was visibly too tired to even find it remotely offensive. “You are real funny, Odie, I like you.”
Dennis shuffled past the pair and looked around for an owl that wasn’t tired, sleeping or uninterested in him. He didn’t forget that Odilon had asked about the contents but if he didn’t get this sent, he’d be in trouble. “I got into a fist fight with an older kid and I really didn’t want to tell my parents. But it’s better they hear it directly from me first,” Dennis mumbled. Even after a trip to the Hospital Wing, he still felt the original backhand of the first contact.

Date ???Outfit Spoken/Thought #9570DD/#4066E0Up until this moment, Ozias could hear everything that had been occuring within his surroundings, but his vision held a different story. With it not being able to fully adjust itself within the past five minutes or so, Ozias hadn't really been able to see "properly" and had been squinting to see more than usual; everything had a blur to it that was only further enhanced by the light. Annoyance had grown slowly, but steadily within his mind. A few seconds later, with an unnoticeable clenching and release of his jaws, he enhanced the effect of the cones within both of his eyes. As soon as his metamorphic abilities had done its job, he had promised himself that he would never take his shapeshifting for granted again.
The first thing that he had laid his eyes on was the boy who stood in front of him. At first, Ozias thought it was some trick that his mind played on him, but the one named Odilon looked....abstractly alluring. He took a few second to observe his next actions which were only taking advantage of what he thought was in his head. But only one question remained:
How does he know what is going inside of my own mind? He thought as his previously olive-hued eye created a tornado-like swirl to darker olive to mark his confusion.
Almost immediately, Odilon wink at him, which, at a glance, wouldn't seem like much, but from Ozias's point of view was more effective than he thought it would be. As unexpected as the action was, he only looked away with a laugh. But his eye quickly swooshed to a Coppery, Sienna Brown that was sufficient at conveying how flustered he was, though there was a rather high chance of the other boys not understanding due to the fact that brown was not related to embarrassment.
Despite the setback, he was able to quickly look back and finally say with raised eyebrows, "Well, you're the one who started it." which was, despite his confidence, the only thing he could think of saying in the moment. Quite frankly, he had might as well been speechless.
The next thing that he heard was slightly disgruntling to him and forced him to turn toward Dennis.
"You got in a fight?" He inquired in a sightly concerned tone. "Are okay? With who?" He asked a decent amount of questions to start.@Dennis Tumberton, @Odilon Wilde

.The corners of Odi's mouth twitched downward in surprise for the first time in the entire interaction as his eyes registered what he was seeing. Ozias' eye had changed colour right in front of him. A trick of the light maybe? He wondered as his brow furrowed in confusion, Human transfiguration is way too complex for a first year, unless... "You're a metamorphagus." He exhaled as the realisation dawned on him. "Oh, you are extraordinary." His eyes glinted in the dawning sunlight as he drank in every aspect of Ozias' appearance.
Pulling his attention away from the shapeshifter, Odi's eyes settled upon Dennis, who seemed too scatterbrained to even take his insult to heart. Witless and unquestioning. Odi thought to himself as he listened to Dennis talk about the content of his letter. I like this one. He silently wondered to himself how such a personality type had managed to wriggle their way into Ravenclaw, before reminding himself he didn't think he possessed any of the virtue Gryffindors were known for himself.
"You got in a fight?" Ozias asked as Dennis finished his story. "Are you okay? With who?"
"Yeah Tumbleweed, tell us more about this." Odi added, waltzing over and slinging his arm round Dennis. His voice had a distinctly honeyed tone about it as he spoke. "You want me to go sort 'em out? I'll make sure they never bother you again."
