Klaus was stuck between feeling apathetic or disgusted by the entire scenario unfolding in front of him. Was like watching one of those poor tasted shows of comedy when one is not sure how to react, you want to keep your composure and politeness, but the show is just too bad to be able to ignore. "Ridiculous..." He commented in a low voice, looking at the Mornsterns with an eyebrow raised and wearing an expression of disbelief. It was almost disheartening to see how far one could fall, almost disheartening because he couldn't care less. In fact, it was bringing him a pleasant feeling, being witness to such a humiliating moment. A low chuckle escaped his lips as a mocking smile reached his lips, "erbärmlich" pathetic watching Lucian lifting his sister by grabbing her arms in an apparent painful way. "A barn would be too nice for her." Klaus stated in reply to Lucian's hissed comment, looking at his new cousin with disdain. "In a ship?" He heard Orianna's judgmental whispered voice asking to her husband, "Apparently." Henri short answer followed quickly after.

Klaus mother's next comments came to the room like a sharp blade made of ice. Klaus felt its coldness run through his spine, like a silent command to be awake and attentive. Her silky and calm voice came out of her mouth like a river made of poison, which naturally flowed along its usual course. "Mother, aunt Sadie has never cared for our standards. Why now?" Alaric scoffed. Klaus looked at his brother with a smirk. Sometimes, even with all his detachment, his twin seemed to be able to get lucky with his choice of words. "Only scummy Werewolves are influenced by the moon." Alaric continued, "I know the poor lad doesn’t have the best immediacy family but they aren’t THAT bad!" he finished putting his arm around Lucian's shoulders. "Unbelievable!" Klaus thought, how was Alaric able to say it all, even mixing wrong facts, was really...beyond belief. "Aren't they now?" Klaus asked in a cold expression looking at his brother.

"Your standards are ridiculous" Wren snapped. Klaus looked at her with astonishment, was she answearing to his mother in that tone? His first reaction of surprise was quickly replaced by a sentiment of displeasure and slight enragement. "Y'all look at me, i'm all high and mighty but you're not and if you weren't so busy flapping your gums, you would have noticed you were missing this" The girl was now holding his mother's necklace in her filthy hands. "Accio necklace" Orianna used the summoning spell by moving her wand in an arcing motion. The necklace immediately left Wren's pocket and flew straight to Orianna's delicate hand. But before she could say something, Adrian made himself be heard, "Girl," his deep and hoarse voice came in a low tone, "In my house, this kind of behavior is not tolerable." He continued, clearly controlling his temper, judging by the bulging veins on his temple and the redness of his grave face, "Leave this room now, I'll have a conversation with your father." He commanded not leaving space for arguments.

As if taking the lead from the entire combustible atmosphere, Lucian decided to take a stand after all the veiled accusations thrown at him. Klaus saw him push Alaric away from him to finally come to face him. "Good, it's about time, cousin." Klaus thought with no little amount of smugness, sending Lucian a devilish smile that slowly widened with each answer he was about to deliver, "I know many things about the moon, but I am particularly delighted by how it affects you, Lucian. I was waiting for desert, but...should I say it now?" Klaus asked calmly tilting his head, "You say I'm bitter, I say I don't like liars. I despise them." He stated assertively, his voice slightly harsher leaving behind some of his usual sarcasm. The hate in his cold blue eyes was now evident, when he walked closer to his cousin "I'm not the one pretending to be someone I'm not. But tonight will be the perfect night for everyone to see it, to see who you really are Monrnstern. And most importantly...it will be the night where everyone will recognize what you are not." Klaus continued, while lowering his lips closer to his cousin's ear, "If you have any kind of faith..." He said in a whisper, "pray. Pray that this is not the last night of your miserable life." A bell rang at the same time Klaus straightened up with a smile on his face, "Good luck, cousin." He then turned around and saw his uncle and aunt entering the room followed by yet another of their shameful acquisitions. They really had a particular inclination to choose them poorly.

Wren spoke about the people that don't get enough food. It reminded him of Maila; she had said that to him when he started a rather short lived food fight with her. He took on the same attitude he had then and sent her an obnoxious frown, "I do not see how that is our fault that those lazy people can't afford food. Maybe if they make the most of their miserable lives, they would be able to afford an simple bread roll," he commented. Why should Alaric care that there are people (no doubt the mudbloods an the half-breeds) that can't afford something that he could afford tenfold? He didn't make them laze around in life. If they had paid better attention in their education and gotten a decent job they would be alright. Or the ones that have millions of children. The famous Weasley's, for example. Full to their ears in the scruffy, ginger morons despite continuous financial struggle. Maybe it was for the best that older one was killed.

Alaric couldn't help the snigger at Lucian's choice of words. "I doubt she is the only thing in her past to be called a wreck," he murmured. Obviously something happened to her parent's if she as now living with his cousin. Something like a ship wreck, perhaps? Mother made a comment about it to. Wait. Ship? "Боже мой... Miss Mornstern, are you a pirate!" he asked, he couldn't help the bouts of laughter that erupted within him. A bloody pirate! "Where ist deine parrot?!" he teased, naturally adding in the odd German word in his sentence. He did that a lot when he couldn't thin of the words fast enough, it staved off any lingering with his sentences and any humiliation in his lack of fluency.

Alaric felt anger surging through his being when she started to shout at his mom. He could tell Klaus wasn’t most pleased either if the look on his face was anything to go by. "You’re going to let it speak to our mother like that?” he hissed lowly at the elder twin. Then she topped the cake by brandishing mother’s necklace. "Who do you think— Give that her back to her!" Alaric ordered, "How dare you disrespect our mother," he added at the same time mom called for her jewellery back.

Grandad called for her, making her leave. Too right. "Should never have stepped foot in this house anyway," Alaric said to himself, adjusting his shirt collar. He was getting worked up and hot and it was annoying him more than usual now.

Although, there was one thing that intrigued him more than how Wren could work her way inside his family, and that was whatever secret Klaus and Luci have. The way that Klaus moved around him is calculated and each word had meaning, Alaric just couldn’t for the life of him figure it out. All this talk about moons, fake selves and werewolves? The fact that Lucian seemed more uncomfortable than he was. It wasn’t adding up. It had been like this since we went to Hogwarts for whatever event they had been hosting at the time, a few months back. He started tapping his leg. Perhaps October? His anger from the necklace thief had vanished as his emotions dipped to make room for confusion and frustration. "Can someone please tell me what is going on?" he asked with a clenched jaw. Did he even want to know? "You have been giving mother looks ever since we got here," he muttered to Klaus.

They didn’t have time for a proper conversation, however, because his auntie, uncle and the other boy showed up. The boy was hiding behind auntie Sadie. At this point, Alaric wasn’t surprise. He shifted in his position. "Hello auntie, uncle. C….ousin," he held back shuddering. Father had mentioned that this boy was a mudblood. The taste that it left in Alaric’s mouth was how he envisioned feaces to taste.

"Brother. Look what the cat dragged in," Henri commented, looking Malakai up and down. He didn’t show it on the outside, but Alaric could tell Henri wasn’t impressed. "Hello, boy. Sadie," he greeted, catching his wife’s eye. Alaric smiled mischievously. Oriana Havertz and Sadie Mornstern under the same roof? That would be fun to see.

This wasn’t good. Lucian was now very sure that Klaus planned to out him tonight and it was making him feel nauseous. He didn’t have time to be worrying about Wren! About what a mockery she was making of the family, about how she is disrespecting his aunt. "Please, stop. You’re embarrassing me," Lucian said quietly, ignoring Alaric’s parrot question. He didn’t want the truth getting out, really. How she was raised as a pirate. How unbecoming. "Lar, chill out. You’re not helping," Luci said to his cousin, "Wren- she- well she didn’t mean anything by it. She was going to give it back, aunt Oriana. She’s just showing off," Lucian stumbled, not looking at Wren as he looked in between Alaric and Oriana.

Grandfather soon asked her to leave.

It was soon made clear to Luci that Alaric wasn’t in the know, given by his other outburst of the night. Yet, it begged the question if auntie knew or if she just agreed on Klaus pushing his buttons. Yet… "Me? Me pretending to be someone I am not? Klaus, you walk around so high and mighty pretending to be so kind, charming and gentleman like when you’re nothing better than the dirt on an elves shirt. Begging to please mummy and degrading anyone you get the chance to," he sniped, sending a stare at the German boy. This back and fro was getting a tad tedious now and all Lucian wanted to do was eat and then go home. He was aching to prove to Klaus that he isn’t a weak boy he can push around. Begging to be given an opportunity to prove himself.

He couldn’t do that though.

Instead, he was saved by the door and his family waltzing in. The ‘pleasantries’ were made, of course Alaric had to be himself as he introduced himself to Malakai. "Nice to see you again, Alaric. Hello Klaus," Sadie greeted with a slightly forced smile. Lucian knew that she didn’t hold anything bad against the boys; they were a product of their parents. Young enough to be naive but old enough to do damage. "Henri, Oriana. You both look dress nicely," she commented. Lucian looked at his aunt and uncle, they did look smart. Sadie was pretty too though, dressed in a beautiful, off the shoulder, low, red velvet dress. Luscious black heels and her hair waved and down, flowing past her shoulders and displayed across her back.

"Father, why did I see Wren leaving this room? She didn’t look the most happy," Georg asked with a frown, hands in his grey suit pants.

"There is no blood parrot, you melt" Wren exclaimed wringing her hands in the air. She didn't appreciate being mocked by this person she barely knew. "Oh you want the necklace, come and get you dolt" she smirked swinging the necklace back in forth before it was ripped out of her hand. Of course that was when Lucian had to pipe up and say she was embarrassing him and then had the audacity to turn the family and tell them she was just showing off.

Actually Lucian I wasn't going to give it back and by the way the only thing you should be embarrassed about is how easily you are mind controled by this man" she said gesturing towards their grandfather. She narrowed her eyes at Lucian before rolling her eyes. Their grandfather spoke up and told her to leave "I was just on my way out old man. Maybe instead of scolding me you should focus on the breath you have left or just keep your mouth shut every time you open it I smell must and death. she grinned before addressing Alaric's comment "Oh trust me Love, never want to step inside this crazy family manor in the first but you have nobody but Georg to blame for that" she heading for the door before turning around a calling for her cat. "Come on Frosty, we are not wanted here" she said and watched her silver and grey shoot out from under the table and jump onto her shoulder. "See no parrot" she said to Alaric before smiling and leaving the room just as her father entered.

It's good to stir up a little trouble in the family!

If this wasn't the most interesting Christmas Klaus had ever lived to witness...

The blonde haired boy looked at his cousin with dazzling blue eyes, amused with all the spectacle she was continue to perform. Her lack of civics was just proving further that she did not belonged to that noble house, her presence there was unwanted, her existence, was entirely and merely a mistake. Her uncle Georg might have had some hope of taming her with good manners and proper ladylike behavior, but Klaus seriously doubted that was possible, especially since his aunt Sadie was what the girl would have as an example to follow. How could a family fall so gravely? How could they live by tearing their family's pride to pieces? To stain their blood for so little...

Looking at Wren was like witnessing the living example of why preserving traditions was so important. Keeping the family loyal to them, to insure their prosperity and prestige. What happened to uncle Georg to create such a madness and unfitting being and bring it to their home? Perhaps he has been charmed? Poisoned with a love potion?...all the possibilities that crossed the boy's mind had a common answer: weak, he was weak. And that specific trait had passed down the line of succession, because it was the same weakness that Klaus knew he was seeing in his cousin's dark brown eyes.

Whatever was happening around him, he let it fade into background noise. His parents hissing at Wren after she showed herself like the little thief she was… Klaus hadn't needed her to steal his mother's necklace to already know that. His grandfather sending her away... the girl babbling like a wild hen...Non of that mattered. His steel eyes were focused on his real target for that night, the real reason why he had been so eager for that family reunion. He had a mission, to show his grandfather who was the real Lucian, what was he, and who was really worthy of his affection and to be his heir.

"Me? Me pretending to be someone I am not? Klaus, you walk around so high and mighty pretending to be so kind, charming and gentleman like when you’re nothing better than the dirt on an elves shirt. Begging to please mummy and degrading anyone you get the chance to," Lucian told him with what Klaus saw as fake bravery. He knew that his cousin was scared. He knew there was no way the boy could escape the truth that night, even the sky had blessed them with a full moon, as if it needed more enlightenment. Klaus also knew, that Lucian's words were meant to hurt, meant to make him show some of his temper...but a low chuckle was his response, and he felt a need to laugh in his cousin's face. His light blue eyes were glowing with amusement and a smile was prestinately glued to his face, "You take me in such a high expectations cousin, thinking that I would go around doing all that pretense and effort to please others. I don't need to resort to such means...all I need is to not be afraid of showing who I am, I am not ashamed of my blood, of my name..." He paused giving Lucian a long look before continue, "Worry not, I'll help you, no need to hide yourself anymore." He said with a devilish grin, his expression becoming more predatory even if in a boyish way.

"You have been giving mother looks ever since we got here," Alaric muttered to Klaus, "Just be quiet and listen. You've been doing great tonight brother." Klaus replied to his twin, laying a hand on top of his shoulder giving it a light squeeze in a reinsurance way, before dropping it back to his side.

Perhaps it was fate having some mercy upon Lucian, when his parents finally decided to join them cutting all the bittering between the two young boys. Alaric greeted them immediately but Klaus preferred to be addressed first. He stood, watching the exchange of words between the adults in the room until Sadie directed herself to him and his brother. "Aunt, uncle." He replied shortly with a polite nod. "Sadie!" Orianna greeted in a drawling, melodious voice that contrasted aberrantly with the coldness of her gaze, "So kind, as always." She continued with a soft smile, but the way the word kind left her mouth clearly sounded like having a total different meaning, a far more condescending layer of malice. "And Henri," Orianna said turning her attention towards her brother-in-law. Even a few inches smaller than him, somehow, the way she looked at him was like she was taller, and was looking down upon him, "Your heart has always space for more...isn't Wren the living proof of it?" She continued smiling and briefly looked around the room as if looking for something, before looking at him again, "Should we expect more of this surprises? Sure dear Sadie wouldn't mind, she will always welcome you and excuse your...how can I say? Reveries!" Oriana said with a soft voice waving delicately with her hand.

Adrian cleared his throat as to put a stop to that train of exchanged words. Klaus smiled to himself. "It's enough." The old Wesley said gravely, "Dinner will be served shortly, let's sit." He invited them all gesturing towards the long and elegant table. "Father, why did I see Wren leaving this room? She didn’t look the most happy," Klaus heard his uncle ask to his father. "Happy you say?" The owner of the house looked at his son with eyes that grew darker, "Happiness is not what that girl needs. Now is not the time, but we both still need to talk. Like men. Sit down, Georg, no more disappointment for tonight." The old man said to his son with short, sharp words, before turning around and sitting at the top of the table.

Klaus followed the interactions with interest while sitting in his chair right in front of Lucian. The Durmstrang boy looked at his cousin with a smirk. It was close, pretty close, the moment he had so eagerly be waiting for.
