Wren had never known silence to be so suffocating. Usually, at home, where she wishing now more that ever to be, it was always silent, but not like this. This was an irritating, grating silence that scraped through her head making everything feel tense. She couldn't believe Willow apologized for them, they had done nothing wrong and it was all those weirdos' faults! She felt she could taste Willow judging her, probably blaming her right now for the whole situation. But it wasn't her fault! This whole thing was making it very hard to enjoy her meal, which was hand made by her family chefs with a few cute little notes and treats wishing her well. It was a lovely meal and it was all being spoiled because of those dumb oafs. What do you wanna bet they were Griffindors?
"It wasn't our fault." Wren stated in a cold matter-of-fact tone. Both looked up at her mid bite with shocked expression on their faces, clearly not used to her starting conversations. She sighed and continued. "I bumped into that nasty one when looking for a place to sit and he started having a temper tantrum over it. Regulus stepped in trying to help," bless him, poor guy has no idea how to help in a situation like that. "But it only made it worse because those weird upperclassmen are senseless oafs that can't tell the difference between first years and prey." She said this last bit while looking down at her plate and stabbing her fork with, what some might call, a bit more force that strictly necessary. Both Regulus and Willow turned to look at each other at the same time, as if to ask did she really just say that? The group lapsed into silence again, Wren finally able to enjoy her meal feeling that she'd set thing straight. When finally they'd all finished their lunches Willow was the one to speak up, clearing her throat she said,
"Well we should get back to the cart now, we could all probably do with a nap before getting to the school." The rest of the train ride was thoroughly uneventful, filled mostly by sleeping, reading, and small bouts of chatter from Willow and Regulus with Wren chiming in from time to time. All together Wren found the ride, surprisingly pleasant and before long they were pulling their robes over their head and being instructed to get off the train and leave their belongings behind. And although Willow and Wren did lose Regulus in the throng of first years getting off the train, they had a funny feeling that this wouldn't be the last time they met up with them, now that they were here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"Well we should get back to the cart now, we could all probably do with a nap before getting to the school." The rest of the train ride was thoroughly uneventful, filled mostly by sleeping, reading, and small bouts of chatter from Willow and Regulus with Wren chiming in from time to time.
With the train almost arriving, Regulus excused themselves to the bathroom to change into school robes. "Ha..." they sighed, clutching their sleeves while walking. I wish I could have done something for Wren... Why am I always like this? They shook their head, attempting to get rid of these thoughts, though failing miserably, resulting in a deeper sigh while clutching their sleeves tighter.
Finally, Regulus arrived to the bathroom, so they quickly got changed and hurried back to their compartment, to their friends. Friends... this word somehow doesn't feel too foreign to Regulus anymore. A small smile slowly appeared on their face but quickly disappeared again after noticing the boy from earlier glaring at him. They half ran back to their compartment, realising the express had finally reached Hogwarts. Wren and Willow were waiting inside, and the three of them left the compartment.
Unfortunately, the boy from earlier saw Regulus again and walked pass them, intentionally bumping into their shoulder. "Watch it, first year." he snarled and walked off. Regulus stopped and rubbed their shoulder, which is aching slightly and once they looked up, they lost sight of Wren and Willow. I hope I will see them again... They thought as they got off the Hogwarts Express, heading towards the direction everyone else is heading.
