"Oh, cool. I hope you enjoy your trips then, that sounds quite fun." Lea was pretty sure her vacation plans consisted of staying at home, but she hadn't actually asked her parents quite yet. Perhaps they had sorted something out while she was at Hogwarts, now curious after talking about it with Linda. "Do you have family there or is it just for fun and to travel?" The latter best fit how the other talked about the trip, but Lea wanted to be sure. It could very well be both after all.

"Oh uhm," She hadn't anticipated how on edge that would make her feel, an arm reaching up to gently tug at her braid. "No need to thank me quite yet- I haven't taught someone before so I don't know how much help it'll actually be." Her head bowed slightly, brown eyes glancing up towards the other with a tinge of worry, but she quickly returned to normal. "But yes, numbers." Back on task, that was easy enough to follow.

"Richtig," correct/right She nodded lightly in confirmation, only switching the z in 'einz' to an s instead. "As for the rest of the numbers..." She'd hold up her fingers to indicate which number she was saying as she continued, "vier, fünf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, und zehn." four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten. It was Lea's turn to write them down on the piece of paper before handing it back off to Linda so that she could see them and properly understand. The lesson would continue in such a manner, mainly Lea teaching vocabulary or simple phrases and continuing to write them down so that she could rip the pages out later and give them to the Gryffindor for future reference. She seemed rather shaky, but hopefully proved a good enough teacher for their first lesson.

"Oh wow- not the two languages I would have expected." What her expectations had been, the Hufflepuff wasn't too sure on that either, but those wouldn't have been her first guesses. "But that's interesting- I don't know how similar they are to German or English, how challenging was it to learn those two?" She had found that similar languages felt a little easier to understand quickly, but it also left her prone to making errors as the vocabulary accidentally mixed together whenever Lea forgot words. Perhaps the same thing happened with those languages or they were different enough to not pose an issue.

"I have some family friends there in Germany and Switzerland probably for buying new mansion there. But both are more for fun still. Linda smiled. It was going to be great time. Perhaps they would have a new mansion in mountains or even close to waterfall. And as for Germany, that was entirely for fun. Just to know new places as she didn't travel before. Well, not counting going with her brother sometimes to his work. Did you travel somewhere? It was sudden question that just appeared.

Linda repeated some times each numbers in a whisper and then repeated them louder for Lea to check. She was wondering if she said them right and what will be next. These numbers sounded really easy. If everything goes like that, she surely won't need much time to learn basics.

I think Italian, English and German are somehow close. Their alphabets are really close except just some letters. But Russian I find it different from them. Do you know something else except German and English? Though Russian surely could be found difficult for some people. But it didn't take her much. That was interesting talking. She liked the fact that they were studying and somehow getting to know each other a bit more at the same time.

"New mansion?" That was the detail that easily stood out to Lea, unable to hide her confusion and surprise at the casual mention. Buying a new mansion in a place where she hadn't travelled before suggested that it wasn't the first mansion and the Hufflepuff didn't quite know how to react to this new revelation. "Ah, uhm-" she cleared her throat, eyes still a little wide as she looked down at the fountain, "-well family friends should be nice to see again, but fun's a good reason. Do you have another mansion in the UK or closer? Is that a new home or just for vacations?" Perhaps it was rude to ask more questions on the matter, but she was curious and it took her a little off guard. It made sense that some people had mansions, purebloods with family money, but she expected them all to be annoying and uppity. Linda- wasn't that from what Lea could tell.

"Ah, no. Or at least, not that I've heard. We might explore around the UK though." It felt weird having so little plans after what the Gryffindor had shared. There was a little bit of embarrassment at the lack of detail or conversation she could provide, instead grimacing slightly as she nodded her head. At least her focus could return to the actual lesson for the time being, correcting any potential errors in pronunciation and bobbing her head when the numbers were right.

"Ah, okay. That makes sense considering their proximity- probably some trading of language along the line." Brown eyes glanced thoughtfully towards the sky above before she shrugged. She'd have to look into the languages a little more, somewhat aware of what Linda was talking about but not to the degree she wished. "Just English and German. I debated learning some Spanish, but never really got far." So Lea had dropped it, especially so after learning that she wouldn't be following the typical schooling system and could instead pour her time into learning magic (once she believed it to be true). "But it's cool that you know- or are learning- four. Certainly will help with travel... as you know." The third year bowed her head slightly before glancing back towards the first year.

Linda smiled. Yeah, new mansion. It will be more like vacation one. And I am living in mansion, my hometown is England. She didn't find these questions annoying. That was okay for her and she could understand the reaction. She didn't act like most were expecting from rich people. But this was probably also thanks to the way she was raised. I think it will be great. I mean in this case when my friend or my family member will go there, they could stay in this mansion instead of searching for a place to stay.

That's still sounds great. You know spending time at home also can be great. She still had some friends there and even if not meeting them, she always enjoyed time at home.

Linda looked at Least checking if there were mistakes wondering what they will study next and will they continue now or it's enough for now and they will meet later.

Spanish? Or it's pretty close to Italian. It's so nice that you were learning it even a little. Linda looked quite interested in this topic, but they still had lesson. Do you want to continue with lesson or we will continue another time? It would be rude to just assume that they would keep studying now. She bothered Lea from her plans so perhaps the girl would wish to continue another day and now do something else. However, if she was ready to continue, Linda was ready to listen.

"Ah okay- and is it just the two?" Just, as though even owning one mansion wasn't baffling to the Hufflepuff. "Yeah, don't have to worry about hotels being booked up- that's nice. Plus plenty of space for those larger family gatherings." Lea could only relate to it through movies or videos she had watched when back home, never fully fathoming how it might be a reality rather than an exaggeration. "Well, have fun on your trip then- I'm sure you'll find a nice place." Were there bad mansions? The third year couldn't be sure.

"... Thanks." She offered the other a weak smile, glancing away after a moment to stare off into space. "Yeah, it'll be nice to see everyone again- plus I'm sure there'll be a lot to catch up on." Whether news or just the rapid pace of technology, never was there a dull moment as Lea continuously reintroduced herself to the muggle world each break. It was an overwhelming process, both shunning it and falling into rabbit holes where hours passed in an instant. Did Linda do this as well? "During breaks, are you more in the magical or muggle world?"

"Ah okay- I didn't know that." It made sense, nodding along lightly. "Let's- take a break for now. I should probably head inside soon, but I can make some notes for you to review and practice. Does that work?" She tilted her head, writing utensil held above the page in preparation should Linda agree. "I'm sure there are also resources in the library that can help- I can recommend some titles later via owl?" Hopefully that would be enough to let the Gryffindor self-study until they were able to meet again.

Oh, yeah. One we are living in and one we will buy in summer for vacations. I guess there's no need in more. Linda smiled. She felt so natural when she talked about it that she even didn't really notice how casual from her it might sound.

I am in magical world every time except some rare times, but even then it will be just something like train to hometown or something like that. What about you? It was interesting way of knowing somehow if the other one was muggleborn or not. Halfbloods could be in both, purebloods would be in magical world, but muggleborns would be more in muggle world, as Linda could guess. Although she surely could be wrong.

Surely, that would be great if you could give me some notes and send some titles later, thank you so much for your help. Linda smiled enthusiastically. She also was going to go inside soon, but first she will walk some more time outside.

After collecting her things and taking notes from Lea if she would give them, she was ready to go to walk. It was really nice time and she knew she could learn it even more later. It was nice time. I am happy you agreed to help me. It will be nice to meet some time in future.

After saying that Linda started to walk away to the Great Lake and then she would go to her room.

"Ah, okay. Well, that's nice." She wouldn't comment on it further, more than happy to stay away from the topic now that her questions were answered. It was fascinating to hear about other lifestyles, but Lea didn't like the rising jealousy that came with comparing the two. Best to brush it off for now and continue onto the next question.

"Oh, that is rarely then. Trains do make for good transportation though, less likely to get sick than some of the other options." She'd pause, nodding her head lightly before continuing, "no, I switch between the two. It's always a bit strange going home and seeing phones or computers but no wands. I got used to it so quick." There seemed to be a hint of sadness or longing in her voice as she sighed and folded her arms, but it wouldn't stay long as brown eyes glanced back up at Linda to focus on the task at hand.

"Sure, it's no trouble. In fact, it's nice to have others wanting to learn the language- but yes, I can get that to you." She blinked, offering the hint of a smile to the Gryffindor before making a little note to herself about the books and writing out some lessons for Linda to read and follow along with. There might have been an awkward pause of silence as Lea concentrated all her attention down at the page, but the Hufflepuff wouldn't notice. Finally, she'd tear out the pages and hand them over to the other student before beginning to pack up her own supplies while glancing back occasionally at Linda to maintain her focus on their conversation.

"I agree, it was a nice time and that's kind of you to say." She bowed her head lightly. "I hope we meet again soon, have a good rest of your day." With a final snap of a clasp, all her belongings were secure in her bag and Lea would get up from her seat at the fountain. A final nod and Lea vanished in the opposite direction towards the Hogwarts interior.
Lea leaves the thread.
