Round 2 was.... something else. But if Cash have to put it down in a sentence, it would be a mix of brutality and chaos. Here's the breakdown. The first spell come from Ravenclaw's side of the platform. This time around it was Adelaide Barlowe who tested her luck and spell-casting ability. With a raised wand, doing both the incantation and the wand movement for the Fire-Making II spell Adelaide Barlowe had chosen AngelFyre McCubbin to be her intended mark.

It seems Barlowe made the lost count from the last round as she give a literal hell to McCubbin. The jet of light coming out from Barlowe's wand and how big of fire she sent toward McCubbin, could roast an entire full barrel of meat into perfection. The fire started to lap McCubbin up and it seems from how serious the fire situation that burned McCubbin, only Merlin knows when it going to end.

Not far from Barlowe's success in casting her spell. Samantha Salwis, taking the same page and hoping for a different result, reuses the same spell as last round but she changes her intended target. Whereas in the last round Salwis chose Baird as her mark, not this round. Changing from Baird to AngelFyre McCubbin and at the end Salwis got what she hoped and wished for which is hitting the opposite player.

With the strong gust of wind from Sam's Wind Jinx, it spread Barlowe's Incendio Duo even more and Cash felt sorry for the second-year Hufflepuff. But thank Merlin for magical remedies. Once this duel is over McCubbin will be healed and patched up like she did not get burned alive. Switching from the bird's nest now moving on to the badgers hole.

Though Cash could sympathize with being burned slowly, McCubbin pushed it through like the strong soldier that she was. Still being lapped up by the pesky fire that slowly burns her skin, AngelFyre McCubbin retaliates. It was a case of rinse and repeat for the young badger as she used the same spell as the last round and chose the same target.

Just like Salwis did, McCubbin also hoped and wished her Flipendo did not fail her this time. Lo and behold, what she wanted is what she gets as her Knockback Jinx managed to strike Adelaide Barlowe up on her stomach forcing the second-year Raven to take a few staggering steps back as the wind was knocked out from her.

To close it off this round, it was Logan Baird's turn to showcase her spell-slinging ability. It seems the highlight for this round is using the same spell and hoping for a different result. Not only McCubbin and Salwis used the same spell on their opponent, but Baird also follow suit. Making the wand movement and saying the incantation for the Full Body-Bind curse, Baird raised her wand toward Samantha Salwis.

Luck was indeed in her favor as the spell hit Salwis and the third-year bird fall down to the piste's ground with a hard and loud thud. "Holy crap!"Cash cursed out and jumped out from their skin a little bit. It was a rare occasion for the young Ironwoods to cursed out. But when Cash was annoyed, angry, or even surprised at something they did curse out from time to time.

Although Salwis is and always will be Cash's least favorite person, they did not wish Salwis to fall to the ground, unmoving. But then again, all is fair in Duelling. And the green eyes could not wait for how this match will pan out. Only time would tell.

A small grin formed on Logan's face as she watched her spell hit Samantha. At least something was going slightly okay this round. Apparently her partner was not doing as well though as the girl winced at the sight of her fellow Hufflepuff being in flames. Yeah, maybe Logan should have prepared a little more when it came to getting ready for this duel because things were not going well.

If asked what chain of events occurred in the second round of Match 4, and answering correctly meant saving Simon's life while answering incorrectly meant he would lose it, AngelFyre would not have been able to save her boy. Everything went to H-E-double-hockey-sticks in a flash.... and she meant that both literally AND figuratively.

What AngelFyre remembered was that Adelaide was the Fast Draw McGraw of the round and she got a spectacularly petrifying Incendio Duo off in AngelFyre's direction. She had faced the regular Incendios in other matches and those were bad enough. Still, as badly as she feared them, she was always able to face them down when necessary. This monster was in a different league though. It was just.... more; the heat, the speed, the size of the flame.

She did not freeze, she knew that, but she was unable to move out of its pathway quickly enough. In less than a blink of an eye, AngelFyre found herself engulfed in flames. Excruciating agony just as quickly engulfed her. There was nowhere to turn to get a breath of air that did not singe her throat or the lining of her lungs. The moisture in her eyes and brain felt as if it were simmering, but it was her skin... oh, she could not even think on that or she would run off the piste in a panic.

Dear God, please let this end soon and....

AngelFyre did not get to finish her thought. She did not know it at the time, but the flames were fanned by a powerful Ventus which had been successfully cast her way by Samantha. She was knocked back due to the extreme force, again, something she was unaware of, but what had not escaped her notice was the intensified heat and spread of the flames.

She did not have long. She knew it. Her ability to reason was slipping from her quickly. She was no longer standing where she thought she had been on the stage, so her aim would be off a bit, naturally, but AngelFyre mustered a "Flipendo" which she would not truly know for some time after the match had been semi-successful. Her Knockback Jinx cast at Adelaide was impaired, but miraculously, it went off all the same and hit the intended target. Given the circumstances, she would later take a little bit of pride in that small bit of success.

As soon as her casting arm fell back to her side, AngelFyre struggled with whether or not to simply drop and roll and extinguish herself. Thinking was hard. She instead just let her mind drift to happier, cooler, times... and to Simon.

"Can we dance in the rain, love? It is just so hot right now," she would whisper to him... to herself really.

While imagining her blessed relief from her current reality on the piste, Logan cast a powerfully effective body bind curse on Samantha, and the Ravenclaw apparently dropped to the floor. Again, something AngelFyre would not be cognizant of in those particularly painful moments, but it would be another moment to take pride in when this match was over and done with, and the sooner the better.

Uncertain as to how much longer she could bear it, AngelFyre made the conscious decision to buck it up as best she could, for as long as she could, and tried to focus. No one had swept on the stage to put her flames out so she assumed that meant the match was still ongoing. And she, too, would go on, at least a bit longer.

At Addie's comment about her aim, she rolled her eyes. "I think you are the lucky one. If the spell would have shut you up, I wouldn't have minded it at all," she said with a fake little smile. In her mind, Samantha had already come up with many other comments to throw in Adelaide's face. However, there was little time for chatter as the duel demanded her attention and she should at least keep it civilized until Adelaide wasn't her partner anymore.

Either Adelaide was fond of fire or just practiced the spell a lot, as her cast seemed to be extraordinarily powerful. Nothing but a small nod was given to Adelaide by Samantha to acknowledge the excellent spell-casting. The captain was too proud to comment on it out loud just after Addie mocked her aiming skills. Her own spell also found its target this round. With a soft smile, she watched the jolt of wind she created make AngelFyre's life a bit harder.

Sadly, both Badgers were also set on winning. Just before she got struck by a spell, she saw, from the corner of her eye, a flipendo hit her partner. But the young girl did not have time to process it, as she had fallen victim to another Petrificus Totalus. It was a horrible thing, feeling yourself lose balance and not being able to do anything about it. The world flashed by as gravity did its job and pulled Samantha to the ground, where she would probably stay for a while.

Adelaide scoffed at Sam’s reply, but decided not to respond and instead focused on her opponents. She was feeling quite feisty today, and after her failed attempts to land a successful Incendio Duo in her last duel, she was determined to land a successful one this time round. The Ravenclaw had been practicing nonstop, so she wasn’t exactly surprised when she successfully hit AngelFyre with a perfect Incendio Duo.

Although, it was so powerful that the flames that engulfed AngelFyre surprised even her, but she was still mighty proud of herself. Unfortunately, though, she wasn’t able to perfectly dodge AngelFyre’s Flipendo, but at least it didn’t hurt as much as it normally would. And then Sam went down from an unfortunately well-aimed Petrificus Totalus. Hopefully she would be able to break out of it soon, but it seemed Adelaide was on her own for the next few rounds at the least.

When round 3 of the match rolled in, it was a bit quite boring. Sure there are still some actions from the respective sides of the piste but it was less entertaining for the green eyes. Here is why. After being hit by the Full Body-Bind Curse by Logan Baird, Samantha Salwis let gravity take over as she fell down to the ground.

Tough she might try, but Samantha Salwis still could not break the spell that bind them into a statue-esque until only Merlin knows when she could break the bind. For AngelFyre, being burned painstakingly slowly did not deter her for one bit. Sure the flame started to dwindle down but it does not mean AngelFyre would give mercy to the only Raven who stood on her own feet since Salwis was still under the effect of the spell.

With a determination of incantation and wand movement for the Knockback Jinx, the young Hufflepuff which is AngelFyre McCubbin raised her wand and pointed out to where Adelaide Barlowe was. If Cash would compare AngelFyre to any magical and mystical creature, she would be a Phoenix.

Ex cinerem et resurget from the ashes she rises that what AngelFyre is as her Flipendo hit Adelaide Barlowe's chest and thus knocked the wind out of her. It was a two-one-two for both Baird and Barlowe's case. As soon as she saw her partner successfully hit Adelaide Barlowe, the fourth-year Badger not too far away from McCubbin.

With her own style of Incendio Duo, Logan Baird slung the deathly spell toward Adelaide Barlowe, and soon after that, the fire started to lap Barlowe. And Cash wonders whether this is a case of silent revenge since Barlowe did the same thing to McCubbin in the last round. Being burned up slowly was not the case for one Adelaide Barlowe.

Although Cash will never know how painful it was being burned up slowly while trying to cast a spell, it did not stop Adelaide Barlowe to retaliates. While holding in the pain from being burned, Barlowe copied from McCubbin's page as she did to cast the Knockback Jinx. But it seems luck was not on Adelaide Barlowe's side.

Though Adelaide Barlowe successfully cast her Flipendo toward AngelFyre McCubbin, McCubin could dodge it faster than you can say Accio!. And thus, Barlowe's Knockback Jinx was a waste as the spell did not do anything to McCubbin since McCubbin was out of harm's way.

Okay, things were going a little bit better but not by much. Her partner was still very much on fire and Logan was concerned. The Hufflepuff took a deep breath after her successful cast of Incendio Duo, something she always felt bad about later. Who would not feel guilty after setting someone else on fire anyway, actually Logan knew of a few Hufflepuffs who would willingly set someone else on fire so she couldn't say much.

It was no fun at all, not being able to move, not being able to help her teammate. In her head, the young girl cursed the spell that had made her unable to move. During a lot of her previous duels, this same spell had made her life a little harder as well. Strength was never Samantha's strong suit and she failed to break free from the horrible curse.

Well, this round certainly didn't go as she had hoped. Sure, she had expected for the both of them to aim for her, she was ready for it, considering her partner was temporarily out of the game and lying on the ground, but she didn't expect both of their spells to hit. First, AngelFyre's Flipendo had hit her, and if that hadn't been enough, Logan's Incendio Duo also had.

To make matters even worse, AngelFyre was able to dodge her own Flipendo, so this round was most definitely not going her way. She gritted her teeth through the pain, "Mind trying a bit harder to break free? You're even more useless when you're not even moving," she hissed at Sam.

Unbelievably, that last round seemed to go better for the badgers. The flames licked and broiled her skin still, but she found a certain little something had clicked in her brain and it had become manageable... barely. To her even greater surprise, both she and Logan had hit Adelaide. Better still, AngelFyre had dodged Adelaide's incoming attack. Thank you, spidey senses. Things were still quite "iffy" all around and the surefire win (pun definitely intended) this had looked to be for the birds last round was definitely not looking to be that in this moment. The badgers were still in this!

She wanted to acknowledge her partner's spell casting in that moment, but she thought it best to stay silent and direct all her energy on blocking the pain. The flames had to go out eventually, right?
