Rita was glad that she had successfully struck up a conversation by asking everyone else in the group how they felt about going back home. The Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater listened carefully with a friendly smile on her face as Asher, Anna, and Ethan took turns to talk about how they feel about finally going back home after spending such a long time at Hogwarts. "I just cannot believe 4 months had passed so quickly! And I have to admit they are totally right, it certainly feels a bit weird to suddenly go back home after spending such a long time at Hogwarts. The scenery at the Scottish Highlands, my dearest friends, the food, the clubs, the various activities and events... There are so many things that I am miss at this magical school! Oh no, I feel like I am going to cry!" The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater thought and even becoming to get a little emotional.

"I totally agree with the three of you. I miss my family in London while I am here boarding in Hogwarts for the past 4 months, but now suddenly I am about to go back home, it does feel a little weird." The Second Year Hufflepuff beater with short straight black hair and a pair of yellow glasses finally responded to the other members of their little group of 4, "The scenery, the friends, the activities, the food... There are so many things I am going to miss when I go back home, and I even get a little emotional when I think about it.

"So, what are your favorite part of Hogwarts, if I may ask? For me, it is hard to choose between the various activities and the food, and I would almost everything at Hogwarts is pretty good, except for the boring lecture, the homework, the rules, and detention threats!" The Second Year Hufflepuff beater than throw another question at the group of three, and waited for the three of them to respond. Hopefully, they would not mind this new question.

“Yeah, the food is pretty great,” Ethan agreed with Rita. He remembered the bountiful feasts that were always available in the Great Hall. “I don't think I ever went a day without being well-fed,” he said with a laugh.

Ethan was surprised by Anna's answer, as he hated both of them. “No way. I don't like both of them,” Ethan said. “I mean, who likes lectures and homework They're both so boring. But I guess we all have different opinions.”

He chuckled as he thought about Rita's question. “Where do I even begin?” he asked. “I think the best part of Hogwarts is the company, the people, and the endless supply of forbidden knowledge..” He trailed off, lost in thought. 

He was so grateful to be able to attend such a prestigious school and learn everything he could about magic. “It's home, in a way. I can't imagine leaving it, even for a little while.” He said, quietly.

Ethan thought for a moment about Anna's question. “I don't know.. they're all pretty difficult,” Ethan replied with a shrug. “But if I had to pick one, I think it would be potions.” Transfiguration was hard, no doubt about it. But potions?  That was something else entirely. He doesn't think there's anything worse than dealing with all those stinky ingredients. At least with transfiguration, you get to change things into something else. “I'm not very good at potion brewing. Every time I try to make a simple potion, it always comes out looking like something that would give you a disease.”

It felt great to know that everyone else more or less shared the same sentiment when it came to leaving for the holidays, they all viewed Hogwarts as their home away from home, which made it just as sad leaving it as it was going to it the first time around. "Couldn't have said it better", Asher said as he agreed with what Rita said, it felt incredibly weird leaving Hogwarts after staying there for so long, but just like when he came arrived there the first time, he was also looking forward to seeing his family again.

Asher smiled as Anna expressed her love for homework while Ethan completely disagreed with her, Asher definitely shared Anna's opinion on that "I love the homework they gave, it was more of an excuse to use more magic really" not that Asher needed an excuse to use spells, he would practice each Spell like a madman with an obsession.


Asher thought about Rita and Anna's questions before answering "I enjoyed all the activities there but learning new spells and magic in general was just too fascinating for anything else to compare, aside from trying said spells of course" he definitely enjoyed learning about magic but he also equally enjoyed trying put spells in different ways, that was one of the many reasons he developed an interest whe it comes to dueling.

"And as for my least favorite subjects, there really wouldn't be any, I mean I am not in love with all subjects, but I definitely don't hate any" he then frowned in concentration for a second before continuing "I mean if I had to really think about it, it would be History Of Magic, while its definitely a subject worth learning its just not that interesting to me, but never mind that, what are your favorite subjects? Mine is definitely Defense" he said with a smile on his face, Defense combined between learning practical knowledge and cool spells, what is there not to love about it?

He then turned to Ethan smiling a somewhat nervous smile before speaking "I could-um-help you with potions if you want, I am not half bad at it myself, if you want to of course" Asher hoped that he didn't sound to nervous at the end of his offer, he wasn't used to offering help to others, not because he doesn't want to, but because he doesn't have that many freinds in the first place and he doesn't get the opportunity to offer his help.

Listening carefully to what everyone else in the group expressed their opinions on their favorite parts of Hogwarts and their favorite and least favorite classes, Rita did not feel like the 10-hour journey back home was as long as it actually was. When the Second Year Hufflepuff beater with short straight black hair looked out of the window, she felt that they were gradually traveling far away from the Scottish Highlands and her little muggle family in London seemed nearer and nearer. The Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater really enjoyed those casual chats, and through those small talks with the other three wizards in the group, Anna, Asher, and Ethan, the time definitely seemed like passing a lot faster.

"I would say I don`t really mind Transfiguration and actually kinda like brewing potions and studying their effects, but I agree with you about History of Magic, Asher. I know it is an important subject, but I just cannot help falling asleep with the professor`s monotone. Besides, I actually find DADA to be a bit difficult, though I would say learning the steps of casting those spells and doing spells practice with my classmates is quite fascinating!" The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater finally replied, "My favorite subject, however, it`s definitely herbology and flying! I am just really fond of studying different kinds of magical plants and interacting with them! As for the reason why I love flying, it is actually quite obvious, as I am a Quidditch player and I think I should always focus on improving my skills on the broom to help my team succeed in the game! Right, Ethan?"

After Rita finished speaking, she again showed a friendly smile to the other group of three, and waited for the other members of their small group to respond. Hopefully, they would not feel uncomfortable about the Second Year Hufflepuff beater always talking too much at the same time.

“Yeah, definitely! It's like you're free from everything, and you can just go wherever you want! It's also really useful, especially if you're a Quidditch player like Rita and I are.”

The other subjects at Hogwarts, like History of Magic and Potions, were fine. But they could never hold Ethan's attention the way flying did. He always got bored within a few minutes, his mind wandering off to thoughts of flying, quidditch, or even his cat.

The potion class was always a bit of a struggle for Ethan. He was never quite able to get the right proportions for the ingredients, or to get the mixture to boil at just the right temperature. As a result, his potions often turned out watery, burned, or just flavored oddly. It was a constant source of frustration for him, and he had been feeling increasingly hopeless about the class as the semester wore on.

So when Asher offered to help Ethan with his potions, he was both embarrassed and relieved. Embarrassed because Asher had to ask for it in the first place, but relieved because finally someone was offering to help him. “That would be great, thank you,” he said, his smile widening.

As the snow lazily fell outside the train window, a sense of excitement began to fill the air. Ethan immediately perked up at Anna's words. He sat up, his face lighting up with glee. “It is snowing!” He said as his hands clutched the window in anticipation.

“I'm going to build a snowman!” He was just as excited, if not more so. He was already making plans in his head for the biggest and best snowman ever. He was going to make sure it had a huge carrot nose and sticks for arms. Maybe they could even find a hat or scarf to dress it up.

Asher was never a people's person, before coming to Hogwarts he never had any freinds and barely interacted with anyone outside of his family, which is why he found himself quite happy with the atmosphere forming around this compartment.

Despite the fact that he can deal with people alot better now and act make new freinds he was still nervous whe he first came to sit here, now he just felt relaxed and happy at how everyone talked about the things they love and like to do.

Asher now also now knew about each one of their favorite subjects! It was interesting to hear others talk about the things they enjoy learning about, as it gives more about their personality and interests! "Quidditch sounds fun but I never actually tried it, I don't think I can handle maneuvering with a broom like that". Asher wasn't bad at using a broom, he was just average at it, he was definitely not skilled or committed enough for Quidditch to join the game like Rita and Ethan.

Asher felt great when Ethan actually agreed to his offer! He felt the slight nervousness he felt wash away and he smiled widely to match Ethan's smile. "Don't mention it". After that Anna noticed that it had started snowing outside, Asher grinned at seeing the snow, it brought back some fun memories that he shared with his family, he was definitely going to enjoy this holiday to the max.

Rita listened carefully as the other members of the group continued to discuss about their favorite subjects and stuff like that. It seemed that everyone was enjoying the intriguing discussion and was eager to share their ideas, which definitely made the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater feel delighted, cos the extroverted and open girl just could not have too many friends, and Anna, Ethan, and Asher all seemed to have some interesting personalities and opinions, which was not exactly same to Rita herself. Anyway, the three first-years really seemed to be great additions to Rita`s friend list, at least up to this point.

Suddenly, Anna pointed out that it was snowing outside. Rita glanced at the window beside her seat and began to feel really excited when the Second Year Hufflepuff beater saw those snowflakes falling from the sky. The trees and the grounds were all covered with a snow-white coat, which was definitely quite pretty. The black-haired Hufflepuff first-string beater giggled, thinking about those fascinating things such as the snowman building and the snowball fight that she could play with her little muggle family when she finally arrived home.

"Yeah, Quidditch is really thrilling sport and the flying lessons are incredibly essential to Quidditch practice and matches! I also have to admit it is quite dangerous flying on the broom and striking balls, so I understand it is not for everyone!" The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater finally replied, "Yeah, it is snowing! Look at the white coat of the trees and the grounds, isn`t that beautiful? I am definitely going to build a snowman and have a snowball fight with my parents when I arrive home! By the way, any idea how you all are gonna this white Christmas holiday with your family? I am definitely going to do many interesting things, having family feasts, doing Christmas shopping, the family day out, and many more! I believe it is going to be an enjoyable Christmas holiday!" The Second Year Hufflepuff beater then threw another question to the group with a friendly smile, and waited for the other three members of the group to respond.
