Autumn Fun
I watched as Ebony continued to draw figures in the snow. Needless to say, it was pretty fun. Ebony had asked if I had liked the cold. To her response, "I can tolerate it but I am not the biggest fan. Thankfully, I brought my jacket today. I am glad it is not below freezing level." I said rubbing my hands together with my gloves on.
Ebony had mentioned to me that she had forgotten her jacket. "Oh no, you forgot your jacket? I have an extra one that doesn't fit me anymore if you want it! I don't want you to freeze" I said in empathy. I handed her an extra jacket that I had and to my surprise, it fit her. Soon, she was not shivering anymore. "Looks like you've warmed up. You aren't shivering that much as you were before so that's good to see" I said as we continued to draw stuff in the snow. I continued drawing and doodling different things in the snow and I was amazed at the fact that my hands weren't going numb from the cold. After all, it was cold enough to the point where we could both see our breath. My rule of thumb is that if it cold enough to see your breath, then you need to wear a jacket. At least, that is what my mom and dad always told me. I am so glad that I had listened to them all of these years.
"We are approaching Christmas pretty soon in a few months. Do you like to do anything fun for the holidays?" I asked.

Ebony was surprised when Allison said she only tolerated the cold, as she seemed to be enjoying the snow. Just as she felt as though she was going to become an icicle, her friend said that she had a spare jacket and gave it to her. Ebony gasped in delight and put it on. It was quite tight, but Ebony was beyond thankful for the warmth. "Thank you so much, Allison!" she exclaimed, grinning and hugging her friend. She found it hard to move under the jacket, and it felt bulky, but that was the reason Ebony didn't really like wearing jackets, normally; it was because she felt that it was hard to move around in them. Their normal school robes were already bulky enough. She liked wearing something lightweight when she could choose her clothing. But, at least she wasn't freezing cold, first. She didn't want to get frostbite. She smiled as she joined Allison in continuing to draw figures in the snow; she had no gloves, but by that time she was used to the numbing coldness and it didn't bother her much. Besides, now that she was wearing Allison's jacket, she was all warm now. Allison mentioned Christmas. Ebony celebrated it at home with her parents, but since she came to Hogwarts, she hadn't really participated in many celebrations. Not even her birthday. "Not really. I just enjoy skiing, and I mostly just look at the snow and stay at home; maybe go out and draw the landscape from time to time," Ebony said in reply to Allison's question.

Autumn Fun
Ebony thanked me as I handed over my extra jacket to her. After all, I didn't want her to freeze and it was very cold outside. Temperatures sure seemed to drop pretty quickly around here but she was used to the cold as she lived in London for a while. It was almost always raining and cool there. She then embraced me with a warm hug. It was nice because since it was so cold, she felt warmer with someone hugging her. We giggled and laughed as we continued to draw things in the snow. I started gathering snow together and found some sticks to make a snowman. Ebony joined in and added a scarf to finish it off. We stood back admiring our hard work. We started getting onto the topic of Christmas and Ebony mentioned that she usually celebrated the holidays at home with her parents. I just enjoy skiing, and I mostly just look at the snow and stay at home; maybe go out and draw the landscape from time to time," Ebony said.
I listened attentively to what she was saying. "I've never tried skiing. Maybe I should try it sometime whenever it snows again back home. I'd of course have to go to a shop and buy skiing stuff" I said.
this is long overdue. thanks for being patient with me.
