Cooking Love! PV TCC members

As Thorn was called and started to walk toward the kitchen for her audition, Shiawase smiled after her.

"You got this! I'm sure whatever you make will be absolutely delicious!" she said. And as other people were called, Shiawase gave them similar words of encouragement. Until it was her turn. As soon as her number was called, Shiawase wheeled forward into the makeshift 'kitchen.' The good news was that the partitions gave her privacy . . . the bad news was, she didn't like having that privacy. She liked the instant feedback of seeing everyone's reactions to what she was doing. It was actually more nerve-wracking this way. But, well, she reasoned, even if they couldn't see her, they could still hear her. And so, she cleared her throat.

"G-good day, everyone. It's a pleasure to meet all those I hadn't met before, and my greatest delight to see those I have met again! Today, I'm preparing for you a special meal because it is close to my own heart. I am making you an omelette. It may not sound terribly exciting, but the reason I chose this meal is because my dad would make it for me when I was sad back home. There's something about it that makes you cheer up when you see it. Allow me to demonstrate."

She smiled a confident smile and began wheeling all around the kitchen, cooking up a storm. As she did, she explained exactly what she was doing.

"We are of course using left-over rice to make some egg fried rice. We're going to add some vegetables to this, but I'm making them special with a little innovation."

Instead of frying the vegetables with the rest of the rice, she instead set them aside and poured a mixture of soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and a few other ingredients on them. Then, she put them in the broiler, taking them out to turn them and putting them back in.

"By grilling the vegetables, they're going to come out really crispy and have a nice char to them. But, of course, we don't have grills as such, so I'm going to use a broiler instead. But you have to keep a close eye on them and be sure you put them in a pan so you don't have a bunch of liquid going into the fire of the broiler. It's a quick way to ruin your stove."

The vegetables were done really fast, and as soon as they were, she added sesame oil to them before tossing them into the rice, which already had her egg in it.

"Usually, you put in the vegetables before the egg, but since they were already cooked with the broiler, they're already done. Now I'm just gonna add some scallions and then we're ready for the finishing touch!"

She moved the egg fried rice over in her wok and put in the omelette ingredients. When they bubbled enough, she went to flip them, and flip everything in her wok. And that was when her trick was revealed - she was making fluffy omelettes, and when she flipped, those who could see her cooking would see just how big and fluffy they were. And then she folded her fluffy omelettes around the egg fried rice, and at the very end, she gave a satisfied smile and used the back of her robe sleeve to wipe a little sweat from her brow. It didn't matter if she did everything as perfectly as she wanted to - she made it!

"And now we're at the part that makes this special. See, my dad always wanted me to know how much he loved me, so . . ." She pulled out some ketchup. "This is what he'd do."

She drizzled the ketchup over her fluffy omelettes into a few heart shapes. Then she waited for Kim to sample her dish. As he did, she bowed to him.

"I hope you enjoy it," she said. When he tried it and she had permission to do so, she wheeled the food over to the members of the Tri Cook Club, as well as those who auditioned before her. She bowed to them all.

"Meshigare. Please, dig in."

The presentation part, the part where she talked about what she was doing and why went incredibly well, and she teared up a little as the judges ate. It was amazing to share her memories of her dad. Of back home. The school year was always so tough, and the thing she always missed most about home was cooking with her dad . . . Even though she loved Hogwarts, it was natural to feel homesick from time to time.

Cooking was a labor of love, and she hoped the judges could taste how much love she put into each dish for them. That was the most important thing. Even though she cooked this so many times with her dad, admittedly, it was her first time using a broiler instead of a grill. So many things could have gone wrong. It wasn't certain her dish would be delicious - it could have very well come out awful with how nervous she was. It's why Shiawase kept talking as she cooked, to hide how scared and worried she was. Otherwise, she might have gotten caught up in every little detail and frozen up.

She bowed to everyone one last time. "Arigato. Thank you for tasting my food. I await the results with bated breath." And then she wheeled into her spot among those who had already auditioned. And with every one who auditioned after her, she tried their food and went on and on about how delicious it was - even if it didn't taste particularly great. After all, the important thing was that they tried!

OOC: Augh, I did my best for writing out an audition. I hope I didn't get anything wrong. But I'll edit this post if I did. I, the player, know very little about cooking, but Shiawase, the character, knows a lot about it soooo it's tricky. I just channeled Food Wars into this post. XD

"Well, it was audition time! It was time to cook a dish and hopefully impress the judges! I honestly don`t know much about cooking, but I would try to cook a dish my mum told me, a very simple dish, tomato fried egg! Hopefully, I don`t mess up with this dish and it ended up tasting good!" Rita thought when Kim announced that it was time to cook a dish for audition!

Firstly, she needed to take out a few eggs, strike them into the bowl, and mix them together until it become an egg liquid. Then she washed the tomatoes, chop them into large blocks, and also put it in the bowl. After that, she needed to set up the fire! She took out the wand, followed the wand movement, and said clearly "Incendio!"

It was a success! A fire was lit, and Rita put a pot on the fire and began to add some oil before letting it heat up for some times, then putting the eggs in the oil, and letting it solidify. She then took out the solidified eggs, again adding a few drops of oil to the pot, and put the chopped tomatoes into the pot. She put a teaspoon of salt into the bowl, fried the tomatoes for a while, and add the eggs back to the pot. After making sure the tomatoes fried egg was fully cooked, she added some green onions for some decoration, then put the finished dish in a plate, and took it to the judges, hoping it would impress them. "This is the tomato fried egg cooked by me, hope you will enjoy it!" Rita said to Kim, who was going to judge the meal.

Cooking it was one of the passions of the Hufflepuff although he had vaguely given indications that he liked it. For that reason, he decided to join the Hogwarts cooking club, whose name was TCC or something similar. And he was late for the meeting. But for a good reason: he had been arguing with one of the house mates because their pet had wet his homework and that made the boy quite angry, who spent all day trying to finish yesterday. Fortunately it had not spoiled because with a little magic, the boy could recover the homework. Satisfied and relieved, he packed everything in his bag before heading to his bedroom. When he arrived, he left the bag and picked up his casual outfit, as it didn’t make much sense to wear the uniform when he didn’t have classes at the moment. Having finished, he left the bedroom, and therefore the common room as well.

Walking through the passageways, he found his friend Damion “Hey Damion!” greeted smiling. He hugged his friend “You’re going to the TCC club?” asked with a smile, and having heard Damion’s positive response, both boys walked towards the classroom where it was held the meeting club. That had made him a little nervous because he knew that in the club he would have to cook. Fortunately it was not going to be a problem, given that he was quite skilled and had learned to make some elaborate dishes. His grandmother’s voice echoed in his head, saying that home cooking was always the best. Finally they arrived, he looked for Kim “My apologies. I’m late for a personal problem.” muttered annoyed, looking at Kim for a few seconds and then at the others “No need to introduce myself, I’m sure you know my name.” he said.

Once he arrived, he realized that there was an auction where the participants had to cook. He had only hoped to cook, not this. But he liked challenges, so he put on the plastic gloves before going to get the ingredients first, already having an idea about the dish he was going to cook. The Hufflepuff had planned to make an entree. He made a list of what he needed to cook:

1 kiwi fruit
1 lemon
2 tablespoons of honey
Mint leaves

Having taken all the ingredients, which were a few, he began to prepare the smoothie first. He didn’t mind but he wanted to do something elaborate but simple and delicious. The boy had only one rule: never cook both dishes if it would take a long time. He started by cutting the lemon in half and squeezed it, pouring it into an American glass. He continued the next step that was to peel the kiwi, chop it and add it to the glass along with the honey “Ugh, I forgot that honey is a little penetrating.” he said, while focusing with avocados, having removed the pulp and chopped them to add to the glass. With all that together, he put in 500 ml of water. He chopped about five mint leaves, making sure the flavor was not too intense, before adding it he had to beat the ingredients until the smoothie was homogeneous.

He finished putting the smoothie in four glasses and decorated them with mint leaves. He was satisfied with what he had done, something simple but delicious. He would have prepared a much more elaborate dish with more ingredients but did not want to show his greatest strength in the club yet. He had to keep a low profile until it was time to show his best cooking skills, being able to make dishes that would make more than one lose consciousness. For such a young man, the boy was very much by the work of learning things and showing his more independent side. Cooking gave him confidence and motivation, which was one of the reasons he wanted to join the club. He put all three glasses on the table and looked at Kim “This is a kiwi avocado smoothie with mint leaves.” said, and then moved away, taking a sip of the smoothie he had made.

Damion found himself yet again in a club that had Kim as a member or a leader. Why did Damion keep doing this? Well it was clear to Damion that he was falling for the younger Gryffindor. But he shouldn't make it not subtle. Anyways... it was not like that he didn't enjoy the clubs he was a part of. In other words, he was not joining the clubs that he was not interested in just because Kim was a part of it.

Damion was late to this meeting. Shit. He thought. He was hardly ever late to things. It might have slipped from his mind. he rushed to classroom and sighed when he spotted Hades. Okay so he wasn't the only one who was late. "Hi Hades." Damion said to his friend. He hugged him back and nodded his head when he heard Hades' question. "Yeah I am. Good luck!" He said.

Damion moved inside and looked at Kim who was there. "I am sorry I am late." He said before he went to take one of the make shift kitchen's in the back, and set his ingredients on the slab. He was going to make one of the things he had made earlier. He was going to make Lemon Cupcakes and decorate them so they looked like bunnies. He had also put his recipe book next to it.

After putting everything he needed he took a big bow to beat cream cheese and butter until it was smooth. He continued to add in as much powdered sugar as needed to reach desired consistency. The he added the vanilla extract. This was for his cream cheese frosting. He put it aside and then moved to the next item on his list. Yes of-course! The Bunny Ears. Well to make the bunny ears he needed to cut each marshmallow using scissors diagonally and then immediately press the stick side into sprinkles. He had also sprinkled and sprinkles into the sticky area for some.

He looked at the note-book in front of him. Right. He needed to put the cream cheese frosting on the cupcake. He took the cupcakes and put them delicately on the table and waited for them to settle down a bit before he would pick them up and start putting them in their specific trays. He glanced at them and couldn't help but smile at them. They (the cupcakes) looked very unique and delicious. Alas!! Shame he couldn't taste them to make sure that they tasted as delicious as they looked but Damion had made these before so he knew that he was doing the right thing.

He didn't want to make a mess of the cupcakes. Then they wouldn't be suitable for displaying or look appetizing to eat. He wanted to do things by the book- literally he had a notebook in his sling bag that had what needed to be done and when it needed to be done- starting from baking them (which though he never did whether he was at home or he was in school) to the last minute decorations that he had to do. He had penciled down everything. Every small detail that he had thought would be necessary for making his cupcakes stand out. He wanted to make sure that he was doing everything right and was not leaving a room for error. In his mind, he wanted to perfect this and make sure that there wasn't anything slightly wrong with his cupcakes.

Looking at the watch on his hand he smiled. Another minute and half and he could finally put the Bunny ears and eyes on his Lemon Cupcake. He was anxiously waiting for the time to pass by sooner and hoping that it would look and would be scrumptious. He felt as if the watch's hands had slowed down. He could see the watch ticking slowly (or so he felt) second second to the minute and half mark. Damion wouldn't lie he was getting impatient more than anything. He wanted the time to pass sooner but it was taking it's own sweet torturous seconds to pass by. He sighed as half a minute passed and it was only another sixty seconds to go. He was very happy that it was just a few more seconds before he could get to the finishing touches of his cupcake.

He put on his gloves and took a pair of tweezers, and picked up the equally cut ears with pink sparkles and put them on the cream frosting. Then came a harder step. He had to be very careful not to poke around the cream frosting. He picked up the eye bit using the tweezers and placed them on the frosting. He repeated the same thing for the little pink nose of the bunny. He then added small chocolate whiskers and his cupcakes were finished and ready to be presented.

Once his cupcake was ready, he put them in a tray and was ready for them to be tasted by Kim. "I hope you enjoy the Lemon Cupcakes." He said moving forward to where Kim was.
