Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff: Match 7
Having no other choice, I put my wand into my robes before beginning to untie the blindfold I had on me. It didn’t take me long and when I pulled my blindfold off, I realized that my opponent Sophia still hadn’t cast any spells, not any with effects that I could see anyways. And Robert was back up which was nice for the both of us because while he could cast spells at us, at the same time, we could now legally cast spells at him as he wasn’t bound by the effects of the full body bind.

Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff: Match 7
Robert broke free of his magical prison with remarkable ease, an odd feeling for someone who normally was not so physically extraordinary. He pushed himself off the ground and took stock of the situation. This time Lucia targeted Sophia, but Robert was pleased to see Sophia escape unscathed once again. However, he was getting slightly worried about his teammate's lack of action. "Hey, you doing alright?" he called over.

Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff: Match 7
(Posting as Sophia)
Robert's partner seemed to suffer something of a daze. Wand in hand, the witch stalled on an action, having only the faculties to scramble out of the path from a wicked ball of flame. At least when Rob checked in, he would receive a stammered apology, and a resolute expression formed. Her partner's concern was a reminder to get her head back in the game.

Knocked Down. Must stand up to rejoin.
Sophia snapped too and assured her partner that they were ready to go, and it wasn’t wrong. Her Incendio Duo aimed at David barely left her wand successfully, but it would strike the badger true. It would seem whatever had her stuck was fading away as the sleeves of David’s robes caught fire. Lucia turned her attention back to Robert, who was in fighting form once more. She was ready to make up for the prior miss, and Lucia would do just that. Her blazing flame rocketed across the piste, covering Robert and lighting the hems of his robes aflame.
This would be when it turned downhill for both teams, albeit the Eagles would feel it much harder. As David and Robert are both being set on fire as their own spells fired off. Robert set sail, another cloth wrapping tightly around David’s eyes. David’s spell, however, was a glorious blast of blue energy across the field, slamming hard into Robert’s chest. The breath would be knocked from his body while the force threw him back, pulling his feet from the ground. David would find himself blind and on fire, while Robert found himself on the floor, on fire, and fighting for his breath back. This duel was starting to get very interesting.

Mod Note| I am back from vacation, but I do have a tropical storm about to roll through, which could become a small hurricane. We are not too worried and very prepared since we live in a hurricane-prone place. I will be affected by the storm on Wednesday, and the effects can last through Sat. I usually do not have problems losing power in hurricanes/storms, but there is a first for everything. If something happens, I will update dueling captains if they need to cover for me.

Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff: Match 7
Sophia must’ve realized that she was just wasting time by not casting any spells, because she soon cast an Incendio Duo in my direction and as much as I tried to dodge, the flames still managed to catch onto the sleeves of my robes. I braced for the pain, and was surprised when it wasn’t as bad as I expected. I assumed that me getting roasted by the fire of a Fire-Breathing potion had built up my pain tolerance so that I wouldn’t feel as much pain now, but I didn’t have much time to think as the fire was beginning to spread and I could see Robert getting ready to cast his next spell at me. I noticed my partner Lucia cast an Incendio Duo at him and since he was already taking damage, I decided that it would be best for him if he was knocked out sooner rather then later so that he wouldn’t need to deal with the pain for longer then he needed to. I took my wand out of my robes and pointed it at the boy before waving it in very familiar checkmark with a hook on the end as I said “Flipendo.”Dave - #cd0a2f
What happened next, was the complete opposite of what happened last year during my first ever duel. See, last year, my spell almost backfired on me although I had somehow managed to contain it, something I’d never been able to do before or since. But this time, I cast the most powerful Flipendo I had ever cast, a Flipendo that was on par with the one that Colin McCoire had cast at me a few weeks ago. I literally felt the magic coursing through my veins before moving into my wand and blasting out of it, knocking me back a little. The blue ball of energy flew through the air before hitting Robert, just as I was blinded for the second time during this whole match. But I didn’t need to be able to see to know what had happened to Robert because the thud of him falling down on the ground was audible enough for me to hear.
I had personally experienced one of those rare Flipendo’s that were powerful enough to knock someone down hard enough that it’d take them forever to get up, and coupled with him being hit by an Incendio Duo, I couldn’t help but feel bad for the poor boy. As I put my wand back into my robes for the second time during this round, I quickly said “Sorry about that Robert, I didn’t mean to hit you that hard.”

Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff: Match 7
(Posting as Sophia)
Sophia's comeback manifested as an Incendio Duo that hit home. She swelled with triumph, only to shout in alarm when she realized her partner had struck the ground, and was also on fire to boot. She asked if he was alright, stalling on her next move while she tried to decide what route to take.

Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff: Match 7
Lucia couldn't help the huge grin that flew across her face when David's spell hit, knocking Robert completely to the ground. "That was amazing," she enthused, "well done!" Maybe the spike of pride which hit her was silly seeing as how this wasn't her partner's first duel, but the combined facts that he was both younger and less experienced than her made the older Hufflepuff feel as though she was something of a mentor to him. She probably wasn't, of course - David didn't really need a mentor - but the idea was still there.

Ravenclaw vs. Hufflepuff: Match 7
Robert grinned. It felt good to be able to move around freely once again, and it was nice to see Sophia getting into the duel. "Nice one, Sophia!" he shouted over as her spell squarely connected with David. "Don't worry about it, glad you're alright," he shot a smile over to his partner.
Unfortunately, his good mood was not to last long. As successful as this round was for the Ravenclaws, it seemed even more so for the Hufflepuffs. In a split second, Robert found himself not only on fire, but violently knocked over. Robert winced a bit. "That was a good one, David!" he enthused. "Yeah, I'll be alright," the boy responded to Sophia's well wishes.

ReducioDavid removes blindfold
Ravenclaw didn’t have the luck they would have wanted during this match, and it almost hurt Santario to watch. They were being pummeled by Hufflepuff; granted, after an embarrassing last season, the badgers had something to prove. They bite three times as hard when the underdog comes to bite back.
Sophia continued to direct her attacks on David, ready to take advantage of his current handicap. Unfortunately, something would go wildly wrong as the flames left her wand; they veered towards her partner Robert instead. Thankfully as the boy scrambled to his feet, he easily evaded the wayward wildfire headed his way. He was already on fire and probably didn’t want any more holes being burned into his clothes as his current flame bit into his skin as a reminder that he was still on fire.
David would have a slight reprieve as he reached up to remove another annoying strip of black cloth from his face. Was he an easy target, or were they scared of the power behind his spells? Regardless he could be happy that the flames turning his clothes into a snack had died out Lucia, seemingly satisfied with Robert being on the ground, turned her attention to Sophia, who fared better when she was spaced out. Perhaps she was distracted by almost turning her partner into a charcoal briquette, but Lucia’s dancing flames engulfed her. The first time she had been damaged so far, the fire clung to her robes like frosting on a cake. Santario pondered if Ravenclaw could still turn this around, and they could, but lady luck would have to start liking them a lot more.

“That was amazing.” Lucia said after my spell had hit Robert “Well done!” And before I could respond, Robert said “That was a good one, David!” “Yeah, thanks guys.” I said to both of them as I began to undo my blindfold. I was beginning to really enjoy this duel, despite the mild pain of the fire which died down by the time I undid my blindfold. I then took my wand back out before saying “Hey Robert, no more blindfolds, please. They’re useless for both of us, and if you actually used some good spells, then I’d probably be knocked out already.”Dave - #cd0a2f
