A Meeting Different Than Planned Finished

"So you are trying to protect us? I guess I see why this cause is right." She said trying to convince him that she was buying into his reasons. She really wasn't but she wanted him to think she was seeing reason. Which she wasn't not in his eyes anyways.

"I can do that. Everything? Is that necessary?" Why would he need to know everything about Phaedra? Eri didn't want to make friends just so someone could use the said friend to their advantage. She could try and fake it but he could figure out false information very easily.

Mia Alexander. She would probably do what it takes to trick Charles into thinking she is working with him. She knew Mia wasn't all into it, but she could fake it. How was she going to respond to Charles? He wanted the truth and the truth could endanger Mia. "You mean Mia Alexander? She will do it. I am very sure about that. You shouldn't doubt her she will do what you asked." Eri was very sure that Mia would do the letter, but how far would both girls go for this group? She didn't know but Eri was going to try and remain trustworthy if she could regain the trust.

Charles was not convinced that eri was truly committed to the cause. After all why did she ask him a question about if he was trying to protect purebloods when one that is truly committed would not question what he is doing. But he could not afford to let her lose and risk losing the building steps to his plans. This group must succeed in its goals and if that means working with people he did not full trust completely or was fully convince that they were working in his best interest than so be it. He will deal with them later, But for now he needed them.

“ Eri Is that doubt that i hear, Are you doubting my reasons for this group. Are you doubting that i wish to protect all purebloods from muggle borns. “ He asked softly as he walked up to her and stood in front of her. He was tempted to reach out and attempt to touch her face. But he stopped himself and pulled back, he stood in front of her still but at arm's length now as he folded his arms over his chest.

“ Well then you better hope that mia alexander does carry out her task correctly since you think so highly of her and her abilities her failure will reflect badly on you. Do pray that she does not fail her simple task “ He said in a dark voice. It was not a threat more that he wanted to make eri fear him. Fear the things he could do or will be able to do and fear failing him. Only though fear do people work their best. Or so his father told him anyway.

“ Eri did I say I had any doubts about her ?. No I never said i had doubts only what you thought of her which you still have not told me what you think of her. Why is that Eri.. Why do you not speak honestly about how you feel. Clearly you do not want to tell me the truth about what you think.. And i want to know why “ He said his voice still dark as he kept his eyes on eri and waited to see what the ravenclaw girl will say.

Eri resorted to step back again. He was only arms length away from her right then. His voice was still soft which made her a bit nervous of him. "No I don't doubt you. I was just asking a question. Is wrong for me to be curious?" She asked trying to fix the mistake she made for asking that question. Indeed he was smarter than she had thought. She really needed to be very careful of what she said and how she acted.

A small shiver went down her spine and she did all she could to stay in place looking him in the eyes. Was he threatening her? It seemed so, or was he trying to get her to fear him? Well she was already terrified of him. She tried to speak but he continued to speak about if why she didn't say what she thought about Mia. "I think she is capable of doing her task. I also think she is good at hiding things so she will be able to sneak the letter to Maisy. That is what I think." Eri said then she stood tall and glared Arby's him. "I also think that I have the right to keep things to myself so sorry that I didn't feel like saying everything."

“ Have you ever heard of the saying about how curiosity killed the cat. Muggles decided to add the second bit to it.. But it is not true because curiosity does kill. Do not be curious about anything Eri unless you are sure it will not kill you. “ Charles said in a dark voice as he stayed still and locked eyes on her. Those that were curious always seem to be the ones that asked too many questions and those questions more often than not lead to death. He needed to make it clear that she was not to question him about anything, That she was to me a loyal follower and nothing more. Whatever he said was always right and should never be questioned at all.

“ Oh is that so Eri.. Are you keeping things from me already? . Do you not trust me Eri and what i want to do for us pure bloods. I told you why i am doing it.. I told you the reason behind it, Do you want to see a repeat of the war and the murder of hundreds of purebloods at the hands of muggle borns ?. “ He asked eri as he looked around. The anger was returning slowly.. But he also was not sure why his voice became dark. Perhaps this is what starts a wizard on the path of becoming a dark wizard he was not sure. But he enjoyed the new feeling. Enjoyed that he could make people fearful of him. But he needed to be careful around others.. Careful not to scare them so much they went to a professor. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“ I hope you are right eri. I hope you are right about Mia Alexander as everything hinges on her being successful in getting that letter published. But if it is successful than we will be one step closer. “ He said softly keeping his arms folded “ Do you wish to discuss anything else Eri . If not i will send you a owl when the next meeting will be “ He asked as he looked around the grounds so more before focusing on eri once more.

Eri just kept quiet and nodded in agreement with the curiosity comment. He was scarring her with that dark voice. She clasped her hands behind her back so he wouldn't see them shaking. He was scaring her so much. Maybe she should just do what he says and hope she can escape another meeting like this. 

She tried to act brave but her voice came out a bit shaky. "And w-what i-if I am hiding something from you?" She winced those weren't the right words. "I don't trust you that is the truth, but I also don't want war and the murder of purebloods." She said. Eri started thinking. Maybe she could try to be a spy. No he would find out very soon if she tried to be a spy.

She shook her head. "No I don't have anything else to discuss. Except what happens if someone does not show up to the meeting?" Then she frowned realizing she asked a question. "Never mind. I forgot don't be curious." She frowned. Being curious was her nature and she couldn't help but to ask questions. 

Eri looked at him and decided to tell him something that could give him leverage, but it might help her get his trust back. "You scare me." 

“ Good you should be afraid of me Eri and for good reason. I do not tolerate being lied too or having secrets kept from me. I do not tolerate traitors either. As long as you are none of those things you have nothing to fear from me “ Charles said in a dark voice as he stepped back from eri and kept his arms folded across his chest. What he said was true he did not tolerate any of those things from people. Friends of his had seen what happened to those that crossed him. To those that dared betray him. His father had taught him well to never tolerate it and he was not going to allow it happen here. He hoped he had made that clear to eri.. That if she ever decides to do any of those things he will make sure she fears him.

“ Eri I would hope you are not hiding anything from me. I would hope that a pure blood such as yourself would not do such a thing. “ He placed a hand on his heart “ You wound me by saying you do not trust me. Have i done anything to take away your trust.. Surely not i just expect the best from you that is all. “ He said in a dark voice as he removed his hand from his heart and folded his arms once more across his chest

“ If somebody does not show up to a meeting, They are considered a traitor and will be treated like one. I hope you do not become one Eri.. I am rather fond of you “ He said in a dark voice as he looked at her once again waiting to see how she would respond to him.

Eri felt like something was breaking inside of her. Was he manipulating her fear? She didn't know what to think. He was scaring her and he told her she should be scared and that made it all the more terrifying. If he wanted her on his side he had gotten her. He cracked her shell. The brunette unclasped her shaking hands behind her back. Defeat was seen on her face. 

"I'm not going to hide anything anymore. You are terrifying." She stared at the ground avoiding his black eyes. Which made him even scarier. "I didn't trust you. You seem to always know how to manipulate someone." She stated. Now she wished he would use any other voice than the dark one he is using now. She clenches her hands into fists to keep them from shak which doesn't work. When she decided to do this she hadn't expected the leader of the group to be so terrifying. What he said shocked her. "You are fond of me? How?" She kept her gaze towards the ground. He was a monster. She wanted to avoid seeing those black eyes. They just made him seem even more scary. Which was somehow possible.

Charles chuckled as he listened to Eri speak “ I bet you would want to know that answer. What makes me fond of you But then what fun would that be eri. If i told you everything and did not allow you to figure it out for yourself “ He said in a dark voice as he kept his gaze on her. This feeling that he had was something he could get used too. The feeling that someone was afraid of him which a good follower should always be. She admitted it to him which took courage as not many would have told him to his face that they were afraid. Still he needed to teach her about never revealing one's weaknesses to others. But that will be for another day.

“ I have one more Task for you Eri. I want you to find out information about the perfects for Hufflepuff and Gryffindor and report back to me when you have all the information. Find out if they are pure bloods or not. Do you think you can complete that task Eri. Remember We are doing this for the protection of the purebloods “ He asked in a dark voice his gaze never leaving her direction as he awaited her response to him. For a while he awaited and then he remembered her statement about fearing him. That memory made him smile and chuckle in a dark laugh

“ Oh eri you are right to fear me and be terrified of me for I will do what no other has ever tried to do or atleast has attempted to do And i will do it at any cost. Nothing will stop me from achieving my goals eri. Nothing and no one will stand in my way. I am going to protect our pure blood brothers and sisters from those muggle borns. “ He said in a dark voice nearly shouting at eri. He was enjoying this feeling that he now had. The sense of power and control.. Even at his age he was impressed with himself. To think what will he be like when he is older

" Now do you have anything else Eri. Or should we conclude this meeting? " He asked his voice level returning to level but the darkness remained.

Eri frowned and kept her gaze to the ground. He was not going to tell her why he was fond of her. At least he didn't get mad at her for being curious. She didn't need him to yell anymore. Especially now that he seemed to be getting darker. How did one get so dark? She didn't know, but it probably would only increase as he got older. 

Eri nodded. Another task. She didn't have to threaten anyone she just had to gather information about the prefects of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. That wouldn't be hard. At least she didn't have to write any letters to muggle borns. "I can do that task. It is simple. All I have to do is gather information." She said trying to sound confident. Eri looked up from the ground and looked Charles in the eyes. His dark black eyes.

She flinched as he laughed. Then he started to nearly shout at her again in a dark tone and telling her she should fear him cause nothing was going to stop him from completing his goal. All she did was nod and listen as he spoke. "No there is nothing else we need to speak about."

Charles chuckled as he listened to Eri “ Than I shall be leaving this meeting Eri. Do not fail me in your mission. You are right the task is easy and should not be a problem for you to complete. Oh there is one other thing “ He walked right next to eri and leaned down to whisper into her ear “ I hope i do not hear any more rumors of you hanging out with muggle borns. Do what you need to do with them and then leave them. Do you understand “ He said in a dark voice as he stepped away and turned towards the castle.

He slowly began to walk away from eri feeling confident that he had a new loyal follower one that feared him and was terrified of him. He hoped she would be successful and that he would gain more information about the perfects of the houses. But he did wondered if this was in vain. He could not remember if his father told him how long a perfect lasted. If he guessed wrong than everything they were doing would be pointless as the people that are perfects now will not be perfects the next year. But he couldn't remember how long they lasted. Regardless he needed information about them anyway. Who knows they could be useful allies regardless if they are perfects or not.
