Rose nodded in response to Aurelia. Phaedra was definitely one to look out for.

As the duel started, the Gryffindors sent a body-bind curse and a disarming spell toward Phaedra. It left Rose a little shell-shocked if she was being honest, the way that the spells just worked together and actually hit. Rose smiled a little in Aurelia's direction, though the rush of the spell hitting was quickly replaced by her focus as two spells from the international team raced towards Aurelia.

Both spells were swiftly dodged, but then Phaedra cast a spell. A gust of wind came toward Rose, and she wasn't able to duck out of the way in time. "Dang it," she murmured under her breath. This was not an optimal position to find herself in.

Somehow, Phaedra's spell was able to split into four gusts of wind, two of which targeted Aurelia. At least Aurelia was able to dodge the four spells sent at her.

"People really seem to hate you, don't they?" Rose said to Aurelia, watching her opponents carefully.

Aurelia may have been untouchable, but her partner was not. One Ventus trailed towards Rose as intended, but celebration went abandoned as she steadyied herself for retaliatory efforts. And that they did—from her opponents hurled a trio of spells. The first came from one of the foreign students as an aggressive and fiery play. Its trajectory seemed off, and while the element seared dangerously close to the top of her scalp as she ducked, Phaedra could not muster the same speed for the others.

Joints tightening to a painful degree, her left hand was disarmed and then violently fixed with the rest to her sides. Gryffindor's combined hits fueled a backwards momentum, and she rigidly fell belly-up onto the piste's hard flooring, a noisy, guttural sound from her throat indicating that she'd landed all but comfortably. The back of her head would undoubtedly acquire a soreness, previously long hair taking with it some minute cushion for the skull. At her height, it likely meant a head injury anyway.

Despite the inability to move a muscle, her senses remained intact. All Phaedra could see from the ground was sky and the occasional flash overhead. Her partner was still somewhere beside her, unscathed when she'd last noted his status just seconds earlier. She could not communicate much to him should his eyes meet hers, but she expected he'd have enough sense to save himself. Quite hypocritically considering her last duel's antics, Phaedra was boiling at the reality of being overpowered so cheaply.

It was difficult to find an upside to the situation, but it was there: paralysis meant temporary safety, lest one wish to get chewed out by the moderator. In a sport judged and won by endurance, Phaedra did not understand why the Gryffindors would mark her off limits to attacks, thereby increasing their own odds of being focused. Had they already forgotten the third team's involvement? If she could roll her eyes, she would. By all means, if that was the nonsensical game they wanted to play, Phaedra would not stop them nor Aurelia stupidly lambasting the foreigners in her favour. ...Merlin, this bind was ridiculously strong.

As he suspected, the girl of which he directed his first spell had incredible evasion, he had to give it to her. Narrowing his eyes, a frown fell onto his lips as both he and his partner's spells missed the girl. A taunt was sent his way by the fierce Gyrffindor girl and he merely sent her a lopsided smile in response. "If you are the fire that burns me, it'll be worth it." Milo called, tossing the girl a sly wink. A little bit of flirt couldn't hurt anyone, if anything it could be a distraction.

Unlike her partner, the other Gryffindor seemed to be more modest but got hit with a strong gust from one of the Ravenclaw's. His gaze wandered over to the two of which were both silent. He'd note to note that the sender of the Wind Jinx also got hit with the nasty Body-Bind Curse. Neither of the two Houses should be underestimated yet the blonde also felt confident that neither of them had been scathed yet.

Finally his attention was drawn back to his partner, Verona. "Milosh Rehnquist, I have a preferred nickname as well, that being Milo. Durmstrang over here." The boy hummed out, mild chatter between the rounds, his thicker accent sliding over the English words.

"Keep up the good work, dodge the spells and maybe also try landing them this time." He joked, nodding his head to the girl, confidence overcoming him, but this time her clamped down on his ego, making sure it didn't bubble over since the first round didn't go.. favorably for them. Well here's to the next round and hopes that it'll be better.

Just like what Ronnie had predicted, six wands in one setting never end up good. Once the go signal had been given spells had been cast left and right. To be honest, it is a bit hard to keep up since all hell breaks loose. But still Ronnie did what he and his partners had strategized before the game began. Targeted one of the girls that stood beside the redhead girl.

Ronnie was sure that his Blindfold Spell would work on the other girl but alas when he fired away the spell, it missed her. The girl is sleek as an eel as she easily dodges the spell that Ronnie aimed at her. But just like any other Duelling, he had been played; sometimes on the get-go, the spells could work. But sometimes there's a bump in the road, and that's okay.

Not all great Duellist will always successfully hit their mark in the first place. In the middle of the chaos, Ronnie heard someone conjured the Wind jinx. His blue-grey eyes traveled up to the wand holder. It belongs to one of the older students that paired up with a dark-haired boy. When the tale-tell of a gust of wind came out from Phaendra's wand, Ronnie was ready for the impact.

But it never brushed him. Called it beginner luck or perhaps just pure luck, Ronnie let out a breath of air. Getting knocked down by a Ventus is never a fun moment. Then he saw a two-in-one action. The girl who Ronnie tried to blindfold earlier disarm Phaedra and her partner used the opportunity to body bind the short-haired girl.

If today's was not a display of arcane prowess, Ronnie might clap for the two with how good their teamwork is. But alas, Ronnie should still get his head in the game. Good thing the Castelobruxo Duellist did. In the last attempt to hit him, the dark-haired boy tried to cast the Slowing Charm on him. Thankfully Ronnie could evade his charging in the nick of time.

With a quick glance towards the older boy beside him, Milos, Ronnie averted his eyes back and forth between his partner and his four other opponents. "These Hogwartsians are not the one to mess with,"Ronnie jokes. His thick English-Portuguese accent shone through. His cousin never told him how good and how worthy of opponents the Hogwarts students are.

The Duellist let out a small chuckle at the little flirt Milosh sent out to Aurelia. When he thought he is a flirt himself, Milosh was something else. Ronnie nodded his head when Milosh provided his full name, the name he likes to go by as, and what school the older boy went to. "Nice to properly meet you, Milo,"Ronnie said ever polite to the older boy.

The Castelobruxo took a deep breath to calm his excitement from the rush of the game. This is why Ronnie fell in love with Duelling in the first place. Although it was not as dangerous as Broom Racing or Quidditch, the game itself has its own adrenaline rush that pumps his heart and keeps his feet on the ground.

"Keep up the good work, dodge the spells, and maybe also try landing them this time"The older boy advised. "That one is slippery, I gave her that,"Ronnie expressed while making a quick nod gesture towards where Aurelia stood. "But yes, we need to knock suas bundas fora their asses off"Ronnie added.

Taking a deep breath again, he steadied himself and was ready to fire the next spell. Hopefully, this time, his aim is true.

@Phaedra Stavrou
How Cade managed to come out of the first round unscathed was lost to him. But his initial concern with the sheer number of duelists was absolutely warranted. The young Ravenclaw never knew such chaos in all his time at Hogwarts. He didn't know where to look first! But Phaedra stole the show. Her spell split into four, and the majority of those beautiful whispy plumes were sent towards Aurelia. But the other struck Rose and Cade felt a pang of sympathy for the poor girl. No one would fancy being on the receiving end of Phaedra's magic. But before he could get entirely distracted, the Ravenclaw boy conjured his own spell. Quick work of a slowing charm that would have landed if not for the Castelobruxo student's quick sidestep. The spell had grazed by and Cade had chewed his cheek with disappointment. It was better than nothing, he supposed.

It was at that moment, that he heard a thud coming from his left where Phaedra once stood. Glancing over at her a foul twist in his stomach put him on alert. She'd been bound. By who Cade hadn't noticed, but he immediately felt uneasy as he caught her gaze. "Hang on, Phae." It was an uncomfortable position for both of them, though Cade was sure it was painful in Phaedra's case. But Cade was on his own against two other teams. At least for the time being. How this would chalk up, the young wizard wasn't certain. Leveling his wand, he would return his focus to the task at hand. And that would be the round ahead.

Nessie marveled as three spells targeted Cade. She deduced this was either a sign of his fearsomeness on the platform, or perhaps an indication of the other teams' relentless pursuit of the Ravenclaw duellists. Aurelia's slowing charm missed as Cade moved to pick up Phaedra's wand, but the Gryffindor team's seamless cooperation remained on full display as Rose's impressively cast wind jinx split into two, with gusts of wind heading for both Cade and Milosh.

Cade almost avoided the wind, escaping the worst of the gust but was still struck by the edge of the spell. On the other hand, a full gust of wind hit Milosh - although the Durmstrang student was also successful in his own spell cast, with his knockback jinx pushing Cade back. Nessie winced sympathetically; wasn't being hit by one spell at a time enough? Duelling was turning out to be less kind than she'd anticipated.

Still, even in Nessie's inexperience she could tell that Rose was having an excellent round, as not only had the wind jinx struck two targets, but Rose just barely managed to dodge Verona's slug-vomiting charm, as well.

Amidst all the attention on Rose and Cade, Nessie realized that Phaedra had taken the opportunity to break free from the body-bind. Nessie was quite relieved by this return to form, because she hadn't enjoyed seeing any of the duellists go down, even if it was only temporary.

Another round, another chaotic moment. Although it was winding down a bit, still, spells were cast left and right. Aurelia, Milo, and Rose seem to share the same thought indirectly as the trio decided and pointed their wand toward the dark-haired Ravenclaw known as Cade Darkbound. From beside him, Ronnie heard Milosh used the Knockback Jinx on the young lad.

Ronnie watches and internally crosses his finger hoping Milo's spell hits his intended target. And his aim is true. Ronnie wanted to high-five his Duelling partner fo the day but he still got an opponent or two to take down. As Rose busied herself with the Wind Jinx that she sling towards Cade's way, the Castelobruxo Duellist saw an opening.

With a precise incantation and wand movement, "Eat slug!"The South American pointed his wand towards the redhead. A little dramatic but if it makes his spell work, then so be it. But it seems just like the previous round, his mark was off, and did not hit his intended target. One might get frustrated if their spells were not working in a setting like this.

A setting where every movement and spell counts. One might blame their wand rather than their luck. But it seems Rose's Ventus did not only hit Cade but also hit Milosh, "You alright, amigo mate?"Ronnie inquired his Duelling partner after a quick glance. The downside of being a Duellist is always being prepared for the pain of other spells that will be inflicted on you.

On the bright side, nobody tried to sling a spell toward the young Ramírez this round. Does it always be that way or perhaps another team tried to get rid of him gradually and slowly? Only time will tell. One thing is for sure, Ronnie needs to attack first before the other opposing players set their gaze on the Portuguese boy.

The upturn of her lips in slight contempt at the boy's comment and wink. His accent indicated that he likely hailed from the school of Durmstrang and she already had one very hot Durmstrang boyfriend, not to mention another obnoxiously strong ilvermorny betrothed secret, good luck to this boy trying to squeeze his way into her league. "You'll have to patiently wait your turn," She rebutted. Aurelia wasn't one for such aggressive spells, but if Milosh wanted fire, she'd be more than content to deliver.

With Phaedra temporarily disabled, they set their sights on the younger Ravenclaw, and so did the Durmstrang boy. Combined forces, spells flew. With her slowing charm missing its target as the Raven-haired boy ducked down to pick up his teammate's fallen wand. However, the other two duellists managed to land theirs. "Impressive," she muttered an encouragement at her teammate's spell, the winds rose conjured landed, one for the younger Ravenclaw and another, splitting away and impacting the Durmstrang boy.

Eat slug. "Watch out..." She warned at the incoming spell towards Rose. Enough time for the girl to move out of the jinx's way. Over the spectators erupted a loud cheering, clearly the Hispanic boy had some fervent fans in the stands. Ronnie was his name, the more she knew.

... Brush it off, Ronnie! You'll hit her soon enough! Destroy those hogs! Aim for glory! burn those lions! I heard fried lions taste good in the morning! The redhead looks like she would go good with the fire! Burn those lions! Feeling the heat, yet cats! Ronnie and Milosh will show you whoes the beasts here! You, house cats! ...

"That blonde didn't just call us house cats, did he? Someone definitely wants to see you on fire..." she scoffed. Head back in the game. Phaedra had managed to come off lose from the body bind, her wand returned, her partner suffering the brunt of the damage for her freedom.
