"Of course I came!" She smiled at June, "Don't worry about not reaching out, I didn't either so," she shrugged halfheartedly, "I missed you too." She couldn't help but laugh at what June said next, "Yeah, I had my fingers crossed that you wouldn't already have it! Otherwise I would've had to get you something else." She stepped back as June turned to receive her gift from the new arrival.

It seemed that Adelaide was worried for nothing, since the party didn't turn out to be awkward at all. As the trio played the games that Monica had brought for an hour, the young girl had to admit she was having a lot of fun. She really couldn't understand why she had thought it would be anything but fun.

Well, it was going great. Until two people who definitely weren't invited decided to show up. "What?" Adelaide asked in confusion as the two unknown boys arrived, clearly to cause some mischief with a... crocodile slip and slide? And water guns? The blonde would move out of the way as one of the boys aimed his water gun at June. What in Merlin was going on right now?

Adelaide wasn't really the type to participate in... water fights, but she definitely didn't want to leave it to these two boys to get her soaked. She had to fight back, and as Monica had said, protect the birthday girl. As well as herself. She grabbed a spare water gun lying on the grass and aimed her first shot at the boy who shot June in the side.

Noticing two other people join the group, Adelaide called to them, "Hey! Were you actually invited?" She asked, "Or are you with these two nuisances?" She pointed her water gun at the two boys who had came in armed with the water guns, slip and slide and cauldron. One of them, the one with the ginger cat, she vaguely remembered from somewhere. The other she didn't know at all.

The party was going great. Sure, some people were running late, but that wasn't completely out of their character. Besides, June quite liked this smaller gathering of... of peers, learning this muggle "Dutch Blitz" game and laughing at everyone's competitive nature.

An orange cat walked up to June, rubbing against her legs. Hadn't she seen this cat before? At the little pride-decorating event earlier in the month? Very odd indeed.

Happy birthday.. Jean? June looked up to see two students that had not been invited. The first, who'd gotten her name wrong, she recognized from the other day when he fell on her feet. The other one was a Slytherin, but was unknown to June beyond that. Before June was able to fully take in what was happening, she felt her side become.. wet. She noticed the flying object headed towards her just in time to catch it. A water-spraying contraption of some sort. June held it in her hand for a moment. On the one side, this was not what she had planned for her party at all. On the other, it did seem like fun. A lot of fun. A vindictive smile spread across June's face as she pointed at the boy who had just shot her and unleashed several streams of water before running away.

June saw Avery and Monica (who definitely were invited) walk up to the party area on the grounds, and ran towards the two of them. Partly because she was excited to see them, and partly to use them as a field from the water attacks. "Don't worry!" June called over her shoulder to Adelaide. "These two are meant to be here!"

She darted around Avery and Maggie, flashing them a smile as she aimed her water-thing at the two party crashers. "Hey you two! Well, it wasn't a water-fight party until just now. So I hope you don't mind getting a little damp!"

More people meant more victims. Elsian found he could hardly complain, not when everyone seemed happy to pick up a weapon and join in the chaos!

He spared a mock glare in Adelaide's direction at the small slight against the 2 party crashers, aiming a blast of water at her in retribution but quickly found his aim would be ruined by someone smacking him in the face with a jet of chilly water. Whether or not he hit the girl he couldn’t say, he was too busy sputtering in surprise as he used a random kid as a shield. He was one of the new arrivals, and close enough to duck behind for a quick getaway towards the slip-n-slide; said temporary living shield was Avery Chen, although in that moment all Elsian cared about was using the boy as his shield before quickly darting away. Though, not before he was trying to hit the boy in the back with a spray of his own water gun with a laugh.

It was around the time he’d gotten to the slip-n-slide, aiming to try and get a shot in at Monica possibly Leonard and likely his own partner in crime in the process that the hidden joke they’d brought had decided to go off with a loud, sudden pop! Just as Elsian was rearing to get in a full-on dog fight with Monica, perhaps slipping into the slide for a quick, fun, get away to target someone else, the balloons Henry and himself had brought finally popped likely under a mix of the strain of being accidentally hit by a stray shot and the weight of the prank hidden inside.

Anyone who was near the balloons from where they’d drifted to barely hover off the ground during the sudden water fight would suddenly be showered in a spray of sparkling red powder and shiny confetti.

Elsian wheezed, cackling when he realized what had happened from his spot near Monica, briefly forgetting himself and his need to fire at the Slytherin girl. The balloons going off on their own was way better than what they’d planned! The sight of it was magnificent.

“Red is definitely your color!” He would call, snickering at any of the poor sops who'd been in range of the balloons.

Alas, such mirth could not last in the face of war. For the poor Gryffindor was hit with a blast of water the moment his guard was down. He yelped, slipping backwards into the slip-n-slide from where his foot slipped on the slippery plastic and went down hard, toppling headfirst into the slide and quickly sliding through the alligator slide. Though not before, in a single last-ditch effort to gain his footing, Elsian tried to grab onto the people closest to him. If they were foolish to be close enough within reaching distance as the boy fell, he'd grab onto them, dragging 2 closest fools down with him into the slide with a muffled screech. They would all be absolutely drenched. If they were fast enough to dodge however, they would only be privy to Elsians cackle and said Gryffindor aiming his gun at them as he rushed down the slide and multiple blasts of water being shot at them.

At least the two newcomers were actually meant to be here, so she didn't have to worry about them aiming at her. All she had to focus on was the two boys who for some reason had chosen to crash June's birthday party and turn it into a water fight. Seriously, did they have nothing better to do with their lives?

A shriek erupted from her throat as a spray of water grazed her side, the aim of whoever sent it slightly off (thankfully) so it didn't hit her fully. She whirled around to glare daggers at the boy who had sprayed her, utterly thankful that someone had sprayed him in the face just after he had sprayed her. But he was also using the poor newcomer as a human shield. Coward. The nuisance (Adelaide didn't know his name, so she had resorted to calling him a nuisance because that's what he is) had moved to the slip and slide and Adelaide aimed her water gun at him again, hoping to get another shot at him.

That was until a large pop resounded around the area and Adelaide was suddenly covered in sparkling red powder and confetti. She screamed, glaring literal daggers at the nuisance before aiming her water gun straight at him. She fired a shot and luckily it hit, sending the boy sliding backwards down the slip and slide. Unfortunately he had also dragged the other party crasher down with him, but Adelaide didn't really feel any sympathy towards the boy. Especially as he started to head towards her to spray her. She shrieked before firing multiple sprays at the boy, hoping that at least one of them would hit, before turning her water gun back at the nuisance and aiming multiple shots straight at his face. "You," she punctuated each word with a spray of water, not exactly caring if they hit their mark or not, "are. A. Nuisance!"

Adelaide looked quite deranged right now with her soaked clothes covered in powder and confetti and her hair that looked a lot like wet seaweed framing her face. Her chest was rising and falling rapidly, from anger and the exertion of running to avoid the endless spray of water and her face was as red as a tomato. "I'm going to flipendo you both into the great lake some day," she threatened the two boys, her tone venomous. It was an empty threat, since Adelaide wouldn't do anything that would get her into trouble, but they didn't know that, did they?

Elsian squealed, sputtering as a blast of water hit his head and sent soaking stands of black hair sticking to his face. “Henry!” He squawked, smacking the others water gun against the plastic of the water slide as they caught on one of the low white arches, “betrayal!” He cried out, “betrayed by my own partner!” Clumsily he gripped onto the hoop, slipping once, twice, as he grabbed Henry by the shirt and shoved the boy against the watery plastic. “I trusted you!” Wildly he shot the remaining ammo of the water gun at Henry, dropping it to instead splash water at the boy when it ran out, “you were the chosen one Henry!”

Huffing he paused briefly once they were both thoroughly soaked, shoving away watery bangs as his friend leaned closer to whisper. A truce then. Elsi nodded, picking up the gun again and offering it to be refilled. He’d let his friend go without a fight, this time, instead following the other teens lead and beginning to drag himself out.

Back into the fray.

Fingers gripped into the plastic, slipping as he got one leg out of this watery death trap. A blast of water hit his head. He yelped, throwing an arm up to protect his face when the shots kept coming, “hey!” A shot towards the girl did nothing. “I yield! I-!” Another blast to the face that had him sputtering and turning away. Okay, new plan.

The boy reached out wildly when she was within grabbing distance, shooting at her with the water gun as he snatched up her wrist and tugged as hard as he could. Dragging her right into the slip n slide and flopping with a watery smack by his feet. He tried to hop over her. Get the hell away.

It was not meant to be. Maybe it’d been Adelaide that’d grabbed his leg, or perhaps the water bombarding them from across the field was enough to have him tripping. No matter the cause it still ended with him falling. Smacking into the hoop he fell backwards in a heap of tangled limbs and possibly a few new bruises, at least on Elsians part. Both of their sudden weight combined, the plastic hoop didn’t stand a chance, and suddenly they were flying the rest of the way down the crappy slip n slide; the water cauldron which he tipped over into the slide when Elsian had fallen practically flooding the thing.

Elsi panicked. With a surprised bark of laughter he shot at his new enemy as they sailed by, a breathless giggle mixed with nerves escaping him as they smacked into the shallow pool marking the end of the slide. Water splashed over them, flowing over their legs and pooling over the edges into the grass. He scrambled away, hands splashing in the water and grabbing onto that final hoop connecting the slide and pool to drag himself away with a cackle as he shot at the girl once again as he fled. Ducking under it he began a mad crawl away from the girl who looked moments away from making good on her promise.

Something grabbed his ankle. He slipped, smacking into the ground as he twisted onto his back to look-

A harsh tug had him sliding backwards.

He screeched, digging his fingers into slippery plastic.
