It was both awe-inspiring and unsettling, how quickly the mood could change within the school of magic and wizardry.

Fate, as the young Captain had often expressed in his many sentiments, seemed to quite fancy the manifold scenes and snippets of drama and discourse lingering about every twist and turn in the halls, and took great pleasure in coaxing these happenings to fruition, her fingers dancing about the students and faculty alike and enchanting them with her beautifully chaotic ideas. Of course, none were the wiser to her folly – and neither should they be, as Rafael’s mom had often stated in the midst of her absent musings. The dangers of the future simply were not worth giving any mind, at least, not for the time being, and the young Captain had done his best to stick to this philosophy.

There were, of course, happenings that the Captain did heed, however, though very far and few in between – the most notable of which had been the recent happenings of one T.Ruth. It had escaped no man nor child the treacherous and prejudicial monologues the deceitful author had been spouting over the progression of the past year, and the Captain had taken no likeness to such preposterous ideas, the words instead leaving a bitter taste in his mouth and a caustic air to his gaze. The articles were, to some, regarded as unparalleled in their veracity, and to others, an omen, ill-worded deceptions which had accosted some and invalidated many others. In the eyes of the young man, however, they resounded simply as folly, utter uncouth stupidity based on carefully-chosen facts and biased assumptions, and furthermore, deserved a firm reprimanding from those who experienced such bias firsthand.

Therefore, the sight of the pamphlet had arrived to Rafael’s attention with a great deal of pleasure and zeal.

The Captain’s stomach, growling with the ferocity of the very lion upon his red badge, was abrupty silenced at the sudden and unexpected spectacle that belied him – the parchments, all uniform in their nature, seemed to coat ever surface in a unending expanse of paper snow, hanging off chairs, lying in the pudding bowl, motionless on countless breakfast plates. A most curious sight, for the daily mail was usually sparse, a letter here and there. His curiosity encouraging him into action, he progressed forward, snatching a paper and promptly ignoring the cry of distaste that followed his thievery. His eyes quickly scanned the page – and a grin spread upon his features. Alas, visible results? A laugh escaped his lips, the nature of which resounded with the rare noises of unrestrained joy and giddiness. This was good! “Very good,” he muttered to himself thoughtfully.

In the midst of his personal celebration, his eyes snagged upon the lovely visages of two good friends of his – Howard, who had spent a summer at his house, and Alan, perhaps his favorite dormmate. Howard would have surely received the news well – perhaps he’d go pay them a visit in the name of festivity. Walking up to the pair, he through an arm over Alan’s shoulder, resting his chin on his shoulder. “Alan!” he expressed excitedly. “Have you read the paper? The paper?” A happy laugh escaped his lips, followed by a delighted squeal, one of which many would have regarded as undignified. “Bloody mad, this guy!” A slap to the older’s chest, before he stepped back and resigned himself to the bench beside his dormmate. “Gryffindor’s finest, I’m sure.” He sighed happily “I think I’m going to frame this. Hey, pass the jelly will you?" He sent a victorious grin in the direction of his old house-mate – Howard was looking nice these days, he’d have to admit.

Taking one more glance at the parchment, he set it down, deciding to pour himself a cup of vitamin-rich orange juice. The day waited for no man, and he refused to be late to his appointments, deciding to take the silence of the moment to begin fixing for himself some semblance of a breakfast.

STATS & ABILITIES
Interception
Reducio
When a Quaffle is being passed, users with this ability automatically get a chance to Intercept the quaffle. This does not replace their normal action for the round. This put the quaffle in your and by extension you teams' possession.

Also, if the Quaffle is dropped for any reason, you would automatically (without it taking up an action) attempt another Quafflegrab. At present there would be no mid-round way to drop a quaffle due to the order of operations, however there will be certain effects in future patches that can cause this effect.
Catch
Reducio
Able to catch two falling players on your broom when playing Quidditch. These additional caught players would be brought to the ground safely and they would be allowed to retrieve their broom and enter play again the next round. This can be done every round as the player's action if they choose to do so.

With brooms that have the feature where an additional player may be caught (such as Bluebottle) where there is a stackable chance of failure with each additional person caught, there is no stacking failure chance for players with this ability.
Perfectionist
Reducio
You have a reduced critical failure chance range by 1. In addition, you can counter up to 1 point of additional critical failure chances caused by abilities or spells (not potions). In other words, if you have an extended critical failure chance range (as is the case with certain races, the effect of certain spells or potions), this reduces that range by 1. So if you have a +2 critical failure chance range (meaning if you roll a 1,2, or a 3 you critically fail), this ability makes it a +1 critical range instead (meaning if you roll a 1 or a 2 you critically fail).

T.Ruthless OPEN
Youssuf got up rather blearily and looked around. This early wakeup time was terrible. He dressed (rather quickly and shabbily) and made his way to the Great Hall. He quickly grabbed a plate of idlis (amazing that these elves knew Indian cuisine) and started eating.
Suddenly a flyer fluttered onto his bent head. He jerked up suddenly and glanced around frantically. Then he noticed the title of the article. 'T.Ruthless - an article on why believing T.Ruth is wrong'. He craned his neck, and noticed that everyone had an article - everyone in the Hall!
He read it through, nodding from time to time. Then he threw it down in disgust. Not directed at the article itself, but at the idea of T.Ruth. To think that in a renowned, great institution like Hogwarts, people were still so backward as to discriminate against someone!
Youssuf pushed his breakfast away, sick to his stomach. What had the half-breeds done to deserve such bad publicity? At that very moment he decided that he would do anything eh could to help the people discriminated against in any way he could.

But Youssuf just didn't understand. HOW COULD T.RUTH PUBLISH STUFF LIKE THIS?

Did this mean that the current Headmaster was allowing this nonsense? Baid crumpled the article up, his head spinning in anger and threw it somewhere in the middle of the Slytherin table. Because they were the ones loudly supporting T.RUTH the most. He didn't know any good
curses yet, dammit, or he would have really made them sorry.
