Personality:

Reducio
A rather lazy individual who cares very little for the opinions or judgments of fellow classmates or even teachers. He has a caring heart, especially for animals and magical creatures/beasts. He has an odd love and interest in learning the cultures and languages of other beings/beasts within the magical realm, and even the different tones used amongst human cultures. As such he's well versed in a few languages and plans to learn more. In school, his work matches just as much as his lazy personality. Chikao is a very smart and fast-thinker, but he overall doesn't care to do extremely well or extremely badly in classes. As such he does the bare minimum to complete his work, and is thus seen as lazy by himself and others; however, he doesn't care and claims that he is merely expressing his freedom.

History:
Reducio
Chikao Narumi was raised by his parents in a rather secluded area of Japan by a father from Africa and a mother native to the land. Both of magical blood, they had a home located between mountains and sea. Here they ran a hot spring for travelers of both muggle and wizard blood. They weren't necessarily the wealthiest family, but it was here that they all lived in a peaceful age, but there was more to this land that no muggle would be expected to notice at first. Magical beings, creatures, and beasts lived near and it was for that reason that Chikao's parents had lived in such a region. Creatures that required a place to be hidden or protected from being hunted secluded in this small region. It was their job to protect these creatures and learn from them.

Giants were one of the most notable creatures to be hunted by other wizards for reasons of secrecy or for things like childish games. In Japan, the existence of giants was noted on Honshu but was well known to be extinct. Giant bones were popular amongst wizards and witches, and it was for reasons such as this that Chikao's parents had taken the role of protecting the fascinating piece of land they lived in. They wanted Chikao to live a free life, but to also understand the importance of protecting even those who seem like they don't require it. When he was around the age of 8, his father took him on an expedition to Russia to meet the few giants that still existed. Chikao and his father lived in Russia for 3 years, to which Chikao learned about Giant culture, a bit of Russian culture, and got to bond deeply with his father. It was also the occurrence of his magical accident, in which one day he was tired and cold; he yelled at a giant for having broken the fire that kept him warm. In Chikao's rant, a new flame burst from his lips in similarity to a hot-headed dragon. From this, Chikao's father figured it was time for them to return home and have Chikao enroll in Mahoutokoro.

His first few months at Mahoutokoro was a bit odd due to his odd look in skin tone, and having interacted with magical creatures and beasts rather than people his age. Chikao at first excelled greatly in his status, achieving Dark-Blue robes rather quickly for a person his age. Many believed he would be the best of the best and would achieve a golden robe by 2nd year; however, Chikao began to have a realization. It took an immense amount of effort to keep his robes in such a good condition of dark-blue, and it was honestly something he didn't enjoy much. His grades began to drop, but he also began to enjoy life a lot more and more. Learning about people and cultures within the magic and non-magic world was something he loved more than anything. His parents gave him as much freedom as any boy would want, and from this freedom, Chikao understood that he didn't need to be the best. Eventually, his robes dropped to lavender color. For his choice in choosing lavender robes over dark-blue, many students and faculty at Mahoutokoro became upset with him. Many knew Chikao was capable of being the best, but he instead chose to be nothing more than what he wanted. As such, he began to enjoy life in ways where some would call him lazy. In the past, he would have agreed, but even back then he wouldn't care what others had thought.

Reducio
Chikao lived most of his life living with his parents surrounded by magical creatures, beings, and beasts. From this, he met beasts such as Merfolk, but most importantly his father took him to Russia to learn and meet Giants since they were extinct in Japan. The reason Chikao's father took him to meet Giants was in order for him to understand the reason why his parents worked so hard in protecting other creatures. Giants were pushed far into few tribes across the globe and thus were possibly bound for extinction just like in Japan. As well as this, Chikao's father wanted him to learn the culture of the Giants in case they ever did become extinct. From this, Chikao and his father resided in a Russian village to rest but would spend most of the day interacting with giants. From this, Chikao learned not only their customs but their language as well. On top of this, he was taught about the Russian language and a bit of their culture; to which he did not mind. It is from this experience that Chikao has developed a love for cultures and languages within both the muggle and wizarding world. His time with giants wasn't exactly a four-star experience, but it allowed him to understand the issues within the wizarding world. Giants were once strong beings who could bring fear into the hearts of many, or even be seen as divine protectors; however, it is speculation and fear that caused them to be hunted. Chikao understood empathy and learned the difficulties that many of the giants experienced. Every time he and his father traveled back and forth from the Russian village to the hidden giant tribe, it gave rise to knowing the differences between the two groups. How different and similar they both were. The language was probably the only thing that Chikao put the most effort into. He witnessed his father communicate with the Giants before, and desperately wanted to learn it just as much. The months of being beside the giants were difficult due to a lack of communication, and Chikao wanted to fix that. He studied hard and tried his very best in pronunciating the terms. It started out slowly and was very difficult especially since it was a language of a magical being. Over time though, Chikao began to develop much more simple sentences and complex ones as the three years came by. His father was impressed and was glad to see his son be so intrigued to learn another being's culture. (WC 414)

Sakura has always had a perfectionist side. As she says "It's the details that make the difference". She always knew how to measure her time so that she could take her time without being late. Her mother thinks it runs in the family. But Sakura is not sure: her brother is catastrophic. Maybe Kaito is an exception...
While most people who are perfectionists say they are not, or a little, Sakura says out loud that she is a perfectionist. Even though it is sometimes annoying to others, being a perfectionist allows you to reach a level of near perfection. "Level of near", because as everyone knows, perfect perfection does not exist. It is an idea, an impression, a goal. But not something achievable.
When it comes to dance, music or drawing, Sakura makes every effort to execute the gesture, note or color/effect to perfection. If she fails (which rarely happens), she starts from the beginning, until it is perfect. In class, it's the same. When writing and speaking, she drafts it in her head before she writes or says it. When it comes to practice such as magic, Sakura takes her time, concentrating to get the best result possible.
When we compare Sakura and her brother, we wonder if they are the same family. Sakura is calm, gentle and masterful in everything she does. Kaito, on the other hand, is much more brusque, he only thinks about martial arts and doesn't care much about his studies. Without the pressure of their parents, Kaito would be among the worst students of the school. They are only 3 years apart.
Also, most perfectionists don't have much imagination. To say that Sakura has no imagination is to insult her. In some people, the perfectionist side comes out only in moments. With Sakura, it is omnipresent. This has led to many arguments with her brother, because Kaito is quite careless.
One day Sakura had an origami contest with her cousin. Her cousin chose speed over patience and lost. Sakura made precise and meticulous gestures, which allowed her to have a better and more precise origami. Sakura has won several competitions against her cousins and friends thanks to her perfectionist side. As said above, there are many advantages to being a perfectionist. In the disadvantages, Sakura had a broken leg when she tried to do a trick she couldn't do. Perfectionist and always trying to be one level higher than the others. This is good, but not always.

First name: Sara
Family name: Kohana
School: Mahoutokoro
Year: 3rd Year
Status: Muggleborn

Appearance:
For a growing boy, he definitely looked older than his age. As someone with a history of being called ‘Oni’ (ogre or demon), his appearance often makes him stand out among crowds. He stands at a tall 168cm (5’6ft) with a rather bulky build. If his height hasn’t intimidated you yet, his face might do just that. If he was a manhwa character, he would be the side bully. With his short hair, strong jaw, piercing stare, and angry eyebrows. One would think twice before messing with him.

Personality:
He feeds stray cats in his spare time, babysits his neighbour's children for fun, and maintains almost bald hair just so his grandmother doesn’t need to spend extra money on hair care and shampoo. Under his rough exterior is a gentle soul who perhaps could convince pessimists that good people can still exist. Despite his appearance, he has always been a soft kid who simply wants to contribute goodness to the world whenever he can. It’s not fueled by a need to make others happy or to prove that he is the best. Sara simply believes that if he is to live a simple life, he would do so with peace, gentleness, and warmth.

However naive he can be, he is not ignorant of what others may think of him at first glance. Understanding that his aura isn’t the best when it comes to making friends, he learned by trial and turbulence that it is not his sole duty to surround himself with people who only look at surfaces. Unfortunately, this sort of thinking makes him often unapproachable and only solidifies his image of being his gruff grizzly bear. With the growing loneliness, he can be shy when talking to others. Often stumbling over his words with a low voice, he finds more comfort spending his time with cats. The cutest things in the world!
History:

Reducio
Born in Aoshima on the 10th day of the 10th month, he was quickly greeted with unhappiness. Not that his parents were emotionally unavailable, or he had siblings that constantly upstaged him, but because he was born to 2 florists who lived on the 2nd level of their cozy flower shop. They quickly found out that in a place filled with pollen and petals, Sara Kohana would never be able to live peacefully with his nose sneezing 24/7. How funny that he bore the family name Kohana ‘ little flower ‘, and he ended up allergic to any flowers, little or not.

At age 5, his parents were unable to balance their shop and their child. With a heavy heart, they allowed Sara to live with his grandmother. Who, fortunately, did not live far away, and hated flowers. A distaste that soon transferred to Sara. Screw flowers! Why did they need to exist?! To bring pain to his life, that’s what. He loved many things and was often patient or forgiving. Flowers didn’t deserve forgiveness. Flowers = Enemy.

Happily living in a comfortable home with his grandmother, he went to school just like any other kid. Until age 10, someone pranked him by setting a flower crown on his head. One that disintegrated to ashes, as well as the tips of his hair. Aoi didn’t research her crush well enough, it seems. Fortunately for her, she wouldn't have to live with the guilt anymore because no sooner than that, Sara had been accepted to Mohoutokoro.

Thinking Sara would do well if he learned more about his magical abilities, he started school at the Japanese Wizarding School. For 1 year, he struggled, tumbled, and oftentimes cried in the boys bathroom. Being introduced to a new magical world was not a simple task at all. Whatever he did, he managed to move on to his 1st year. He was still struggling, tumbling, and crying in the bathroom. But in his heart, this was where he was meant to be. Although the f- pot (flowers. It has been banned in his vocabulary since the fateful day) back home still switched between pink and lavender, his family encouraged him to continue to pursue his interest in the magical world.

By his 3rd year, he no longer cried in the bathroom. It was too stinky. His new crying location involves more fresh air. Every time he returned home, he would be greeted by a small party with his parents and grandmother. Thank god they didn’t expect Sara to be a top-tier student. Low hope, is best hope, it seems. He has now grown into a fine- bear aura-ish, young teen but apart from his appearance, nothing changed much about the boy. He was still the gentle, cat loving crybaby he always was.

When his parents show off Sara’s baby photos, a viewer's usual reaction is to ask if he was adopted. Well, sure he had a rather intimidating look about him, with his short hair, piercing stare, and clothing style. But underneath that rough exterior, anyone who knew him personally could see what a gentle softie he was. If it was not a blank intimidating stare he was wearing, it was an awkward grin. Rarely had anyone seen him truly angry. His parents had to explain 99% of the time why Sara as a younger child looked like he was planning world domination.

In Japanese, Kohana could be translated to Little Flower. Sara was given his name to suit such a flowery-themed name. In kanji, his name directly translates to Blossom Little Flower. It was a lovely idea! With two flower-obsessed parents, they had dreamed of Sara growing up as they did. With unconditional love for flowers. Perhaps even passionate enough to take over their flower shop. Unfortunately, that dream and expectation of theirs would never come true.

It was not as bad as a baby and toddler. He and his parents lived in a cosy modest room above their flower shop. Despite living right above a pollen-infested danger room, his parents had gone through dedicated methods to completely separate their house from their flower shop. In that house, the theme was minimalistic. Thinking they had seen enough flowers in the shop, the house was devoid of such monstrosities. This is why it came as a surprise to them when Sara, who had been confined to the safe quarters of their home, had a massive sneezing allergy to pollen.

The Great Discovery was found out when he was 8. While Sara had gone in and out of the flower shop to either go outside or play with cats, he never had to stay in there for long hours. Even before the Great Discovery, Sara had always felt an awful feeling towards flowers. He had to suffer a few sneezes and whatnot whenever he passed those dreaded plants, but after a few breaths of fresh air, he felt better. For the longest time, he thought it was just the cold weather, which was fitting for him as he would sneeze when he was too cold as well.

That all changed when his parents wanted to teach him how to run the flower shop. Every Saturday, he was to sit in the flower shop and observe the work, needing to do simple tasks as well. His parents were surprised that their mostly behaved and gentle boy could make such a face all day.

Despite being a mere child, his angry stare was something that even sent adults shivering. Chilling enough for several customers to visit the other flower shop down the road. What's worse is that he wouldn’t say anything. He only keeps a napkin by hand to sneeze into and his stare cold and hard whenever it lands on the colorful flowers. The uncomfortably he felt puts him in an awful mood, but he was not a complainer, and therefore kept quiet. Which may have intensified his foul mood, making his customer service skills go down the drain.

Knowing his parents were so proud of him, he kept silent about his growing hatred for being a florist for weeks, attending every Saturday florist work he had. However, that had to change when he was now expected to stay awhile every two days. His pent-up frustration started to seep into his daily life, making him easily irritable, constantly snappy and frowning.

Everywhere since then, all he could see was those blasted- eye itching- puke-inducing- assortments of dangerous petals. He thought it was the bright colors that he had a weird deep hatred for, so he started to feel angry whenever he even sees a few colourful tones. That tree with its luscious bright green leaves? Burn it. That calming blue sky above him? Burn it. That poodle with pink dyed hair? Don’t burn it, but please don’t dye the poodle anymore.

His teachers and friends noticed his change of demeanour first. The aura around him changed drastically. While he was still very polite, it was easy to sense the anger that laced in his tone. Suddenly, his peers were aware of his tall height, sharp stare and rough voice. All that added with his deafening silence and angry tone, Sara’s friend list on Facebook started getting short really fast.

After a week of losing friends, losing sleep, and losing his mind, he went to his parents and told them the truth about his experience with working as a florist. Truthfully, the idea of Sara being slightly allergic to flowers didn’t even come to his parent's mind until after their visit to the doctor. While they now understood the situation better, and Sara’s florist days were over, there was no cure to his hatred.

In fact, knowing about his allergy made him even more furious. Now not only did things with color make him wear an ugly scowl, but every single flower sent him fuming. Plastic, drawing, shape, you name it- he hates it. His parents had tried to help him with it, but it was no use. He wanted total domination of flowers. Environment be damned, he’d burned them, said he, menacingly to his parents who asked what he wanted for his birthday.

In fear that Sara would pick up on pyromaniac tendencies, his parents opted for a change of environment for Sara. He was sent to his grandmother's house to live in. Sara was still constantly in a foul mood and often scared people by how silent and menacing he is. But living with his grandmother, he learned that in a household, there can only be one cranky hag and it could not be him. His grandmother was eccentric at best, and devil-looking at worst. Healthy, upbeat, and with a history in the military, Sara had another thing that contributed to his foul mood.

2 years into their cohabitation, while the kid and the elderly had their rough demeanors clash multiple times, Sara had noticed that pink poodles could exist. His grandmother never praised his constant foul mood, but she had done a wonderful job at taking his focus away from flowers and bright colors. Slowly but surely, his dreams of being an arsonist faded and he found his old self again.

Although he had reconnected with his gentle side and was no longer in a constant bad mood, it didn’t change his natural face. Inherited from his grandmother, he had a resting look that could kill. Perhaps it was the years he spent making an angry face, but he could not do anything to ease people whenever he was near them. As if traces of his dark past were still on his face, people tended to stay away from the tall boy, eager not to anger him. Although he was in a happy mood, there was no way to undo his stone cold, mean looking face.’

With his presence, he makes people tremble. Their eyes watch him and their hearts beat faster than a normal rate. But it was when he turned 12 that people started to think that perhaps their heart was racing for a different reason.

Before, they couldn’t see his face properly. His hair was often unkempt and shaggy, as a poor attempt to cover his naturally angry eyebrows. But When his grandmother expressed that she wanted to save a little money for her ‘next hot date’, Sara went to the barber to give him a haircut, hoping to cut his hair enough so they no longer need to constantly buy shampoo for his previously long hair.

Unfortunately, the barber got a bit too much of his hair- pretty much leaving him with almost none left. Sara forgave him of course, as now they could save shampoo usage even more! Unexpected luck, how sweet. The grandmother didn’t share his happiness with his new look. “ It’s shiny!” Which was a compliment, Sara thought. Being shiny was quite a nice look, wasn’t it? He would find out later that he was not the only one who liked his new look.

Apart from being amazing caretakers to flowers, there was another reason why his parents' flower shop gained a lot of attention. They did not have a history of being a cranky child that was constantly thinking of world domination, unlike their only son. Therefore, no one had expected Sara to inherit their ability to attract onlookers. His past years, he still attracted onlookers, but for completely different reasons.

Which is why he didn’t feel any different than he did before. People were definitely still avoiding him if they could help it. They still jumped whenever his piercing stares met theirs and looked away the next second. The acceptance he learned to live with his intimidating aura had made him oblivious to the faint blushes his peers' cheeks had after looking away.

Yes, being near Sara felt like you were standing next to a person who could crush you and leave you to live your life as a crumpled ball. But if you sucked in the chilling aura and were brave enough to take a longer glance at his face, you could melt in a puddle right there. Several classmates had linked Sara to a Persian cat.

Angry looking, with their own special elegance that made it stand out. Look past his scary demeanor, and you would know he definitely took after his attractive parents.

3rd Year: Fearless

Reducio
It’s hard to be scared of others when you are considered scary yourself. Despite his record of stumbling over his words and relatively shy nature, he is not one to run away in the face of danger. Yes, he’s a cry baby. But he’s also a brave crybaby. Tears are hella manly. And only the bravest souls would be able to admit their feelings and let it out. He had suspected that his grandmother only told him that so he would cry more at school than at home. But regardless, in his head it had always been: cry more = more brave. Such an inspirational quote. So much that there is a badly drawn poster of it plastered above his bedside.

In addition to this, apart from his rather mischievous grandmother, he had grown up with the most loving parents anyone could ever ask for. They had made him the gentle and kind boy he is today. And with that they had taught him a few things in life that were important in his everyday life.

First, you do not judge anyone by their covers. Like him, there would be plenty of people with angry eyebrows that may like cats as much as he does. Second, mean people are only mean because they have been hurt. So try to understand it from their point of view. To understand one is to befriend one.

Third, be kind to animals. Some may want to eat your flesh, but if you invite them for tea, perhaps you will have a jolly time. It was no wonder his grandmother never wanted to live with them.

Regardless, it would be hard to scare the boy who attempted to understand everything. Even the scariest creature would not be able to scare him since they might enjoy a tea party if Sara invited them.

In addition to this, from the age of 7-12, he had thought he was a descendant of ogres. A crude joke from his grandmother that ended up making him read any picture book he could find on ogres and other related mythical creatures. By a very young age, he had already exposed himself to different picture books containing the magical creature. With an urge to understand his ‘heritage’, he would find the not-so-kid-friendly picture books in the library and promptly apologize to the librarian after he was done. Sure, he cried at some of those photos and drawings. But the more he exposed himself to them, the less he cried. Eventually being used to the most gruesome or grotesque images and their history.

Terrible Presence
Reducio

Although he was in a happy mood, there was no way to undo his stone cold, mean looking face..

Lovely Creature
Reducio
With his presence, he makes people tremble. Their eyes watch him and their hearts beat faster than a normal rate. But it was when he turned 12 that people started to think that perhaps their heart was racing for a different reason..

Fearless

Hanako's stats total 41, with two duel wins they should be 42. We usually use your PC's stats to confirm duel wins, but since your stats for your PC are off, please link your two duel wins somewhere in this app (can be below this note) so that I can approve the 47 total stats.

The rest looks fine. Please include the applications in your trunk code so when this does get fully approved we can copy it over.

Apologies for the inconvenience, thank you for informing me this. Here are the links to the duel wins:

And I also added the application in the trunk coding. Thank you!

Got a second opinion on your applications - your application for terrible presence seems to rely on your character's bad appearance. However, your application for lovely creature seems to overwrite this by saying he grew into a better appearance later, erasing what seemingly caused his terrible presence. Please add something that explains why he would still have a terrible presence despite his looks changing. If you need a back-and-forth exchange on this, feel free to owl me - Marcus
Update! Terrible Presence and Lovely Creature are now approved by Professor Marcus via owls. Just pasted them in the trunk as well. Thank you

Here is the application in plain text without HTML/coding. But I also included the HTML/coding part to show you what it looks like after you plug in the information, because I actually did that first, before I realized you might want the plain text instead. So now you have both!

Name: Hiro Bakugo
School: Mahoutokoro
Year: First
Status: Pureblood

Appearance: Hiro has brown eyes, light skin, pierced ears, a slender but toned body and naturally black hair that he tends to dye blond or various other colors once a week. He stands at 5'2" and has a very direct stare that shows his friendliness towards others but also harbors a hidden sadness.

Hiro is tall for his age but his entire family had always been tall, even as kids. If he hadn't been tall, he would have been looked down upon even more than he already was. Hiro's parents described him as having 'cat-like' looks. One of the notable things about his looks is the fact that he dyes his hair a different color every week. Sometimes when he gets lazy, he leaves it the way it is but eventually will change the color, as it's one of his favorite things to do. It also has the added benefit of driving his parents nuts, which is awesome.

Hiro has good fashion sense and takes advantage of it when allowed to wear something other than his school uniform. His favorite color is black, as the contrast between his blond hair (when it's blond) and black clothes really stand out. Hiro likes the color combo of black and gold/blond. He tends to go for fashion over comfort and as a result, sometimes ends up regretting it. As for hair, he has an obsession with it, loving to experiment with it. He's tried different hair lengths through wigs, hair extensions and glamour spells, when he can get access. Mostly, he lets his hair flow loose, but usually styles it differently depending on his clothes or mood at the time. Hair gel is a bloody great invention.

Personality: Hiro is a very friendly and energetic person, who is always smiling all the time. Nothing ever seems to get him down and he's known to be the one to go to whenever you're having a bad day. He'll listen and comfort you and then provide a positive outlook on things. As a result, people see him as an optimist. Hiro likes to engage in sports, physical activity and can be both competitive and non-competitive at the same time. He likes to please others and make them feel good about themselves, ignoring his own personal preferences. Quidditch is a favorite sport of his, as it's the most popular, and he likes practicing all the time. Hiro can also be quite nosy and a chatterbox, although doesn't tend to spread rumors despite his tendency to talk all the time. He likes being spontaneous and doing whatever comes to mind, which unfortunately applies to classes too. As a result, he's gotten into trouble countless times at school. But not for intentionally misbehaving or breaking the rules, it's just how his mind works. It is what it is.

Hiro seems as if he's too good to be true and honestly he is. All of the above is merely a facade, something that he's done to protect himself from the cruel, harsh reality of the world. What he's really like is an insecure, lonely and depressed soul, who simply longs for the love of his parents. And also hopes that one day he'll find someone who will love him for himself as well, be it romantic or platonic, or even both if he's lucky enough to find them. There are only 2 things that he finds comfort in at the moment and they are martial arts and animals. Physical activity seems to calm him down and be believes animals would never betray him once they get his trust. Hiro never lets this side of him out when others are present, or even if he thinks there's a possibility that someone is there.

History: Hiro's father, Akira and Hiro's mother, Mizuki were pureblood students who met at Mahoutokoro and fell in love during their fifth year. It was only after they fell in love that they were told they were to have an arranged marriage, for business purposes. Crushed, they contemplated eloping together but in the end came to the conclusion that their duties outweighed their love. However, they were shocked and surprised when it was revealed their partners were eachother! It was a match made in heaven and meant to be. Their families both held the same beliefs regarding half-bloods and muggles and as their kids had also been raised in this manner, it was a perfect union. Akira and Mizuki believed when they had a kid, their child would also follow in their footsteps. And since the arranged marriage had worked out so well for them, they decided to do the same with their kids and continue the tradition.

Years later, they made powerful connections with other witches and wizards and eventually Mizuki became pregnant. She immediately had Akira contact one of their connections that had remained strong throughout the years and they set up an arranged marriage with the son of that family and their soon to be born daughter. Everything was set up and the birth came, only for Akira and Mizuki to discover it was a boy instead of a girl. Crushed, from that moment on, they hated their son and wanted him gone. They'd named their son, Hiro out of spite, instead of thinking of him in the Japanese way, they referred to him in the English way. He would never be a 'hero' in their eyes. Ever since, they'd treated him as if he didn't exist, even hiring a caretaker to look after him so they wouldn't have to lay eyes on him from that point on.

Hiro grew up under the caretaker's watchful eyes and came to think of her as his guardian, but secretly he longed for the love of his parents. He only saw them briefly, as they tended to avoid him whenever he was around or nearby. But over time, he did manage to become skilled at sneaking into places to secretly watch them from a distance. After awhile, Hiro realized that his parents behavior wouldn't change and he came to a decision. He'd take matters into his own hands and protect his fragile and vulnerable heart from being broken further. And that was when the change in his personality happened, he became upbeat and happy all the time, a smile never leaving his lips. The smile never reached his eyes but was always present on his face from that moment on. Such behavior seemed to infuriate his parents more though, although he kept his true feelings hidden behind the smile mask he'd created. It was the only way he could remain sane.

It was around this period of lonely time that he turned to martial arts to get rid of the pent-up emotion and also started to get interested in Quidditch. The wizard sport was downright energizing and took his mind off his troubles. Of course, he couldn't participate at such a young age but he could at least watch it and see older children practice flying on their own. One day he'd have the time of his life flying around on a broomstick up in the air and enjoying the fresh air. But for now, all he wanted to do was be with someone he trusted and let them give him the warmth he desired. Hiro's parents couldn't fill this role and neither could the caretaker. However, animals could. Even though he couldn't carry on a conversation with them, since they never talked back, he liked talking to them as if he could understand them. And for a time, it soothed his heart. One day, directly before his 9th birthday, his parents said they were going to celebrate it this year. It surprised him but he didn't want to ask why they suddenly wanted to pay attention to him on that day, fearing they would reconsider. When the day came, he was overly excited and genuinely happy for once. But unfortunately, the caretaker informed him that his parents had been called away that day and wouldn't be attending the celebration. At first, it seemed as if this news didn't affect him. But Hiro got very quiet all of a sudden and suddenly the air exploded around him. This in turn wrecked the streamers and decorations that had been set up for his birthday. He'd turned around and simply headed outside and spent the rest of the day alone outside the mansion.

During this time, a wandering cat came by and randomly climbed onto his lap and rubbed its head against him, almost as if it was trying to comfort him. This was why he liked animals, because they always made him feel better. After all, they were the only ones he could truly trust and open himself up to. He continued to make connections with various animals and talked to them on a constant basis, using them as a substitute for his parents, whom he had given up on now. And shortly after his birthday, the mini cherry blossom tree appeared with his invitation to Mahoutokoro. His parents were incredibly happy for once and at first he thought they were proud of him but then realized they were just happy they could get rid of him. He was told to not come back over the holidays and stay there for as long as possible, unless the school forced him to go back home. Over time, Hiro's robes turned from Pastel Pink to Purple, not that he cared.

He is currently trying to get his robes to change to Dark Blue but hasn't succeeded yet.

First Instance of Magic: One day, directly before his 9th birthday, his parents said they were going to celebrate it this year. It surprised him but he didn't want to ask why they suddenly wanted to pay attention to him on that day, fearing they would reconsider. When the day came, he was overly excited and genuinely happy for once. Is your character a Broom Racer? NO

Is your character a Duelist? NO
Stats: Stamina: 6 | Evasion: 6 | Strength: 6 | Wisdom: 7 | ArcPower: 4 | Accuracy: 6

Abilities: Broken Broomshaft: Having been interested in Quidditch from an early age, Hiro was actually pretty talented at the sport. He tended to be able to do things right off the bat most of the time, although sometimes he ended up failing. However, even when he failed, he would usually be able to grasp it on his second attempt. As one of the team's Beaters, Hiro enjoyed flying around with his bat and going after the Bludgers. It was one of his favorite things, as it gave him a sense of satisfaction. Smacking the bludger into one of the brooms of his opponents was quite satisfying to do. Hiro wasn't normally a very aggressive type of person but when it came to Quidditch, he sometimes let loose his emotions. It was the only time he could ever do so, as when the game was over, he reverted back to his normal friendly self.

Despite looking as if he had a slender frame with no muscle, Hiro actually had a lot of muscle hidden beneath his clothes, it just looked as if he didn't. This sometimes worked to his advantage when it came to dealing with teams who weren't familiar with him, and resulted in a win for them. As for balance, he'd always had good balance, mostly due to his childhood, as he'd needed to obtain such a talent to effectively spy on his parents and not get caught in the process. During the time he'd practiced and trained to become a beater for the Quidditch team, he'd developed even more arm muscle. As a result, when he made contact with a bludger, it literally almost became a rocket hitting its target, should it actually hit the target. Whenever games were held, Hiro would try to hit the Bludgers as often as possible, even if he didn't need to do so to win the game.

Whether he was able to hit other players was a different matter. Hiro didn't want to hurt other players, he just wanted to take them out of the game.

It was almost like a game to him, to see how many people he could take out.

Most Quidditch fanatics knew all the famous players and were fans of them. Unlike them, Hiro was just in it for the sport and the exhilaration it gave him when he was playing the game. He might have heard of a few names but wasn't really a fan of teams in particular. It was more of a personal nature that he had become a player in the first place. Despite the way his parents treated him, what Hiro didn't know was that his mother actually approved of him playing Quidditch. She thought it was the only redeeming quality he had in him and if he somehow managed to become famous, he might be looked upon as 'not bad' by her in the future. On the other hand, Akira still couldn't bring himself to like him.

One day he'd have the time of his life flying around on a broomstick up in the air and enjoying the fresh air. But for now, all he wanted to do was be with someone he trusted and let them give him the warmth he desired. Hiro's parents couldn't fill this role and neither could the caretaker. However, animals could fill the role for him.

Even though he couldn't carry on a conversation, since they never talked back, he liked talking to them as if he could understand them. And for a time, it soothed his heart. One day, directly before his 9th birthday, his parents said they were going to hold it this year. It surprised him but he didn't want to ask why they suddenly wanted to pay attention to him on that day, fearing they would reconsider. When the day came, he was overly excited and genuinely happy for once. But unfortunately, the caretaker informed him that his parents had been called away that day and wouldn't be attending the celebration now. At first, it seemed as if this news didn't affect him. But Hiro got quiet all of a sudden and suddenly the air exploded around him.

A B I L I T I E S

Broken Broomshaft.

Reducio
A quidditch-based ability where the beater attacks the opponent with such force they potentially split the opponent's broomstick, making it useless for the duration of a match.

Prerequisite: None

Effect: On a full hit with a bludger, if the user is knocked off their broom there is a 25% chance that the broom is shattered as well. If the broom is shattered, the opponent will not be able to use the broom for the duration of the Quidditch match (they do not loose their broom permanently, they would repair it off-screen later). If they are caught by an ally, they would have no broom to return to and would have to ride with an ally or remain on the ground for the duration of the game. There are some two-player moves where a player can share a broom but this is still a devastating loss for a team.

Having been interested in Quidditch from an early age, Hiro was actually pretty talented at the sport.

Hiro has a very direct stare, which also shows his friendliness towards others. But if one really pays attention, they will realize there is something missing in that gaze of his.

Hiro is a very friendly and energetic person, who is always smiling all the time.

PENDING - March 18 - There are a couple things that need to be edited in this application.

1. Children on this site cannot get engaged (through arranged marriage or otherwise) until they are at least 14 years old. Please add that clarity in the story of your character's parents getting engaged.

2. We do not allow explicit child abuse - such as Akira beating up his son. Thus, your first magic will need to be revised and that whole incident will need to be removed from his history.

3. Your character would have been invited to Mahoutokoro right after showing his first sign of magic. They have a day school for students that show magic before 11. The latest he can show his first sign of magic is 10, because 11 is the latest you start at Mahoutokoro. You have your character listed as not getting invited until 12.

4. Please remove the spells/potions sections from your iNPC's trunk coding. iNPCs know the same spells/potions as your PC, so they should not have a separate list.
Okay! I made the changes! Hopefully, it's okay now! - Kim

---

Having been interested in Quidditch from an early age, Hiro was actually pretty talented at the sport.

On the other hand, Akira still couldn't bring himself to like him.[/reducio]

Calming Presence
Reducio
Hadashi has always been calm under pressure. This was something his parents were proud of, and led to his success as a duelist, and his stellar grades. No matter what the opposition; tests, stern teachers, more experienced duelists, multi-hundred page books, impossibly complicated Japanese city streets, Hadashi was (usually) completely calm and collected, which more often than not led to his success and victory.

Interestingly, he found out soon that his teammates were doing better with him around. this intruiged Hadashi greatly. So, he decided to interview his teammates about this odd phenomenon.

They said that they sinply feel at ease with him around. They couldn't really explain it, but his Presence was Calming. As if they had nothing to be intimidated by. Nothing could scare them, or intimidate them, or make them anything less than assured of victory. Which Hadashi found particularly curious, since victory was rarely a complete assurance. Was his calm demeanor contagious? He was not aware of such a thing...

Upon researching in his spare time, he found that some people indeed had such a calming aura that others were affected.
At which point he felt extremely foolish, because of course this was a thing. It happened all the time. So why was he acting like he had no idea? UGH he felt so silly.

He decided then to have a look himself at the next duel. He wanted to see this in action. Upon entering the Dueling Club in Mahoutokoro, he saw that his teammate was very nervous. Eyes flitting around, and thought he was shaking. He then took his place beside him, and noticed immediately that he stopped shaking. His eyes focused, and reflected that he too was now focused. Hadashi kept his eye on his teammate on occasion, but this was a duel. And, though he was calm, Hadashi did not like losing.

Throughout the duel, his teammate never once gave in to nervousness, nor did the opposing team's attempt to intimidate have any effect. Naturally, they won the duel. And easily at that. When Hadashi asked him about his sudden mood shift, he said that it happened as soon as he saw Hadashi there. It was like there was nothing to be afraid of anymore.
Hadashi was utterly delighted. If he had some ability to calm everyone around him, this would make duels and more much easier. Perhaps it would also help him help come classmates who are overly stressed. Would this be a good idea to use on nervous kouhais who are just coming to Mahoutokoro? The possibilities of this ability were multiplying faster than Hadashi could keep track of.

But then a thought hit. Would this still work if he himself was actually not calm or, gods forbid, afraid?
This.... would be much harder to test. Hadashi went back and forth on it. On one hand, he would have to actually be afraid, which was not easy to accomplish. But on the other hand, if there was an actual dangerous situation, and he was afraid, and it turns out that that nullifies it, they could be in serious trouble.

Hadashi eventually decided that this was a bridge better crossed if it came up. For now, he resolved to use this ability to help people.

Spell Spread
Reducio
Hadashi was a duelist. And he was a pretty damn good one at that. Rarely was Hadashi faced with defeat in the Dueling Club. His spell casting was compared to artistry, like poetry in motion.
And still, it was not good enough for Hadashi.
To be clear, it isn't that Hadashi was unsatisfied with his spell casting, or that he had a low opinion of himself. But he knew that there was always room to better oneself. So he continued to practice his spells, attempting to hone his prowess.

Yet, no matter how he practiced, what methods he used, all it did was make it even less likely for him to fail spell casts or miss his targets. That was not what Hadashi was looking for. He wanted something that would give him a real edge over his opposition, not just making it less likely to fail a spell. He hadn't failed a spell in ages anyway, so this was just adding a coat of polish to an already polished Toyota. Almost entirely pointless.

Hadashi looked and looked, studied and studied. But even with piles of books, he could not find anything to help his craving for improvement. To his dismay and annoyance.
When he asked his parents, they responded that he was honestly incredible as he was. there was little need to study this hard, just keep up his regular routine.
But when he worked up enough to write back about his disappointment, they seemed to give in. They gave him a book recommendation, and the very next day he went to the library, and took it out.

Upon studying the book, he learned of a technique that allowed him, when he wished, to cast a spell that hits multiple people.
Hadashi's eyes widened. This was exactly what he needed! A strategic option to further enhance his dueling assets! Already he was picturing how this would help him and his teammate. Afflicting status... well, status afflictions on both opponents at once? Damage both simultaneously? These thoughts filled him with anticipation.

But, like any skill worth learning, this did not come easy. He practiced this Spell Spread no Jutsu daily, as often as possible. So long as it didn't cut into his leisure time too heavily. He was adamant about maintaining proper time to unwind and relax, lest he become a stressed out wreck.
With time however, he came to get the hang of it, and began striking multiple targets at once. The first time this went off correctly, Hadashi was over the moon. FINALLY, he had done it. Though, he knew better than to stop practicing it. He would continue to hone this new technique until he had it fully mastered. But when he tried this out in a real duel... He could hardly wait to see the look on his opponents' faces. And his teammate's, for that matter. Both, he was sure, would be priceless.

Extracurricular: Duelist
Pending - Calming Presence. While I got a good chuckle out of the Dark Soul and Elden Ring mention, your character is a wizard born and it would require (a lot of) explanation for why your wizard child reared by wizards would have casual access to muggle media. The easiest means of repairing this discrepancy is removing the gaming references, humor aside to correlate with your character's blood status. Otherwise it is approved.
Approved Increase in stats by +1 to Accuracy (from 9 to 10) due to quidditch win. Please in the future link the *proof* being the link as well as what the change is clearly for not only papertrails but because it is unfair to make someone go searching for your stuff. Link to Quidditch Match

Mahoutokoro NPC  iNPC Registry
Name: Ayako Yamamura
School: Mahoutokoro
Year: 1
Status: Muggleborn

Appearance:

Image

Ayako has dark eyes and light brown hair, which is usually in a messy ponytail or bun, because she sees tending to her hair as a waste of time. She is almost always wearing either school robes or some form of sports uniform. She rarely ever smiles, preferring a serious expression because of her view that whimsy is a waste of time. She is of average height for her age, but her serious expression often makes her appear to be taller and more intimidating than she is.

Personality:

Ayako has little patience for goofing off, tomfoolery, or chicanery. She focuses on her studies and self-improvement above all else, wasting no time in any frivolous way whatsoever. If the most direct path to her destination is through a massive crowd, she will walk unapologetically through the crowd, bumping shoulders with anyone in her way, yet not slowing.

She is not very social. She sees most social interactions as a waste of time she could spend elsewhere studying or otherwise improving herself. When she must speak with someone, she speaks frankly, wasting no words. Despite this, her words are very formal, and she is respectful to the letter.

History:

It was very rare to find Ayako Yamamura without a smile on her face. She was a very happy little girl, laughing and playing more loudly than most. She loved her parents, and, as far as she knew, the feeling was mutual. Thought she didn’t see her parents much because they were both gone from the early morning until late at night, she knew how hard they worked, and she appreciated them for it.

This all changed when, unaware of the severity of what was happening, a seven-year-old Ayako woke in the middle of the night and stumbled upon her father, Issei, drunk and sleeping peacefully in the floor of the hallway just outside her parents’ bedroom. Thinking he was ill, she covered her father with a spare blanket from the nearby closet and spent the rest of the night rubbing his back as he ‘slept.’

When her mother, Hide, discovered the scene in the morning, she was furious, but she kept a calm face for her daughter, instead suggesting that the girl return to her bed and sleep properly. All Ayako knew was that she was allowed the day off from school, but behind the scenes, her mother and father argued more heatedly than they ever had, though they tried to keep this from Ayako.
As the days and weeks turned into months and years, however, Ayako began to realize just how different things were between her parents. She didn’t often see them at the same time anyway because they both worked long hours, but when she did, they not longer kissed or shared any sign of affection at all. Something was definitely up.

Then the arguments became more common. Words were more heated, though the arguments were never physical. Despite the relative lack of harm of these fights, they had a profound effect on Ayako. She hated hearing her parents argue late at night, when they thought she was asleep. One night in particular, when she was nine years old, Ayako had had enough.

Storming into her parents’ bedroom during a particularly loud – unbeknownst to them – argument, and seeing the alcohol in her father’s hands, she demanded that he step away from her mother. Without any form of physical contact whatsoever, Issei was thrown from Hide, slamming into the wall of the small room. As the man landed on the futon and rose with a grunt, he pointed at Ayako, calling her a ‘demon child’ and leaving in fear. The incident was never again discussed between her and her mother.

Ayako didn’t see her father again, but after much coaxing, she learned from her mother that her father was a horrible drunk, refusing to support his family and refusing to even come home at a reasonable hour, let alone sober. Hide, wanting to protect her daughter’s opinion of her father, had covered this up by working two jobs to support them. This revelation only made Ayako appreciate and love her mother even more. She made a vow in that moment that, no matter what or how, she would work hard and help her mother to escape this horrible situation.

Her wish was granted, soon after. A strange man in outdated, traditional clothing arrived on their doorstep, giving her mother a small potted tree and speaking with her in private. While they spoke, Ayako tended to the chores around the house, having taken more responsibility upon herself to lessen the burden on her mother. As she finished with the laundry and made her way back inside, however, Ayako was surprised to see her mother sitting silently alone, with a complex expression on her face.

Apparently, Ayako was to study to become a ‘mahoutsukai’, a ‘wizard.’ Her mother had agreed to allow her to study in a school specifically for those who could perform such magic, but only if she wanted to. She fervently agreed, seeing this as her opportunity to achieve greatness and free her mother from the burden of supporting them both.

Something changed in Ayako from that moment. No longer did she play, or waste time. She focused all of her efforts on her studies, eager to improve herself until she could one day fully support her mother, the woman who’d done so much for her.

Ayako never wasted a single moment. If she was eating a meal, she also had a book open at the same time. If she was granted free time outside of class, she was studying or improving herself through sports or meditation. If she was sleeping, it was never for more than six hours. Anything more was superfluous for the girl who wanted nothing more than to reach her peak potential.
Upon finally reaching her first year officially, and receiving her wand and set of school robes, Ayako was involved in many sports and extracurriculars, and she was excelling at her studies. She played quidditch, she practiced aikido and archery, and she even studied foreign languages beyond those required for her classes. As for magic itself, while she was muggleborn, she proved to be thirsty for any knowledge she could gain, studying as far ahead as she could without making class time a waste of her time.

By the end of her first year, Ayako was proud to admit that she wore a set of purple school robes, and she was confident that soon they would be dark blue. Between her academic performance, and her self-improvement from her various sports, she was getting closer and closer to her goal of freeing her mother from the burden of working herself into an early grave. But still…
It was very rare to find Ayako Yamamura with a smile on her face.

Is your character a Duelist? No.
Stats:
STA 8 | EVA 10 | STR 6 | WIS 5 | ARC 1 | ACC 10
Abilities: Interception

When Ayako became an official live-in student at Mahoutokoro, she buried herself in her studies. She studied months ahead in every class, practiced her wand work and broom work religiously, and made every waking moment productive in some manner.

Unfortunately, she could only study so far ahead of her class before class time itself would become a waste of time for her, and she despised wasted time, so she had to find other ways to occupy her time. She dedicated this time instead to Quidditch, Aikido, Archery, and various other sports and activities. In other words, if it was an activity offered at Mahoutokoro, and it could help her to improve herself, Ayako accepted the challenge eagerly.

Archery allowed Ayako to hone her mind, learning to calm herself and ignore even the worst distractions. This proved invaluable, allowing her to focus and recognize threats and opportunities before they could possibly reach her.

Aikido allowed Ayako to hone her body, training her to respond to the events she noticed in her focused state. If a small object was coming for her, she might not always be able to catch it, but she could at least avoid it. If an opponent charged her, she might not always be able to counter it, but she could sidestep it, trapping them into a self-inflicted fall of their own creation.

Quidditch allowed her to put these skills together, sharpening her reflexes to a point she’d never reached before. She used her strong mind to focus on everything around her. If the bludger was heading for her, she could hear it surging through the air before it hit her. If other players were approaching her, she was aware of them before they could force a collision. Most importantly, however, she could focus on the quaffle, regardless of distance, and make a snap decision without any wasted time.

This was the same efficiency she used in her daily life, but she also applied it to quidditch. As she didn’t like to waste time in her studies, neither did she waste it in her Quidditch playing. If she wasn’t actively pursuing some goal in the game, then she was a burden, bringing dishonor to her entire team and school. If the quaffle was free, she was chasing it. If the quaffle was not free, she was still making some attempt to retrieve it.
Ayako’s application of her philosophy to never hesitate or be inefficient made her a very effective Chaser, and she would hone her skills every day either in the quidditch pitch, or in other self-made challenges. It wasn’t uncommon to find her running drills with her friend Hiro, taking turns tossing small rocks at each other on broomback, dodging and catching them with the goal of hitting each other with the rocks.

All in all, these sports and exercises helped Ayako to develop better reflexes than most, especially when on a broom.

Name: Chiaki (previously Riku) Hiroi (transgender from male to female)
School: Mahoutokoro
Year: First
Status: Muggle-born
Appearance: Chiaki identifies as female, but still presents quite masculine. She is on the shorter side of her age. She has longish hair that changes colour (dyed), but it typically stays black. Her skin is quite pale. They usually wear round glasses or contact lenses, which cover their dark brown eyes. She is also quite fashionable, following fashion trends as closely as possible. Banner is below.

Personality: Due to her tougher upbringing, she always has used positivity and optimism to mask any sadness and disappointment she feels. She is energetic and gives off major younger sibling vibes to most people. Her giddy optimism and high energy can make her come across as annoying to those who cannot deal with her, but she is a bit of a people-pleaser and tries to keep everyone happy. Whenever people are fighting, she isolates herself from the situation because it makes her anxious.
History (at least 200 words): Chiaki Hiroi was born a male (but now identifies as a female) in the south of Japan in Hiroshima on June 29th 2010. Neither of her parents earned a particularly large amount of money, but enough for them to live comfortably. However, as the marriage was arranged in advance, her parents’ relationship was strained. They both loved her individually, but they did not share that same love for each other. Most of her childhood was spent at her grandparents’ house as her parents argued over anything and everything. As a result of this, from a young age, she used positivity in her personality to mask the pain at home. When her grandparents died tragically when she was 5, she was stuck at home with all the arguing. She first demonstrated magic when she was also 5, during her parents’ argument, when a vase smashed as she tried to block out the fighting. Her parents were confused, but ignored the small acts of magic that occurred over the next 6 years. She would hide in her room and test the small acts of magic every time her parents fought to pretend the fighting wasn’t happening. When she came of age to attend the school on her birthday, she received her place at Mahoutokoro, and although her parents were sceptical, she begged them to let her (so she could escape the arguing), and they caved. She has identified as female since the age of 10, which her parents are supportive of. (Word Count: 249)
Is your character a Broom Racer?: Yes.
Is you character a Quidditch player?: No.
Is your character a duelist?: No.
Stats (must add to 35): Sta-9 Eva-6 Str-4 Wis-6 Arc-7 Acc-8
Abilities (at least 400 words): Calming presence
With such a turbulent home life, Chiaki always longed for a sense of calm in her life, away from the shouts and yells of her seemingly always infuriated parents. Upon arriving at Mahoutokoro, she took it upon herself to never make anyone feel the way she did at home. Ever since she stepped foot in the school, knowing that she wouldn't be hearing her parents shouting and yelling, she felt instantly at ease.
When Chiaki started to make friends at Mahoutokoro, she portrayed a happy and bubbly, yet somewhat soothing or calming exterior so her brain would not stray to her parents' fighting. Each of Chiaki's friends reported that they instantly felt calmer when they were around her. Any anger or built up pressure beneath the surface of them was relieved when they would even be simply near her. This attracted many new friends to her. As she quickly befriended two Quidditch players and followed them around like a puppy to their practices, she would be reported to put the team at ease, epecially before a big match.
However, playing Quidditch was never much of Chiaki's interest. There was too much chaos, too many things happening at once. Broom racing was much more her style. There was only one clear objective, and that was to win. Even if that required a little bending of the rules. But before a race, they would never be so nervous as all the fliers that came before her would warn her about. Many would always around her before a race, trying to absorb some of the calm energy she released unknowingly. As soon as she would fly ahead, however, the calm they felt instantly begin to disappear.
However, it was only truly noticeable when Mahoutokoro was the host of a spectularly large fight between several students. Chiaki wasn't aware of the violence occuring in the grounds, so she observed through a window what all the fuss and bother was about. Instead, she was horrified by the brutal punches and kicks that were being thrown. However, as soon as she appeared in person, the fighting died down. Rage could still be seen in the fighters' eyes, but they were no longer fighting. And Chiaki had managed to stop it.
Everybody knew then that Chiaki's presence was... special. Something about the chaos and turbulence from her past meant that she was able to bring the sense of calm that was much needed by many students, and even some of the teachers on occasion. (Word Count: 417)
