By the end of her monologue, Carolyn started to worry whether Henry wasn’t bored with all the talk. Thankfully, it seemed that he was quite intrigued by the invention and agreed to visit and experience it firsthand. The young witch just hoped her situation at home would be resolved by then. “Sure, let’s do that then,” she said with a smile. "My twin actually used computers when she went to the muggle school but she never answered any of my questions so I never go learn more about it." Carolyn curiously raised her eyebrow at that piece of information. Before, it seemed that Henry’s dad was exactly the kind of person who would not allow that to happen. She would guess he would rather have his children home schooled than send them to muggle school but apparently, she was wrong about that. Well, I don’t really know them. I shouldn’t assume anything. “Is your twin non-magical?” She asked carefully not sure whether she was allowed to. Carolyn didn’t see anyone similar to Henry around Hogwarts but then she could hardly proclaim that she knew all students here. Not to mention that being twins did not automatically mean they looked the same.
After that, Henry explained how he knew Nightwish. It was actually quite simple and logical explanation. “Oh, you live in Liverpool? Then that makes sense then,” Carolyn nodded with a smile, listening to the long list of songs that her friend could play. It was impressive. “I do like Sleeping sun. That one might work. Is there something else that comes to mind? I mean completely different from Nightwish? I’m also open to suggestions. It might be better for me to have some options and see what works and what doesn’t.” She explained eventually. Making your own choreography was not easy and she had very little experience with it so the music would have to be her inspiration here.

When Carolyn agreed on meeting over the summer to show Henry the internet and a computer, Henry smiled as he spoke and figured that any problems he had now show be fine by the summer but how wrong that would be in just a few short months. Henry fiddled a bit with his violin in his hand before hearing Carolyn speak again but this time asking about his twin which made him stop and look up, he didn't know how to respond to her but after after a few minutes Henry spoke " my twin; Annabeth is a squib. She used to go to the muggle secondary school by our home but stop, I don't really know why. All I know is that their were some incidents but that's all, she won't tell me anything else and my brother also doesn't seem to know why either," Henry thought about those words and found them odd again but before he could dwell on them any longer Carolyn spoke again.
" I move to Liverpool two years ago when I was 10, before that I lived in godric hollow," Henry spoke responding to Carolyn before speaking again " if you don't mind me asking but what about you? Where do you live, Carolyn?" Henry however heard her speak again and this time say that sleeping sun was good before asking Henry a question in which he replied " sleeping sun is a good song, we can do that if you like. I don really have to many ideas but what about either uh castle on a hill? It's by a muggle artist, Ed Sheeran I think or there's another but it's just sheet music. It's something that I been writing to trying my hand to write, but it's up to you mate
Whatever song you'll like to do Carolyn."

Henry was kind enough to answer Carolyn’s question about his twin. The witch didn’t even realise it might be such difficult topic for him before she asked. I should have though, she reprimanded herself. After all, her own family was kind of a mess now at this time. “I see… I’m sorry for asking. I know someone from a pure blood family that has a Squib sibling as well. It seems…rough,” she said sheepishly. Carolyn really didn’t like that word. It seemed insulting, pretty much like calling someone mudblood but it was hard to go around it. Or maybe it was just because she was not used to it. “I’m from Chester actually,” she opted to talk about her family instead. It seemed less complicated then Henry’s. Well…as long as she didn’t mention her mother’s family of course. “I have lived there my whole life but my mother is from pure blood family so originally, she lived in Godric hollow too. Then she got together with my Korean father, who is a muggle and moved to Chester, where he works. It’s quite charming little town if you come to visit but living there can be a bit boring.” She didn’t mind too much but because her parents were scarcely home and she didn’t have any good friends, it could indeed feel somewhat lonely and boring at times.
Slowly the conversation turned back to music and Carolyn was pleasantly surprised by Henry’s knowledge of muggle music. Not to mention most boys didn’t care about artists like Ed Sheeran despite the fact that he was incredibly talented. “Ah…that sounds good actually. I think it might work even better than Sleeping sun. His music is more gentle and will be easier to work with,” she paused. “Of course if you have something yours that you would like to show off during the competition then you can play it for me and we'll see if it works. It is a showcase of both of our talents after all." Carolyn smiled at her friend. She was sure they could make it work somehow. Either way she had a lot to do if she wanted to come up with her own choreography and practice to do it well. Thankfully, she wasn't someone to shy away from hard work. On the contrary, she welcomed it with open arms. Especially during this difficult times.

Hearing her comments on his sister being a squib felt weird to Henry, he never minded the fact or even talking about it but when people felt sorry for him because of it now that felt weird. For a boy who never cared about blood status or magical ability it just felt out of place when people felt bad for him for the fact so he spoke " don't be sorry, it's a bummer that she can't come to Hogwarts with me but no one in my family minds it. It is uh rough sometimes with other pureblood families who see it as a shame or some bloody thing like that," Henry still felt weird talking about it so he smiled as he listened to Carolyn talk about where she lived and her life.
When Carolyn finished speaking Henry then spoke up " Chester? I always wanted to go, more reason to visit you over the summer holiday now I guess," Henry laughed a bit before continuing " your family sounds nice and your mother lived in godric hollow? That's cool, godric hollow is a pretty small village of a magical and non-magical community. Everyone knew everyone, it sometimes was amazing and sometimes wasn't that good," Henry then listened to her talk about the song again and sort of didn't know how it answer when she finished, after a while Henry finally spoke " Alright so then were doing castle on the hill? I can play for you the song that I'm writing if you want but fair warning it's not that good."

“You are at least somewhat lucky then.” Carolyn commented when Henry mentioned his family didn’t make a big deal about his sister. She knew Charles couldn’t say the same and he was truly angry about it. Especially since he had no power to do anything about it himself. The young witch couldn’t even imagine being in the same situation.
Thankfully, the conversation about her hometown brightened the mood a little and Carolyn was glad to hear Henry knew and wanted to visit Chester. “My family is a bit odd actually but not necessarily in a bad way.” It was really hard to explain the relationship between her mother and her paternal grandparents. Still, at the end of the day, there were no hard feelings and everything worked out... albeit in a weird way. All would be great if her maternal grandparents never showed up. “Yes, she did. She lived there with her parents and two older siblings until she finished her studies. Unfortunately she doesn’t seem to have many good memories of her old home” She shrugged not wanting to go into too many details. It was not necessary and she was not ready to share. Not yet anyway. Perhaps later when they knew each other better. “Now, I would very much like to hear that song of yours,” she smiled at the boy. “If I think I can work with it, I will gladly try. If not, we can just stick with the Castle on the hill but I want to at least hear it if you don’t mind.”

Henry smiled shyly at Carolyn, " I don't think I'm lucky, everyone has light and darkness within their lives it only matters how they look and use it," Henry fiddled with his violin a bit as he thought of his father's family and how his father was lying to him and his siblings on these years but was taken out of these thoughts with Carolyn's voice. " Sometimes odd can be a good thing, being odd or different can have its benefits but also it's burdens I guess," Henry replied to Carolyn as he thought back to his father's family and how maybe Arthur was right and he shouldn't dwell on them or isolate himself, maybe he should talk to someone about these problems or let his emotions show once in a while.
Hearing Carolyn speak again somehow snapped him out of his thoughts and he couldn't help but understand her words like they have been his own or something. Henry thought about what to say before finally speaking " I'm sorry to hear about your mother's memories and life there, but I had my fair share of both good and bad memories there. Still home is home," Henry loved godric hollow and will always consider it his home but he can't deny the fact that there are bad memories there to, like that was the place where his mum died and he became a werewolf.
Henry heard Carolyn speak about his song as he laughed a bit before saying " fine I'll play it just don't judge the singing to harshly cause I don't really write lyrics or sing in public," Henry held the violin at the ready underneath his chin and string ready to start but before Henry added " you should know the meaning behind it before I start, I wrote it for my uh brother. Older brother."

“I suppose that’s true, let’s hope we can always look at things from the right perspective then,” Carolyn agreed with the boy. He was right, there was always a bad and a good side of things and lately she was finding herself slipping into the bad one. I should really do something about that. It’s not like me at all. She reprimanded herself. Hopefully things wouldn’t get even worse for her in the future. “I would like to think she had some good memories there too but I don’t think that’s the case. She told me once that home is where the heart is and hers was never in Godric hollow apparently. Still, she found herself a new one eventually so all is well I suppose.” The witch smiled at Henry. It seemed they somewhat understood each other even without sharing all the details. It was nice to talk about it with someone, no matter how vaguely.
Eventually, the sad topic was abandoned in favor of music. Carolyn appreciated the shift in the mood although it looked like Henry still had some heavy memories about the song he was about to play. “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t know the difference. I like to listen to music but I’m no expert. Either I like the melody or not, it’s simple like that,” she reassured the boy. She had no right to judge his skills since she lacked the knowledge needed to do that. “Thank you for sharing the story with me though. I really do appreciate that.” It obviously wasn’t easy for Henry to talk about his brother. Carolyn didn’t know why and she decided not to pry but she was honored he decided to share the piece of information with her. It would also no doubt going to help her understand the song better.

Henry smiled at her when she replied and was glad she thought that way before he placed the instrument under his chin and threw back the string as he slowly begin to strung. At first a gloomy and emotional sound spiraled from the violin and as time went on it went faster and faster as the best change and meaning blossomed, the song was releasing sounds of joy and memories almost now. Henry closed his eyes as he played letting the music consume him before playing a long note and placing the string on the ground, that when he used his fingers to pluck the strings as he moved the violin down to his forearm and still pluck at them with grace and class as the tempo and sound changed.
Eventually he begun to hum along to the song as he plucked, each sting, each note resting in the air for a second before being replaced by another and another and then Henry played the final note letting it linger for a few minutes before opening his eyes and picking up the string from the ground, he then looked at Carolyn as he spoke " so?"
Henry then smiled at her a bit before speaking again " I warned you that it wasn't that good, so castle on the hill than?

When Henry started to play, Carolyn simply listened trying to catch the melody. It was clear how personal the song was for him and she was glad he decided to share it. At first, the notes were very emotional and the witch started to feel a bit weird just staring at the boy so she decided to try a couple of moves as she was listening. No jumps just slow flowing movements and occasional turns as she didn’t want to disturb her friend. People often didn’t realize that pointe shoes could be quite loud at times due to the fact that the tip of the shoe was a rigid box made of densely packed layers of fabric, cardboard and paper hardened by glue. Of course it had the sound absorbing panel, which made it better but landing from high jumps still produced a little bit of noise.
Soon enough the melody turned into something much happier and she could feel the fondness in it. That part would be perfect for some jumps but Carolyn’s feet were getting tired at that point and so she opted to just listen and stretch her toes a little bit until Henry finished the piece. “That was really lovely,” she smiled at the boy. It was a sincere praise. “I can’t imagine how difficult it is to compose a song. I wouldn’t mind using it. It has a nice variety to it but castle on the hill would be okay too if you are not ready to share yours with the crowd. I’ll let you think about it if you need time. I think I can experiment with both.” She truly liked both tunes but it felt like Henry should be the one to decide in this case. “I think I might stretch a bit and rest before my next class. My feet are starting to protest against any more exercise,” she said apologetically. “I hope we can do this again sometime though. If you ever want to find me, library or courtyard is probably your best bet.”OOC: I’m so sorry. I was in a bit of a slump lately and I didn’t come to HiO at all. When Henry finished, he kept his eyes close for a moment before lowering the instrument down by his side and looking over at Carolyn, hoping that she enjoyed it.
When he heard her voice and words, a smiled formed on his mouth which was the only visible emotion seen on his face as the boy nodded for a moment before taking another moment to think over which song they should use. Henry liked tj4 idea of doing his own song but also felt like it wasn't that good and he would only be setting them up for failure if they choose his so he spoke" thanks," the boy smiled at the girl before continuing" but I think we should go with Castle on the hill, only because it's been played before and the song I wrote still has some improvement."
When Henry heard her speak again, the bot nodded a bit as he moved toward his case and placed the instrument back inside before putting his messager type bag on his shoulder and holding the case in his hand as he spoke" I should get going to, I have a essay to write for history of magic but we should definitely do this again. I had a lot of fun and if you ever want to hang then you can normally find me in the library."
Henry gave the girl a smile and small wave before exiting the rehearsal room and heading toward the slytherin common room.
