I'm just here to take Cedar out, because I don't fully intend to be active at all, so you'd probably do better without me.

Cedar reacted with shock upon hearing that Henry was also a werewolf. It's one thing to accidentally insult my sister, but a virtual stranger...uh oh. He winced slightly, and his expression was a bit pained, if anyone looked close enough. He shot a glance at Miranda, but she didn't seem surprised at all. Well, she would probably know who the other werewolves in the school were, but hadn't bothered to share that with him.

"That's...something to think about," he replied weakly, seriously unsure what would count as an insult anymore. "Yes, I will think on that. But, uh, I don't really hate werewolves, you know, in case you thought that, I just don't like the ones that allow themselves to roam free or act irresponsibly when they, er, shift." He winced again, aware that it was highly probably he was just making matters worse.

Cedar shifted uncomfortably, then looked over at the compartment doors, checking his watch at the same time. "You know what, maybe I'll go get changed right now. Yes, that sounds like a good idea." He got up quickly and hurried over to the door, slipping out without a glance back. No doubt Miranda wouldn't be happy later on, but really, he was allowed to leave if he felt like it, especially since one of the only things he truly disliked, other than werewolves and rules, was an uncomfortable or awkward conversation.

Cedar had left the chain, and chances are he won't return. Sorry for the abrupt exit.

Henry watched as Cedar tries for a awkward apology then made to leave, Henry however felt bad for him and thought he shouldn't be the one to leave plus it was his first year at Hogwarts and from experience Henry thought it was better to be in a compartment with at least someone else that you'll know, remembering from last year when he was in a compartment with Cricket and Eyre. Henry got up from his seat and went over to the door as he spoke " don't worry Cedar, you didn't offend me I'm use to others being prejudiced against werewolves and anyway I probably should go back to my own compartment now anyway," Henry smiled and waved a goodbye to both Miranda and Cedar before adding " and you should stay Cedar there's still plenty of time to change and anyway it's better to have company on the Hogwarts Express." As Henry slid opened the door and stepped out of the compartment, he tuned it the two siblings and spoke again before leaving " it was nice to meet you Cedar and I hope that we meet again. I'll meet you at Hogwarts sometime Miranda and it was also nice you again, mate." Henry closed the compartment door and made his way back to his own compartment before spotting a friend and deciding to take another short detour.

"I'll look forward to it," Miranda replied with a small smile, watching as Henry left, quickly followed by Cedar, who still wouldn't meet her eyes. The compartment seemed eerily quiet with pretty much everyone gone, but Miranda was used to that. Being alone didn't bother her, since peace and quiet were the best surroundings when reading or pursuing a different artistic path. Especially given her tendency to murmur the words aloud...well, that was a pretty bad habit. Especially when Cedar caught on and started to mimic her words in a mocking tone.

She sighed and reached into her trunk, wasting a few minutes as she fished through the assorted supplies until she chanced upon her cache of books she'd brought from home. There weren't many, since she tended to get all the books she needed from the school library, but it was still nice to have a few from home for sentimental reasons. Even if they took up a ton of space in her trunk.

Eventually she settled on a thick tome with a worn leather cover. The only decoration was the title written on the spine in lilting black letter that half-blended into the burgundy background. It was about the different intelligent races, and was one of the few books she owned that wasn't prejudiced when it talked about the different races, like dhampires, half-veela...and werewolves. So with nothing else to do, she settled in and began to read, a small smile tracing across her face.
End of thread, I assume?
