Stormy Accusations
[font=times new roman]
This was getting a little out of hand now, as he had only wanted to go for a casual swim that day, weather depending, it quickly became a dramatic episode of your local broadcast sitcom. It wasn't as if he went searching for this sort of altercation, it just happened. It wouldn't have been so bad, he thought, if the May girl hadn't intruded upon their personal confrontation. It was ending between the two young Gryffindors and this clueless badger just had to stick her nose into every situation Zyk seemed to be apart of. Regardless, this needed to end now. Ivys emotions were clearly showing and he couldn't help but feeling a spark of guilt pull through his gut, knowing that he didn't want to hurt the girl he had crushed on, but, not seeing any other way to avoid their clearly opposite personalities.
Ivys words didn't do much to settle the pit that he had dwelling within his being, it just made it worse, her soft tones of pleading didn't set his mind at ease at all and it just caused him to want to get out of the situation even more. The lake seemed a viable option, even with the storm swelling above and the raindrops clearly hitting harder upon the surface of the water. Zyk had walked out into the water a little and they two girls seemed to go ape-shit over this, he didn't see a problem with it and didn't understand why when Ivy had grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back, it was in an overly dramatic way. Shaking his head as he looked back down to Ivy, he offered a half-smile, forced, "Just leave me alone Ivy," he shook his head slightly, letting his head fall as he looked from her to the water where they were in, "We're just different, okay?" he concluded.
It was then that the Hufflepuff had to make her dramatic presence known as always, he hadn't even fallen over and she was yelling at him to get up or something? What was she blabbering about now? Zykeal looked back at the girl, May, and she had grasped onto him as well in the same fashion as Ivy had and started to pull him, "What the f," he tried to say, but the girls were pulling him backward in the water and he lost his balance and fell backward into the water. After a moment of getting his feet back underneath him, he came out of the water with a splutter, "What the f**k do you think you're doing?" he spouted at May, turning to Ivy after, "You two trying to kill me or something?" he nearly shouted at the two. There wasn't any sort of thought of him dying in any was, they were being absurdly dramatic about him being in the water and this was just annoying him.
Anger set in then, he couldn't help it, if it was just Ivy there and talking to him, things would have gone this way, but it seemed the addition of May adding unnecessary drama into their personal conversation had sparked something after they had pulled him over. Turning around to face the two, "Can you two lovers just get lost already!?" he shouted, anger taking over, "I'm not trying to kill myself, just trying to get away from you two!" he continued, he didn't mean Ivy, but she just got caught in his backlash when things went south. Before he would leave the two, he looked straight at Ivy and narrowed his lids over those golden irises, "Don't bother talking to me again," he said harshly, "I don't need this, you," he concluded.
That was probably the meanest thing he had ever said in his entire life, he really didn't mean it, but the situation clearly empowered his statements and there was no taking it back any longer. A shake of his head was given and he decided it was time to leave, stomping his way through the water and past the two, he pushed onwards towards the safety of the land and quickly gathered his belongings. A quick glance back to Ivy was given and he just shook his head once more, it was so unfortunate that they had to end things like this, but, he didn't ask for this. With his soaked clothes and possessions in hand, he walked off alone towards the castle where his dormitory and hot shower awaited him.

Stormy Accusations
@May Moonstar
"We're just different, okay?"
"Alright," she replied, her voice hoarse and quiet. "Alright." Say something else! her brain screamed at her. Tell him you're sorry again, make him believe it... and if she had, maybe Zyk would have stayed and listened to her. But she couldn't find her voice again, and all she could to was stare hopelessly at him, tears disguised by the rain. What was wrong with her? Why couldn't she say anything?
Later on, Ivy would go over the afternoon's events and think, maybe those words had been said in an attempt to comfort her. Maybe Zyk had been trying to help her move on - to end things in a neat, tidy way. And she could understand that, because if she was put in his situation, she would have probably done the same thing. At that point, nothing had gone too far yet. Yes, Ivy had been slowly falling to pieces for the past few minutes, but perhaps she would have been able to pick herself up and leave with her dignity and heart intact.
But no. Nothing ever ended well for her. Now May was running forward, tugging at Zyk's sleeve too, only she was pulling way too hard and he was falling backwards... Ivy let go of him, unable to do anything but watch in horror as he went underwater for a moment, her vision blurring with tears. She was rooted to the spot, as if she were paralysed or something, and only then did she realise she was shaking. Her eyes widened as Zyk shouted at them, asking if they were trying to kill him. Ivy shook her head frantically. No, he had it all wrong... why didn't he understand what she was trying to do?
Something in between a gasp and a sob would escape her as Zyk delivered the final blow. It was meant to hurt, and it did. He turned away again and this time Ivy let him leave, the tears flowing even faster as she watched him go. She turned to May, hatred coursing through her veins for this girl who had ruined everything. If May hadn't shown up... then everything would have gone differently. Ivy didn't have the strength or energy to start another argument, but she looked at the Hufflepuff with heartbroken anger, grey eyes flashing dangerously. "This - is - your fault," she told her.
Then she ran.
