Quidditch Ravenclaw vs Hufflepuff - Spring 2025

Finally, a match without rain. With her fancy new Silver Arrow, Sage felt more prepared for the final match of the year than ever before. She took her spot on the Hufflepuff bench, cheering for her teammates as they took the field. Sage, unfortunately, had not won any matches during her time playing Quidditch. She'd always been knocked down not long after winding up in the game. She crossed her fingers that this time would be different.

Sage raised her hands to mouth to act as some sort of megaphone. "Let's go, Hufflepuff! Let's win this one!"

Here we go again. Andy's second game as a Ravenclaw keeper, sitting on the bench. It was 10 in the morning, a very weird time to have any sport event, but it is what it is. Andy admired the view from the bench, hoping, and not hoping for the same time that the Ravenclaw starting keeper, by the name of Charlie will fall off her broom, since if she does fall off, Andy is in for the rest of the game. Andy is a pretty lucky boy to not have been slammed in the head by a bludger...

It was the beginning of the final game of Charlie’s third year. She had mixed feelings about it, and was hoping to get another win for the season. It was also one of her teammates' last game, which brought up even more bittersweet feelings. Charlie had spent quite a bit of time with Lavina over the years, and respected her a lot. She believed that Lavina was an amazing co-captain and had learned a lot from her. As Charlie took her usual place on the pitch beneath the golden rings she prayed that her team would come out on top.

Despite the slight overcast sky, there didn't appear to be a torrential rain for once. While Atlas enjoyed the inclement weather games, she didn't mind an occasional game where she didn't have to squint her way through the rain. A slight breeze offered a minor reprieve from the heat but she remained too focused to allow the heat to darken her mood.

Flying to take up her position at her goalposts, Atlas cracked her neck to each side with a mischievous chuckle at the audible popping noise. Taking a deep breath and holding it for a moment, Atlas forced out any of her pre-game nerves. While Ravenclaw was a good team, she had no doubts that her team was ready and eager for the challenge. They had practiced too hard to go down easily. Atlas knew anything could happen once the chaos began but remained quietly determined to be a wall against any attempted Ravenclaw offense.

Keepers Catch
10% chance to automatically block an attempt to score a goal as long as the Keeper is in the goal area. If an attempt to score has been blocked through this effect, the Keeper may as a free action hurl the quaffle at the opponent team in an attempt to injure a player of their choice (it would be recovered with a quaffle grab action) and treated like a bludger or pass the quaffle to a team mate. This must be declared by the Keeper if either of these free actions are to be utilized.

Evasive Maneuvers
Harder to hit on average, 10% on auto-dodge chance that anything that targets this wizard automatically misses. This is rolled separately from the attack roll.

Broom: Varapidos (+3 to all stats) (Enganação. This literally means "cheat" and is a basically the art of sleight of hand for Brazilian Quiddich players. When a Quiddich player attempts to use the "cheat" action where they attempt to cast a spell while in a game, they succeed once per game automatically. Must declare alongside cheat action. All subsequent attempts to cheat have a 10% automatic "not noticed by the spectators" effect.)

Daphne was incredibly excited for this game, she had recently been training more and on top of that got a new broom as well. She had a feeling that she’d be able to find the snitch without getting knocked out-and she knew her teammates would work equally as hard to win if not more. With a grin on her face, she took to the sky, a soft gasp of surprise escaping her lips from how much faster this was compared to her old Nimbus.

Abilities: Alluring: A Part-Veela is incredibly beautiful, the magic creates an "entranced" effect, wherein those that would be an attraction where they lose sight of their surroundings and focus more than necessary on the Part-Veela's movements or appearance. Viewers are also prone to experiencing thoughts of a strong desire to impress or be with the Part-Veela in question, some are strongly attracted romantically.

Prodigal DADA Learner: Able to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts 1 year ahead of their actual school year. You may only choose a spell taught in DADA classes. At end game they learn 1 restricted spell. This can also serve as an alternative means to learning spells besides earning them through DADA class.

Scream: The scream can be disorienting (-1 accuracy and -1 evasion), requiring a full action to perform but does not require a wand. This can stack indefinitely and persist until the end of the encounter. This scream can target a single user or it can target up to five users (as an AOE attack). Alternatively, this spell can be used to temporarily deafen an opponent. So rather than cause the player to become disoriented, they would become deafened (unable to hear) for the next 5 rounds.

Broom: Silver Arrow

It was the perfect day for a quidditch match, and Tes eagerly stretched her arms above her head, easing stiffness out of her back and shoulders. The last thing she wanted to do was strain a muscle before Hufflepuff could even take off, even if she had a sneaking suspicion she'd end up knocked right off her broom like most games.

She waved at the Ravenclaw players, trying to pick out who Lavinia Cloven was, even though she'd never met most of the other team. "Good luck Ravenclaw! Have a good last game, Lavinia!"

Turning back to her own team, she shouted gleefully, "This is such a lovely day to be on the field! Let's have a fun game and give it our all!" Hopping on her broom, she grinned, vibrating with excitement.

Landon gasped as he watched the game begin, though he was cheering eagerly at Tesla because he wanted to encourage her to play well. Really, he was cheering the whole team, but his focus was on Tesla at this time. He shuddered a little as he watched the action unfurl, wincing as Atlas took a hard hit from a bludger. He was nervous now. Atlas was so reliable as a Keeper and now Landon was genuinely nervous about having to go into the game. But he had trained for this, and he knew he could do it.
