As the pieces of the past come together, Richard realizes that someone is trying to break the seal that holds it back. And worse yet… the abyss is calling to him. Faced with betrayal, dark magic, and a danger older than Hogwarts itself, Richard and friends must make a choice: walk away and pretend he never heard the whispers… or step into the darkness and face whatever waits in the Forgotten Abyss. Because if they don't, Hogwarts may never wake again.

Content Guidelines – Keep writing and discussions PG-13. No explicit content, excessive violence, or sensitive topics without approval. 3. Originality & Credit – If using another member’s character or idea, ask permission first and give proper credit. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. 4. Participation & Engagement – Active participation in prompts, challenges, and discussions is encouraged. The more involved you are, the more fun and rewarding the club will be! 5. Plagiarism-Free Zone – All submissions must be original works. Borrowing elements from existing stories is fine, but the writing should be your own creation. 6. Attendance & Check-Ins – Frequent participation will grant access to special events, personalized challenges, and featured stories. Inactivity may result in removal from certain projects. Calling all writers, pranksters, and magical mischief-makers! The prestigious role of Scribe is open in our esteemed club, and only the most clever, creative, and downright hilarious storyteller will earn the title! Do you have what it takes to capture the magic, mayhem, and madness of Hogwarts in 500 words or more? Prove it! Contest Details Your challenge is to write a Hogwarts-themed short story based on one of the prompts below. Your entry can feature an original character, yourself, or even an established Hogwarts student—as long as your story stays within the wizarding world and keeps things PG-13. The winner will be announced once the club leader has reviewed all submissions. The Story Prompts Choose ONE of the following: 1. The Great Hogwarts Snack Heist You and your friends attempt to pull off the ultimate snack heist from the Hogwarts kitchens, only to find the house-elves ready for battle. Can you outwit them, or will you end up as the next house-elf-approved meal? 2. When Polyjuice Goes Wrong… Again A simple Polyjuice prank turns into a disaster when you transform into something—or someone—completely unexpected. Will you be able to fix it before anyone notices? Or will your awkward transformation become the talk of the entire school? 3. The Unbreakable Detention Record You accidentally break the record for most detentions in Hogwarts history, and now the legendary former record-holder has challenged you to a prank war for the title. Can you out-prank the master, or will you regret ever stepping into this battle of wits? 4. The Secret Life of the Sorting Hat You overhear the Sorting Hat gossiping with the enchanted portraits in the dead of night. Unfortunately, they notice you listening. What happens next? Do you keep their secrets or risk being on the wrong side of Hogwarts' most opinionated headwear? Contest Rules 500 words minimum (no maximum—go wild, but keep it readable!) PG-13 content only (No excessive violence, swearing, or anything inappropriate for a Hogwarts setting.) Originality & Creativity are key—make us laugh, make us think, and most importantly, make it magical! It’s time to test your creativity and weave a side story that could change everything for your character—or introduce an entirely new legend to the Wizarding World. For this month’s challenge, your task is to craft a 1,000-word minimum short story based on the prompt below. Whether you dive deeper into your existing character’s backstory or introduce someone new, this is your chance to explore the untold moments, forgotten choices, and unexpected adventures of the wizarding world. A Bargain with the Wrong Wizard Your character needs something—desperately. Perhaps it’s a rare magical artifact, a forgotten spell, or even a way to save someone they care about. With no other options, they seek out a dangerous and elusive figure—a former Hogwarts professor, a notorious dark wizard, or a shadowy dealer in Knockturn Alley. At first, the bargain seems simple enough. But as the deal unfolds, they begin to realize that the true cost is far greater than they ever expected. Now, they must decide: find a way to outsmart the dealmaker or suffer the consequences of their choice. Must include: A tense negotiation scene filled with hidden motives and clever wordplay. The moment they realize they’ve been tricked—or trapped in a magical contract. A high-stakes decision: outwit the dealmaker, or accept the consequences?
