Tag/It - Group 1 PV Sign Ups

Alyssea practically had to force her eyes open. She was so tired after all the events during camp, but she had to remind herself it was almost over!

She threw the covers off her body and quietly tip-toed around the room as she got ready. It was good that she had a bottom bunk; at least her roommate wouldn't wake up by the creaking and swaying of the bed as she got down. That was the only reason she wanted to bottom bunk.

She took her black shorts, white top, and terracotta-coloured cardigan from her suitcase and put on her trainers. The other day, she signed up to play tag, so with all the running around she anticipated, shorts seemed like a fitting choice. Plus, with the cardigan, she could always take it off once she got too hot from the sun.

After dressing up and putting on some sunscreen, she headed to the dining hall and quickly ate her toast and cereal. It was still pretty early, but she didn't want to suffer with a stitch during the fun. What a mood-killer.

Come 10 am, Alyssea headed to the area, following the sign that said 'Tag - This way' and looking around as other camp participants moved around the place. The organiser, Estelle, led her to Group 1 and explained the rules.

Alyssea listened as Estelle listed out the rules. The main message was to stay safe and have fun, both of which Alyssea could do. She looked around at the other members in her group and her heart began to race. She did not want to be the Itter on the first round.

While Ava was not athletic, or anything near athletic, she could play tag. It was a simple muggle game she used to play with kids in school, running around the school yard to evade the tagger. She was neither good nor bad at it, but it was a game she had played many times over.

When news of the tag game reached her, she decided to show up and try her best. She would surely trump any purebloods playing, finally something she would be better at. Well, possibly better, she didn't know. It was all chance, really. The only thing that mattered for now was that she tried her hardest and kept her eyes peeled.

Her clothes were somewhat athletic, but she wasn't in a full out jogging suit, unlike the people she used to see running the streets early in the morning. There were pockets stitched into the side of the legging bottoms, and they held her wand snuggly. As she moved, she could feel the wood pressed soundly against her skin. Her top would soon be molded to her body, covered in sweat from the game. At least she wouldn't be the only one a little sticky,

Once she had reached the destination, others joined her. When they had enough to start the game, the rules were explained for those who didn't know them. She smiled, finally not needing instruction to do this. She was in the wizarding world; doing something she would understand. Probably the first time, too.

"I'm ready," she said with a smile. "And I'll be the tagger if no one else wants to."

Roksana Nikolayev Volkov certainly did not run all over the place laughing, either trying to tag people or evade them. Yet that was literally what she was planning to do right now. Reminder, why was this her life currently? Well, summer camp was all about breaking out of your shell and all that other stuff, wasn't it? Yes, yes it was. Roksana was finally going to interact with a whole group of students in an entertaining way: aka, have fun.

Roksana had played tag before, she'd be in a very uncomfortable position if she hadn't. Before they had grown apart, she used to play tag all the time with her sister Mila. They were extremely close back then. She dressed in a blue t-shirt and shorts, and then she later ran out of the Kelpie Cabin. When she got to the place where the tag game was being held, she saw that there were definitely people there. She wasn't early? Good. Roksana listened with the other students to the general rules, and Roksana nodded in understanding.

"Understood," she said. "And I don't want to be the tagger, just so you know." Roksana tucked her wavy blonde hair into a ponytail and was relieved when another girl said that she would be the tagger. Roksana was quite fast, no doubt about that, but when it came to a whole group of students zigzagging back and forth. At least Roksana only had to worry less about the language barrier.

Since she had gone back to Russia, she had taken a lot of time learning English, and now she was getting a lot better, enough to hold a long conversation now! Roksana felt happy about that. She grinned at the other students around her. She was ready to start and have some fun!

Reuben was having quite a good time at the summer camp. There were plenty of people to interact with, and it was not hard to make new friends, although he had no idea whether they would remain in touch or not, but to him, that did not matter, or at least, it did not matter much.

Recently, he had also been signing up for several unofficial games, and Tag was one of them. Reuben had played Tag quite a lot with muggles on the days when he sneaked out of his house, and to tell the truth, it was really fun. He loved running around and yelling 'Catch me if you can' at his friends.

Reuben entered the area and waved to everyone. He gave Tone and extra smile. That guy seemed to be everywhere. "Hey everyone! I'm Reuben, and before you ask, no, I'm not willing to be the Itter, thank you very much.", he said.

He was already ready to run as fast as possible, while at the same time, have fun. He loved how enthusiastic everyone here was, organizing different games to make sure that the others did not get bored. Reuben watched the girl who had organized the event and decided to thank and appreciate her later.

Would not like to be the Itter.

Estelle was excited for the game to get underway. She had been looking forward to it ever since she put up the sign up sheet and hoped that the others would enjoy it. She had joined many clubs and games but had never organised one and she hoped that this would go well.

The grassy field they were playing in was devoid of trip hazards and was filled with luscious green grass. Her cat, Athena, had come to the camp as well for the pet fair and had found a bunch of catnip which she was rolling on in the centre of the grass. Estelle rolled her eyes and, smiling and apologising to the members, walked over and picked up the fluffy kitty. She had grown since Estelle had bought her but was still undoubtedly a kitten and enjoyed playing with Estelle's laces and getting into trouble. Athena curled up in Estelle's arms, purring, still sleepy from the catnip.

Es listened as everyone announced their opinions on beginning as the Itter and thought for a minute about who it should be. It was between Hiro and Ava as they were both willing.

She flipped a coin to decide who would be the Itter and showed the result for all to see. Hiro had won and would begin as Itter.

Everyone had five seconds to run before the game began. Estelle counted them down.

"5...

2...

1...

GO!"

Alyssea looked around as people stated their preferences. Tone had been a relief to see. He was right about first seeing them at the 'spin the bottle beans' he set up. That was... an interesting experience to say the least.

Two people, including Tone, said they wanted to be It. She looked at Tone and then the girl who said she would do it.

Estelle took a second to flip a coin before she announced Tone as the Itter. Alyssea's heart raced. She knew nothing about him as a runner, so she would just have to run and hope she could outsmart him. That's what she's good at, right?

Estelle then began counting down. Alyssea took her stance with each count, adjusting her legs in a sprint, bending down, and looking around at everyone. Where would she run to first?

"GO!"

Alyssea ran. She hoped her small legs would keep her out of Tone's radar. She was short! She couldn't potentially tag anyone even if she tried with her small legs! Maybe after this, her legs will extend a little. For now, she just had to outrun everyone.

Roksana was glad that she didn't have to be the Itter, honestly, because she wasn't sure where she would've gotten. She took a moment to look around and see if there was anywhere good to run to. What she really wished, though, was to climb up the trees, see if anybody could tag her up there. But that was unfair, and cheating, so Roksana decided that she was going to keep her feet planted firmly on the ground, for once.

A coin toss was done to see who the Itter would be, and it was decided to be a teenage boy with colourful hair...what was his name, Tone? As soon as the game was about to start and the seconds were being counted down, Roksana braced herself, looking for somewhere good to run. 5...4...3...2...1! At the sound of "Go", Roksana ran as fast as her not so long legs would take her, keeping her arms slightly outstretched in case she could grab anything to help her make a tight turn.

The Itter looked like he had long legs, and Roksana really hoped that he wouldn't try to get her just because she was possibly one of the shortest people there. Roksana ran as far away as she could from Tone, trying to get distance some distance between herself and him, and looking to see if there was an area where the most kids were gathered. After all, safety in numbers was definitely a real thing, and Roksana wanted to stay in the game as long as she could.
