Wow, this was almost unreal. Jay took in how many people there was at this game, feeling a bit overwhelmed. Muggle sport games were usually packed, yeah, but this was a school game! Holy wow, was it more then he expected from this. The sporty boy took a breath to stable his growing nerves. It was going to be fine. They were going to win. He hoped, anyways.

When the speaker finally announced his team, he turned around and said, “It's time to get pumped up and go out there and give it our all! No matter what the outcome, we know that we gave it our best shot.” He took his position on the field, waiting for the game to begin.

It was about dang time! The anticipation for this match had built up for the past several days, practice and his excitement having honed the lad's focus to an almost laser-like point. He was more than ready to take to the skies, save a couple of his friends, let off some steam, and maybe even score a few quaffles in the process. Goggles on!

"Remember to keep your head on a swivel Edward," Syl said encouragingly to the team's new seeker, enacting the next words to come out of his mouth by wiggling his arms from one side to the other and back in a smooth motion. "and if you get blatched or something, just go limp... Like a noodle." Wyllt's mind would wander as he gave the advice, dancing like a noodle and questioning whether Foxe was the type to panick on the pitch or remember his training. With only one way to find out, Syl stopped the foolish act and hopped on his Moontrimmer, taking to the sky after Damion.

"You gonna help us win this time?" He nudged his elbow in the ribs of the silent beater, trying his best to keep up with him. Damion was quiet from Syl's experiences with him on the pitch, but he also seemed like the team's very own Pop Star. Cecily and Lavinia were cheaters good at chasing, but if anyone was going to get famous playing Quidditch then Syl thought it should be Damion who ended up on a Wizarding World billboard somewhere. Wait, did they even have those? "Well if you see the chance, seize it. You don't have to wait for my lead to take matters into your own hands." His winning smile as he gave advice? Nothing less than experienced confidence and well intentioned hype.

To follow it up he would give high fives to anyone in the Ravenclaw stands as he flew by them, doing his best at riling up the crowd while he hung from his broom upside down, using nothing but his wiry legs to maintain his grip. The wintry cold blistered his cheeks all along the way. Oh, to feel the bitter sting of February air. It was to feel alive. "Stay frosty everyone!" he would dad joke aloud to the entire team one last time, righting himself on his broom a bit less than graciously as he maneuvered into a starting position.

Edward was excited. Very excited. Not really scared. Not even after Sylvain's comment on bludgers hitting him. He rather giggled at Sylvains performance of a wiggling noodle.
He was just excited to get into the air and finally play a real game of Quidditch. He had only watched one game of his house's team and knew right after that game that he wanted to sign up. Then things went so fast. He got into the team as second string only a week after sign up. And now he was lined up as first string for his first match. Wow!
He grabbed his brand new silver arrow, which he got with a generous donation from both his parents and the team (thank you everyone!). He remembered his first ride and .. Taisia. He looked to the bench, where she was watching. He had met her on that day. His heart started beating faster as always when he saw her or thought of her.
He quickly looked away, scared she would look and see him stare at her, suddenly a bit self-conscious. Hopefully I don't make a fool out of myself.
He pushed the thought aside and tried to concentrate on the game. Then he got into the air right after Sylvain and shouted "Thank you Captain!". He nodded at his team members, whishing them good luck, still struggling with the new names and faces. Luckily, they wear the house colors. And I don't need to talk to them much on the field but rather look for the snitch. The snitch! He wanted so badly to catch one in his first match. That would definitley make Taisia fall for him he thought. He tried but just could not get her off his thoughts.
He flew a few rounds across the field to feel a bit warmer and finally arrived in the starting position on the field. Please let it be a good game! he thought and then the game started.

Quidditch. What an interesting game... isn't it? Hannah was excited of course, but still, this was different than Scottish Rugby, or even dueling like her father.

Then, she looked at the audience. Wow. It looked like thousands of people had come just to watch her. Even people from different houses were there.

She tried to smile, but what came out was a frown.

"Let's do this." the girl looked at @Pax Zhang the captain of the team. "Let's win this for Gryffindor."

It was time for her first game. Taisia was officially on the Ravenclaw Team Bench. Sitting on the bench in the icy cold weather would be interesting. The stands were filling rather fast- everyone wanted to see Ravenclaw play Gryffindor. Taisia looked around to see for anyone she knew and couldn't see anyone that far. She did see Edward though. The whole start of the game, she had been trying to avoid speaking to him, looking at him. But as she saw his ruby red hair and envisioned his emerald green eyes, she allowed herself to watch him for now.

Pax took a deep breath to steady themselves as they entered the pitch. The second game of the season was fast upon them, and as much as they hoped they weren't sure if they were ready. Nonetheless, they had to show they were, for their team's sake.

"It's not going to be easy," they warned as they gathered for a final team talk. "Ravenclaw are gonna be tough to beat. We gotta remember to play our game right, try to stick to what we've practiced. But if you see an opening, you best believe you ought to take it. I know that if we focus and play our game right, we can win. And we will win, ok? Go team, go Gryffindor!"

They put on the biggest smile they could as they rallied the team and mounted their broom, trying to take in the crowds and let themselves be immersed in the game.

Their first match of 2023, although they had lost and gained team mates since the end of 2022 Winnie was in particularly high spirits the day of the match. There was nothing quite like soaring through the air on a crisp winter's day after all, and when the element of violence-- erm, the thrill of the sport was added in to the mix, she felt unstoppable.

Well... Aside from the bench she had to sit on. Oh well. Cheering her team mates on was also important.
