CL Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder! PV GE members

Golden Explorers club. This is a club Rita`s long-lost friend and quill pal, Cara Smalley, recommended to the Second Year Hufflepuff. As an outdoorsy person and a girl that likes to explore different places around Hogwarts, the Second Year Hufflepuff knew by heart that this is a perfect club for her to join, even though she had joined a fairly large number of clubs this year. Sadly, the original leader of the club, Noah Jupe, had also disappeared for some reason, and the person taking over the club was someone Rita was only too familiar with, Kim Aoki. Kim had noticed the other members of the club that the first meeting would take place in the Outdoor Club Area at around 4 pm on Oct 5th. So, after the Second Year Hufflepuff finished her busy classes that Wednesday, she decided to quickly go to the scheduled place for the first meeting of the GE club organized by the new club leader, aka Kim Aoki.

Maybe due to the fact that Rita ran quite quickly, the Second Year Hufflepuff quickly found out she was the first person to arrive at the meeting, besides Kim. "It seems that I am the first person to arrive again! Fancy seeing you, Kim Aoki and adorable Puffie! I hope you are having a great day! We are here for the first meeting of the Golden Explorers club, right?" The Second Year Hufflepuff waved to the Gryffindor boy with orange hair this year and his puffball Puffie on his shoulder. She then chose a place to stand in the Outdoor Club Area and waited for other members of the club to join the meeting.

Bailey was a member of yet another club. She also counted herself as the VP or co, since her bestie Kim was the head of this club. They, when one of the was the head of a club, made the other the VP or co owner. Bailey had started this when she only knew Kim through owl, which was how they were introduced. They did not know that they had already met, but that was a story for another time.
It was the beginning of October, and Bailey had dressed casual but warmly. She was wearing a somewhat skin tight black shirt, high waisted jeans, a blue and white and black checkered flannel, sparkly boots that she LOVED, and some basic but outdoorsy jewelry - a flowers neclace, some rings, and the earings she had worn to the Blossom Ball that spring.
oh how I've grown since then.. Bailey thought, no longer caring about the boy who had broken her heart.
now i have no need to dress to impress anyone... don't i? Bailey's heart fluttered, and she was not sure why. I don't have anyone that i am trying to impress..? right? . Brushing whatever she was feeling off, Bailey walked down to the Outdoor club area, a tray of peanut butter balls on hand. Bailey did not have a lot of time that day to make something, but she had had enough time to make some peanut butter balls. plus i wanted some... i've been craving these Bailey thought.
Bailey entered the outdoor club area, and instantly spotted Kim and Puffie. Bailey saw Rita, and she waved at the younger second year.
Sitting down next to Kim, Bailey said with a smile, "I brought peanut butter balls! They're nothing special, but I had a taste for them, so that's what i made to bring!"
Popping one in her mouth, Bailey swallowed and then continued speaking.
Unknown to bailey, she had some chocolate on her lip, and around her mouth.
"how many members do we have? I am assuming Rita is one, you, me.... who else?"

It was one of her absolute favorite snacks - just fabulous for late night, in the dark, movie watching. She supposed it would be good for early afternoon, in the muted light of day, club gathering, too. Hope the crunching will not to be too loud or distracting. Hmmmmmm... probably should have thought of that earlier.

It was a beautiful day. Cool, but not yet nippy. Perfect weather. She had packed a light jacket in her satchel if necessary, but she thought the dusty rose sweater would keep her toasty enough for the next hour or so. Bailey and Kim always liked to do things "just so", but this was an action kind of club so she felt showing up dressed pretty informally in her light blue jeans and faux leather tan ankle boots would suffice.

She smiled when she got there to find she was not late. She greeted Bailey and Kim, careful to not focus on Kim too much as she could tell he was not comfortable in social gatherings. He clearly liked people, but she had determined that being around too many of them was a problem for him. She could relate to that, but she also suspected their reasons for why this was so were quite different.

"Hi, everyone! and she smile and nodded to a second year Hufflepuff she really did not know, other than her name was Rita. They had a couple of classes together, so that is why she even knew that much. "Hi, I am AngelFyre, but everyone calls me AF. You are Rita, right? Nice to meet you officially, and she smiled even more widely at the girl. Then turning her attention to everyone she announced, "I brought chocolate caramel kettle korn, napkins, and paper plates if anyone is interested," and she set it all down so that anyone could get to it easily. Then she spied the peanut butter balls and her mouth began to salivate a little as the idea to combine that with the kettle korn exploded a euphoric dopamine rush in her brain.

This was going to be a great meeting!

It was 3 pm. And Kayla was bored.

Was bored even the proper word for such an emotion? Kayla had sulked around the common room a bit, chatting around and playing with Squeaky. Then she had done some homework. Still bored. She had abandoned her defence against the dark arts to do some painting. That had somewhat killed time. It was half-past three when she had done making a very random abstract piece. She showed it to her ferret with a frown.
"What do you think this is, girl?" Kayla asked, tilting her head to try and make out the orange and blue blobs. "Looks kinda like you, what do you reckon?" This was not a complete lie, if you tilted your head and squinted a bit, you could probably see a head and paws somewhere. Squeaky was, seemingly, unimpressed with this comparison and stretched a bit before turning her back on Kayla to go back to sleep.
"Drama queen," Kayla snorted, before going back to her 'masterpiece'. As she stared at her painting, trying to decide its meaning, she had a strange feeling that she was supposed to be somewhere.

That's when it hit her.

"The Explorers club!" She thought, standing up so quickly she startled Squeaky. She quickly scooped up the ferret and ran to her dorm and pulled on a jacket. Then she pulled it off. Then she pulled it back on in realisation ut was a bit cold. Her brown hair got messy due to this chaos and she took a brush out of her bag and started brushing furiously while she decided what to take. Her hair was now positivityly fluffy. She sat on her bed and took in a calming breath, before going back to rushing around. She put on her star earings and poked herself in the process. She put on a black cap, which did not compliment her hair and rushed out the door. Before going back inside to toss the cap on the bed.

For the way Kayla had rushed around her dorm, she was surprisingly slow to get to the Outdoor Club area. She walked. Instead of running at break-neck speed. But she made it relatively soon, so she didn't mind too much. And as she expected, she saw food. Wait...rephrase that, she saw Kim. And Bailey. Kayla had a suspicion that those two were always in the same clubs for a reason...but that was hardly the point. She saw food- er, she saw Rita, Kim and Bailey. Also an older girl she didn't recognise. But defiantly a Hufflepuff she had seen around the common room.
"Hey, everyone!" she greeted enthusiastically, "Kim, Bailey, yet another club you two are in...together." she made an emphasis on her last word but she didn't let them say anything. She already turned her attention to the two older Hufflepuffs.
"Hey Riri! Hey, I'm Kayla, whats your name?" she added to the other girl with a smile.

I had recently joined a really cool club called the Golden Explorers Club. It sounded fun, and why not? It was all about exploration, and it reminded me strongly of muggle scouts. However, since we were in the wizarding world, at Hogwarts, we would be known as wizarding scouts. I was ready for the club's first meeting, but it took a second for me to get there because...I didn't even know where it was. I mean, I know where it is, the Outdoor Club Area, but...where was the Outdoor Club Area? I assumed it was outside, because...well, because. I scoured the grounds until I saw a small group of people congregating in an area nearby. I thought I recognized the leader of the club, Kim Sato, and a couple of other people, both girls. I think their names were Rita and Kayla? I recognized them from around the common room and such, though I didn't know them that well. There was another girl that I also didn't really know, but all I knew was that she was a Hufflepuff. There was one more girl, who I might have seen around the castle at times but didn't know all that well. "Er, hi..." I started, a little nervous. "I'm Aurora...this is the Golden Explorers Club, right? I asked, really wanting to make sure because it's better to be safe than sorry.

"Hi, Kayla. Always nice to meet another fellow Hufflepuff. I am AngelFyre, but please call me AF. Everyone else does," and before she could continue, a concerned redhead made her entrance, asking whether this was The Golden Explorer's Club.

"It is, indeed," AngelFyre beckoned to her with a smile. "Welcome. Hi. I am AngelFyre McCubbin, but please call me AF."

She stepped aside just a bit so the newcomer could join the little grouping if she chose to do so. Looking around at the group, she voiced her earlier thought with a chortle. "Does it strike any of you, as it does me, that House Hufflepuff seems to put the Golden in this club's name? We are a well represented group amongst a school full of intrepid Explorers, it would seem. Take that Gryffindor!" and she shot a quick glance and smile to Kim just in case he had heard her friendly, little taunt.

Rita was just looking around and helping herself to some snacks when she noticed a few more people coming. It was again, Bailey, Roro and Kayla, the three girls she had met like a hundred times in Hogwarts but never got tired of them. Wait, there was someone she was not that familiar with, and it was a girl she had seen quite a few times in class, also a Second Year Hufflepuff, AngelFyre McCubbin, and go by AF. Anyway, Kim then announced that everyone should take turns to introduce themselves while they wait for more people to arrive. Kim then said he is always interested in outdoor activities. "So am I. That`s why I joined this club." The black-haired Hufflepuff thought, before deciding to go next.

"OK, I`ll be next. My name is Rita Su, Second Year Hufflepuff, and first-string beater in the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. Like Kim does, I am also an outdoorsy type of person, and am really fond of participating in all kinds of outdoor activities and events. I also like exploring different places, that`s why I joined this club! By the way, nice to meet you, AF!" Rita introduced herself with a big smile, then turned to the group to see who would be next to speak.

There was not a huge turnout thus far, but it was a very nice and friendly representation. One thing AngelFyre had learned is that there were almost always late comers to these extra curricular meetings, so it was very likely there would be more showing up soon.

Before the meeting was called to order, AngelFyre momentarily disengaged from the gaggle of girls and went back to where the refreshments were. She quickly grabbed a paper plate, napkin, and one of the delicious fruit skewers. And chocolate caramel kettle korn, of course. She had her thermos of water, so she was set. As she was heading back to the group, Kim called them over to get the meeting started. Her timing to get her goodies had been perfect, it would seem. She settled herself comfortably and turned her attention to Kim. Well, that was not entirely true.

AngelFyre was normally an active listener which meant she would make sustained, eye contact with people when they were speaking. She knew enough about Kim to know that group settings unnerved the boy. It was kind of ironic, however, because everywhere she seemed to look, Kim was there. She even knew him to be in a lot of places she herself was not, so AngelFyre had long ago determined that it was not a matter of his being shy. She thought the problem was with crowds. Crowds... well, crowds just seemed to crowd him. What his trigger was she was uncertain about, however, so because she did not know, she was not going to be looking at him as he spoke. At least not in her normal fashion.

She knew she ran the risk of appearing to be rude, but if his phobia had to do with focused attention trained on him vs a crush of people too much in his personal space, she decided to err on the side of appearing to be rude. They had circled each other enough in other settings that she felt he was well aware being rude was not AngelFyre's general 'modus operandi', so it would likely not even register on his radar.

She spent more time looking down at her lap while listening to his introduction, but did note on the occasions she did look up, he seemed able to make eye contact with everyone just fine. Okay, she could eliminate focused attention being his issue which only helped bolster her crowd crush theory. Kim was a boy who liked his personal space. This was good to know.

After both he and Rita Su made their introductions, no one was racing to be next, so AngelFyre cleared her throat and decided to go next. "Hi, AngelFyre McCubbin here, but I go by AF. I am a second year Hufflepuff and duelist. I have a background in gymnastics and dance and was once upon a time an equestrian. Like everyone here, I imagine, I love being outdoors. I was a member of Girlguiding Scotland until I left home for school and it was just the best fun. There is nothing like discovering new friends, places, or something about one's self while doing fun activities. I am looking forward to getting to know more people through this club and having great adventures. Plus, I hope there will be badges... this badger is all about the badges!"
