Welcome to Renelle Dalton
Please join the staff in congratulating Renelle Dalton as our new Ravenclaw Prefect! Renelle has been with the community since August 2023, and has already established herself as a force to be reckoned with. Headliner contributor, Quidditch player and now Prefect! She also made a name for herself as one of the top 3 point earners in November! We are looking forward to working with her!

Duellists!
Stage 2 of the 2023/2024 season will be starting between the 27th-28th of January. New patch information should be out soon. Trunks and Rosters will lock January 25th so please have any new spells and abilities ready by then! A reminder, although Professers and Index can be speedy, there can also be a delay in getting spells added so please apply as soon as possible! Pairs/Matches will be announced on the 26th January.
If you have any questions, please ask a Duelling Captain or refer to the lastest patch.

Welcome to Sarai Toussaint (Remedy Norden)
Please join the staff in congratulating Remedy Norden as the new Herbology Professor! Remedy has been with the community since January of 2023 (previously Caoimhe Kyle) and has established herself well in Slytherin house. She wrote about having a green thumb IRL, so we're excited see her work finishing off the Herbology curriculum!

And of course a huge thank you to our previous professor Nancy McLouglin who knocked out several Herbology lessons during her tenure!

Blood Status
We have created a blood status page for Hogwarts.io, located in the Rules forum: viewtopic.php?t=30375. It provides explanation of all the blood statuses available on Hogwarts.io with an FAQ section. This has been created because we get a lot of questions about the differences between these, and this rules post allows us all to be on the same page.
If you believe you were indexed with the wrong blood status, you have 2 weeks from the date of this announcement to express concern (owl your Head of House and apply for reindexing with why you believe your blood status is wrong according to your original backstory). No, this does not mean you can rewrite your backstory or introduce new family plotlines to accomplish this, your original indexing would be reviewed. We will not review past indexing cases for blood status correction after the two weeks has passed.

Duelling Stage 2 2023/2024
Stage 2 of the duelling season is now underway! Match ups have been created and duellists should soon see the spectator and moderation threads pop up within the coming day or so. The in-character date for these threads is the 27/28th of January.
