Welcome too HiO! I'm currently reading the second Harry Potter book, and it's very dramatic so far; the audiobook is the funniest thing ever.

I can't wait to read the third book. I grew up with the movies, and I always felt audiobooks would work better for the imaginative feel, so I waited until now to read them all. I guess its because I finally feel like I have the time.

I totally agree! Don't get me wrong the books are good but there's something special about the audiobooks. And I'm the kind of the same - I'm more inclined with the films than the books but they're both good in their own rights

I agree. Audiobooks make you focus more on the imaginative aspect of what the films give you. My favourite movie is The Prisoner of Azkaban. That movie has so much stuff that makes it the best one ever, and I also feel like it shows a lot more in-depth about how the student-teacher relationships can be at Hogwarts.

My thoughts exactly! I also thought the film handled the Marauders reveal slightly better - I know that there's a lot that the film missed out on but a nitpick I had with the book was all the exposition just dumped on the reader - this might be a personal grievance, but I'm not much for lore dumps like that. At least in the film you could work it out better and it didn't linger on the subplots for so long.

Haha, that's cool! Oh, really, now I'm excited about that Marauders reveal; when I get to book three, I still have five hours to go on book 2. It's better to watch the films first before the movies because you can't imagine Hogwarts as it is without them. The lore and descriptions in the books feel way better because they go more in-depth as they get more time to explain compared to the movies. I like how Dobby is described in the books way more than in the film because they tell more about his lore.
