"Ventus!" Zach cast the jinx again towards EmmaLee, the badger that was in the same year as him. And beyond his expectation, the gust of the wind split into two. One hit EmmaLee which made a grin plastered on his face. The other one was lost in control. Finally! his thought screamed. At least he could do something this round. And no, he wouldn't scream on the piste. It was embarrassing. He had embarrassed himself enough from the previous rounds by missing his spells.

It seemed like this would not be an easily won battle. Figuring it had worked so well last duel, Emma threw the Cracker Jinx at the other side again, but this time she got distracted at the last moment, and ended up missing all but one of the Ravenclaws. Definitely not what she had wished for, but she was sure that they could turn things around. After all, they were doing something she had only read in books before her 11th birthday so stranger things had happened, right?

Effect: Zach is hit by the Tickling Charm and takes 170 damage. He will also suffer -2 Accuracy and -25HP per round for 2 rounds.

Five duelliests were still standing upright on the stage, and four of them needed to utilise their evasion skills for this bout of spells. The Ravenclaws turned all three of their sights on EmmaLee. They anticipated another dodge from her as Zach lined up the Slippery Jinx. His cast was perfect, and the effects of the spell coated the ground below EmmaLee. Pyxis had to squint as the shiny surface reflected too much light from around the room. The Ravenclaws' plan would have worked perfectly if both Hufflepuffs weren’t ready to lay down the law on the very person that targeted EmmaLee. The older Puff tried her trademark spell again, conjuring crackers that lit up Pyxis’ eyes even more and catching Zach and Cassian in its explosions.

EmmaLee stayed rooted to the spot, not giving the slip n’ slide below her a chance to deter her cast. She threw a Rictusempra at Zach who was still feeling the effects of the Cracker Jinx. A tight and painful feeling began to work its way up the Ravenclaw’s body and he felt himself getting weaker by the second. As the effects of the Slippery Jinx wore off below EmmaLee, Samantha and Cassian prepared to reveal their main event. Blasts of wind and fire were sent EmmaLee’s way, but Samantha’s aim was totally off-center, missing the chance to incorporate with Cassian’s Incendio. EmmaLee was almost able to evade the fire, but the effects of Zach’s previous Wind Jinx still stung her eyes, causing the flame to catch on her sleeve.

It would be fun if she's slipping, he thought. This mischievous thought came out of nowhere. And so he cast the spell, "Lubricus!" towards the floor under EmmaLee. The spell was indeed successful, but at what cost? EmmaLee didn't fall and she even managed to hit him with a Rictusempra. Yes. Zach got his instant karma. Not only that, Zach was also hit by the Cracker Jinx. What a miserable boy. He was now standing weakly with trembling legs and teary eyes. Meanie badgers, he whined inside his mind.

The Ravenclaw team moved as one once again, perfectly in sync. Cassian locked eyes quickly with Sam and instantly he knew the plan. He felt the heat wave as he successfully cast the Fire-Making Spell at EmmaLee. Unfortunately Sam’s wind jinx didn’t quite connect with the Hufflepuff, but Cassian was satisfied nonetheless. Perhaps the fire tornado would have to wait for another day. Besides, that might’ve been too much for the Hufflepuff team to handle. Cassian’s incendio spell hit EmmaLee directly and Cassian knew the burn would hurt for a while longer. Cassian wondered briefly if the lubricant Zach had cast on the piste floor was flammable, if so, things were about to get even more interesting.

Samantha was still in great health. However, the same couldn't be said about Zach. Despite being able to hit his target, Zach got hit too himself. He didn't seem to be doing very well, and Samantha quickly glanced at him with worry in her eyes. They could afford to lose a player but she still preferred it if he held on. The fourth year herself had to focus in dodging an incoming, leading to her own spell missing EmmaLee. Again.

Well it seemed like luck was on their side this round. Emma was proud to say that she had hit both Cassian and Zach, though it would have been nice to get all three. Then EmmaLee, even with the shiny, slippery floor underneath her would land her spell. However EmmaLee didn't make it out unscathed. Emma winced at the flames on her sleeve, leaning slightly away from her fellow Hufflepuff almost on instinct it seemed. She really did not like fire. Clenching and unclenching her hands, Emma blew out a breath, just ready for the next round to start.
