Effect: Zach evades the Tickling Charm.

The Hufflepuffs had seen what was done to Axyen during their first bout of spells and now it seemed like they were trying their hand at the tactic, with Zach playing the role of enemy number one. Whether Zach was prepared or he had lighter feet than Axyen did, Pyxis didn’t know, but the Ravenclaw had managed to stay out of the path of a Flipendo from Axyen and a Rictusempra from EmmaLee. Emma, who had been Hufflepuff’s consistent caster so far, tried her hand at another Cracker Jinx. Unfortunately, this one was less successful. The crackers dropped in front of Cassian again, but he’d seen this move of hers before and it was enough to prompt him to jump out of the way before the explosions started. Zach and Emma herself weren’t so lucky as they both found themselves too close to the range of the crackers.

Samantha followed Cassian and Emma’s examples, both with staying away from the radius of the explosions and casting a Cracker Jinx of her own in retaliation, hitting all three of the Hufflepuffs and skillfully avoiding the possible recoil. Zach’s cast did not have the same outcome as his fellow teammates as his attempt to silence Emma failed and she stepped away from his target.

Poor Axyen had been doing remarkably well thus far, according to Pyxis. After almost being completely wiped on the first round, the Hufflepuff had somehow found the endurance to hang on longer than anticipated, even as he battled against a harsh Rictusempra. However, the Ravenclaws knew exactly how beaten down Axyen was since they had done it all themselves. Executer Cassian was once again sent after his assigned target and launched another Rictusempra his way. The familiar feeling began making its way up Axyen’s ribcage and it would have been enough to take out the Hufflepuff on its own, but he was also caught up in Samantha’s Cracker Jinx. The combination of ticking and exploding crackers was enough to bring him to the floor, crumpling over the Confringo-damaged stage.

“Stop!” Pyxis yelled, holding his arms out to both sides of the piste. The match was paused and Axyen’s frame was carted off the stage and to the Hospital Wing. Pyxis hoped that something would quickly be done about the shards of the piste still embedded in his skin. Once the Hufflepuff was collected, Pyxis let his arms drop to his sides. “Okaay. Continue!”

Axyen was still in the duel, barely making it but he was still in and now he needed to focus as the next set of spells were going to shoot out into the arena. 'Who do I target? I need to pick someone and choose fast!' Axyen thought to himself, he decided he wasn't going to just focus on dodging this time. He immediately locked onto Zach as the person he'd be sending a spell towards, but what spell? '..Uh... Flipendo! It's quick and effective!' Axyen thought to himself, as he made the required wand movement, a downwards curve that went upwards as well as a small hook at the end of it. "Flipendo!" Axyen said out loud, watching a blue light come out from the tip of his wand and shot towards Zach, but unfortunately, it seemed that Axyen didn't have the best aim today as Zach was able to evade the incoming spell. However, unbeknownst to Axyen that would be the least of his worries this round as this round would happen to be his last round. Axyen noticed EmmaLee send out a Rictusempra towards Zach and Zach also managed to avoid that. 'Well, that is unfortunate.' Axyen thought. 'Maybe I can target him again next round? Maybe one of the other Ravenclaws?' Axyen thought, but little did Axyen know... more on that later!

Emma sent out the Cracker Jinx towards Cassian, however it seemed like Cassian saw the spell coming and dodge, Emma herself got hit by the spell but thankfully Zach got hit as well. Axyen noticed Samantha sending out a Cracker Jinx of her own. 'That is NOT good!' Axyen thought trying to see if he was able to dodge it, but to his horror(technically nothing) he got his with Rictusempra which came from Cassian and it was an instant knock-out from there. Axyen would probably feel that later on though. If there was something Axyen could think of in that moment it'd be something along the lines of: 'That sucks... Wish I could've done better though.'

Whoop! Zach jumped to the right, evading the spell that come from EmmaLee. And another whoop!, he jumped again to avoid the spell from Axyen. He was really lucky that he could evade those spells. But he jumped to a conclusion too fast. He failed to avoid the scatters from Emma's cracker jinx. He whined in pain. He decided to take revenge by shutting Emma with Mimblewimble but sadly, his casting missed.

He saw his teammates. Sam successfully made her Cracker Jinx hit and so did Cass with his Tickling Charm. Zach threw a smile at them, saying a good job.

Samantha's spell was a great success. Her hard work on her spell casting finially paid off and it was a perfect spell. Cassian also managed to hit his target. Zach managed to dodge most of the spells but sadly missed his own. Still, it was looking great for the Ravenclaw team and Samantha wasn't complaining. Of course they would win this. She was sure of it.

Spells were flying all around. Cassian saw Zach dodge two of the Hufflepuff’s spells, which was a huge relief to Cassian. Just when he was focused on the attacks on Zach, he saw Emma try another Cracker Jinx again. Not this time. Cassian saw them coming and he ducked under the whizzing firecrackers. Inspired by Emma’s spell, Cassian watched as Sam cast her own brilliant Cracker Jinx. Cassian saw as Sam’s firecracker exploded all around the Hufflepuff team, but he wasn’t sure if that would be enough to take out Axyen. Axyen, Cassian knew, was a powerful caster, one of the best of all the second years. He couldn’t be underestimated and so Cassian decided to try one more spell attack on the Dragon kid. Another successful Tickling Charm was sent his way and Cassian and the other duelists paused as Axyen was rushed off the piste to the Hospital Wing. Only two badgers remained.

Deciding to stick with what had worked last time, Emma once more cast the cracker jinx. However it was not nearly as successful this round. And in fact it seemed she had given the Ravenclaw side an idea. Emma nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of the crackers so close, her eyes widening in surprise. Deciding that this spell was alright, though she did not appreciate the adrenaline rush, Emma set herself back up for the next round, wondering what would come their way, especially now that they were down one Hufflepuff.

In the past couple of minutes, Pyxis witnessed as the Hufflepuff team suffered severe knocks that had even taken out one of their duellists. On the opposite end of the piste, the Ravenclaws claimed luck for their side, with only one person being hit. What followed was a single trade of blows on each side. Pyxis was sure the domination of the Ravenclaws would continue, and while the Hufflepuffs were clearly still at a disadvantage with one missing teammate, they were still holding on as the seconds ticked by.

Pyxis had to give credit to EmmaLee. It looked like she knew Emma was sturdier than her, and that two thirds of the Ravenclaw team was able to sense it too. Cassian aimed his trademark Rictusempra at her. It had taken down Axyen, and because of that, EmmaLee had seen it in action. Though, there was no need for the Hufflepuff to use that information against Cassian as his aim was way off. The flash of light from his spell passed nowhere near EmmaLee. Zach wanted his Ventus to hit EmmaLee too, and the witch tried to sidestep the powerful jolt of wind conjured by his wand, but it did end up catching her, sending large sections of her blonde hair askew and partially obscuring her vision. The last of the Ravenclaws would look to incapacitate Emma instead of her weaker teammate, but the older girl was too spry.

Because EmmaLee had put so much effort in her attempt to evade the spells coming to her, she missed her chance to cast a spell. Mostly worth it. A stiff Rictusempra would have been waiting for her had she not focused her energies in dodging. Emma, on the other hand, went with ol’ reliable. It had burned her once, but this time, she conjured the crackers a safe distance from herself. Perhaps the witch had put too much thought into that, leading her accuracy askew. As the crackers dropped to the stage and lit up the area with their explosions, Emma’s intended target felt not a single blow, nor did the oldest Ravenclaw. Cassian wasn’t so lucky, however, as he felt the small blasts against his skin, impacting his concentration.

Somehow, Emma managed to dodge her spell with ease. It was crazy how effortlessly the third year had made it look. Samantha's aim hadn't even been that bad. It annoyed her. As this was her last duel, the fourth year put all her effort into winning and somehow Emma had dodged her spell just like that. At least Zach managed to hit his target. Something that was much needed after his previous misses. Despite not preforming perfectly, the Ravenclaw team was still doing well, so Samantha didn't really have anything to complain about. Not that that was stopping her.

The duel was reaching the halfway point. Cassian felt another fizzing explosion of the Cracker Jinx, but this time wasn’t as painful as the first one. He still felt his concentration diminish, as his eyes and nose filled with firecracker smoke. He transferred his wand to his left hand, switching up his grip. Cassian found that sometimes it was beneficial for him to switch casting arms. It didn’t necessarily give him more power or accuracy, but it was just . . . different. Allowed him to take a different approach to the duel in front of him. He had been practicing with both arms, just in case his dominant, casting arm was hurt during a duel. Blinking back tears from the smoke, wand gripped firmly in his left hand, Cassian glanced at his teammates. There was no way they were going down without a fight and neither was he.
