Noah sighed, getting onto the piste, wondering who it was he were going to try and demolish that day. He hoped it would be someone the same age as him but he might just be delusional in the end. He looked around, plastering a fake smile onto his face. It was time to rumble.

A third duel already! Mahlioz felt like they were starting to get the hang of it. Especially with their previous win, which had made them giddy with excitement for at least a week.
Today, for the first time, she was on a team with two duellists she actually already knew - Leveret and Villa. Not well by any means, but she'd duelled with both of them before, though not in the same duel. The fact made them rather proud, like knowing duellists made them a better one. Perhaps it did. Only this match could tell.

She was opposing Gryffindor: two duellists she did not know, and one she did, from the last duel, who'd gone down. To be honest, Mahlioz had absolutely no idea how this was going to go. As usual, most of their mind was filled with hope. But also some skill. They knew there was some in there, and they were going to use it to try and win this thing. "Good to see you on the battlefield again," she said with a grin to all three people she had met before. "Let's do this."

It was the start of her 2nd ever duel. The first one went quite smoothly because she didn't get hit by any spell the entire time. This time, it wasn't so easy to predict the outcome. Three 2nd years versus one 3rd year and 2 first years. It was Ara's first time duelling a person a year older than her, it wasn't going to be easy but they had a plan.

The two other 2nd years on her team were Avery Leveret and Mahlioz Evethisawe. Mahlioz was familiar to Ara since last time they duelled together. Though for Avery, she wasn't familiar with it at all.

On the opposite team, there was a first year she already knew. Back then they were the only first year on the other side but now she had a buddy.

"Good to see you too, Evethisawe." she greeted back.

	----- One daren’t call this his grand return, not at all. Avery’s stomach was pitted, although his heart remained steeled in its resolve. Something didn’t feel right at present and for the young self-titled prodigy, that was a very bad sign indeed. Hopefully this would get some frustrations out, if anything. A string of bad luck had followed him this year, so he hadn’t come to expect much, but that didn’t mean he didn’t thirst for it… Sharp and crisp as ever, he climbed the steps to the piste and nodded to his teammates with little regard for them as he buttoned his rolled up sleeve. Instead, his dark, fell gaze tore through the ranks of his foes, sizing them up in seconds before he flexed his fingers around his wand hilt; going through the rhymes and rhythms of his ritualistic preparation. The slender boy turned side on, not too dissimilar to how a fencer might; as he feigned some trepidation; shifting his eyes between all three of his foes as if undecided on who would be on the receiving end of his vexed bite. In reality he was again playing the game of moves and countermoves. In his mind this bout was already decided, his target chosen. wc: 207

The time has come. Time to get back onto the piste, time for the duel, and time to see if some efforts she has put in are paid off. Sere could see that by her side now are two new dueling partners. My previous partners had left the duel. I hope both of them, Siobhan and Noah, will eventually last longer as duellists. Adjusting to new teammates are never gonna be that easy.

In contrast to her two new duel teammates, Sere is able to recognize the same two second-years in the Vipers as her opponent. Yes, she will once again face the Slytherin. The Gryffindor girl could see Mahlioz grinning while looking at... Me? Really? Sere blinked few times, cleared her throat, before finally making a small nod incase her vision was correct.

Sere raised her wand at the starting cue, whispering to her teammates, "Let's do this!"

Siobhan twisted her wand around in her hands as she stood next to her teammates. She had been so excited for the duel but now felt as though the small creature called Nervousness had settled in to a tenancy in her gut. She wasn’t as skilled as the two who stood next to her but she was damned sure she wouldn’t let them down. Plus, this entire ordeal bordered around her learning to harness more of her Arcane power and produce more powerful spells. She wanted to exceed as best she could and not let her partners down.

While she felt her nervousness, she knew that she didn’t exude the feeling. An unfortunate trait she had inherited from her extremely Norwegian grandfather. She had a difficult time accurately portraying how she was feeling when it came to negative emotions such as nervousness and anger. Supposedly in this circumstance it would be helpful. Best not let the sharks smell the blood in the water-

The second Jessamine indicated that the duel could begin, things popped off and not in the way she expected. That was a good thing, Jessamine supposed, because she couldn't see the beauty in symmetry that everyone else did. Instead, it was chaos that moved her and things had indeed gotten very chaotic on the piste. Six duellists stood before her, but only two targets emerged. However, the gods of disorder had descended, ensuring that not every spell went to its intended prey.

Taking down Avery seemed to be the goal of the Gryffindors. They sent a barrage of Knockback Jinxes his way. The snake showed his agility in dodging Noah’s, but he took Siobhan’s right in the belly. And where was the third? Not being sent at Avery after all. Mahlioz would find herself targeted after a mishap on Sere’s end. However, the witch saw the change in currents coming from a mile away and sidestepped the jinx with ease.

On the other end of the stage, Noah emerged as the target of the snakes. Avery prepared to cast the Wind Jinx, but he would find himself being blasted by a harsh gale in place of Noah. The wind would assault his body, making it much harder for him to move around. And still, he would not be the one with the least luck on the stage. Ara and Mahlioz both hit their mark. Noah would take a Knockback Jinx to the chest and a jet of flames to the face. The force of both was enough to cause the lion to topple to the floor of the piste. Jessamine waved her hands in front of herself, fanning away the heat from Mahlioz’s cast. She waited for a few moments in case Noah stirred, but Gryffindor stayed where he was, unmoving.

“At least he’s not on fire,” Jessamine snorted, then continued, “Alright, stop.” She called over the mediwizards who were standing by and once they had removed Noah from the piste, she signaled with a swing of her hand that the duel could continue.

Sere threw the Knockback Jinx at Avery, remembering that the boy was the only one whose abilities she didn't know yet. The initial intention was to see Avery's performances, but unfortunately her spell ricocheted towards Mahlioz. She hissed in dissatisfaction. At least she got a little idea about the boy's performances when she saw her other teammates -and Avery himself- casted their spells towards the Viper.

"Oh, no...."

On the last game, when she was the first to knocked out, Sere thought that it was the most embarrassing, the worst feeling that could happened. But now when she finds her third-year teammate being taken off the piste by the mediwizards, Sere realized that this feelings are worse. Her heart is pounding and breathing becomes really heavy. The Gryffindor girl gritted her teeth to suppress all the excessive feelings inside herself. There is still one more teammate, she can't let her mental down as soon as the match started.

She glanced at Siobhan and gave a small nod, "Let's go!"
