Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
Date : January 28th, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said The guilt feels so clear and thank Raizel for making it this way. Sere doesn't need to be master in reading other minds nor being one of the many feeling-type people to be able to understand her completely. "Take your time, whether short or long, as long as you feel better and come back stronger." Sere has heard, words of wisdom saying that absence makes the heart grow fonder. Maybe that words are best to describe Raizel's current situation.
"Oh, please. You have to mean your words, for real." Sere folded her arms while looking at Raizel in the eyes, "I'll wait for that moment, whenever you're ready. Leaving something -for good- without achieving what we want... It would feels so uncomfortable, isn't it?"
Leaving the Hospital Wings -the place that she will probably visit often in the future as what Raizel said-, Sere feels like she is finally breathing fresh air. Feeling the gentle breeze caressing her face, Sere tucked a strand of hair behind her right ear while opening her mouth, "As I said before, my stomach is screaming right now. I'm going down to the Great Hall. If you want to come with me, let's go grab some foods together. But if you have other thing in your mind, then I guess we're parting ways here."
Sere smiled a -very- little, meaningful smile. Her lips are about to say thank you once more to Raizel, but she had conveyed too much gratitude to the girl today, so she decided to it hold back. But really, she doesn't understand what feelings are inside herself at the moment. I didn't win, but why do I feel so satisfied?
What Sere doesn't understand is that she feels so satisfied because she has managed to gather and make up all her determination, and it is all because of, and thanks to, the conversation she held with Raizel just now.

❂《 ⌜ January 28, 2024 ▎ Some time after the duel ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔“It would but like I said, duelling is just tied to my goal. It's not everything that I want. But anyway, let's see if I get better and come back to it.” Raizel told the other girl as she took a couple of steps forward, wondering when that'll be, when she'll feel like she had at least gotten better in her spellcasting and aiming, when she'll feel like she had gotten stronger.
“You go and eat then. That'll give you strength. As for me, I'll be doing more practice somewhere.” One might say she is pushing herself too much since she had just recovered from her duel but things aren't just sitting right with her, especially after that loss, her second loss and it sure felt like a repeat of what happened during her first one. Sure, she wasn't the last one standing like before but it still felt similar considering that one of their teammates wasn't paying attention and Raizel, herself, wasn't performing well.
It ticked her off.
She just wanted to let out some steam after that and what better way than to practice some spell somewhere while trying to figure out what her next move is, find out where she had done wrong and what she could improve some more and if her previous methods aren't giving her the result that she yearns for, perhaps it was time to change tactics. Whether that'll be better or for worse shall remain a mystery.
