a new generation • threadOphelia felt a warmth in her ignite as Kiera and Viva hugged. It wasn't a jealousy, which burned hot and painful. No, this was warm and she knew that she was happy that her friend had someone so amazing as to surprise her with a birthday party with all her friends.
As Viva looked towards Ophelia and came closer, the Ravenclaw panicked for a moment. She wasn't used to people coming close. But as the birthday girl enveloped her in a one arm hug, Ophelia found herself sinking into it and hugging back. She'd grown steadily used to being hugged from her time at Hogwarts, though it still made her tense in the beginning. "Happy birthday." She whispered in her friend's ear.
As everyone began singing, with Kiera in the lead, Ophelia added her own voice to the mix. Usually, when she sang, she focused on her voice, the rises and falls, the amount of times she took in a breath and let one go, the pitch and tone of her voice. But today, when she sang Happy Birthday, none of that mattered. Instead of monitoring her voice and judging herself, she looked at Viva and all the others that had gathered there to celebrate.
At the end of the song, she grinned and added, "Hope your 12th year is amazing!" It was a saying that was said in her family for every birthday.

─────────────────────────────────────Ophelia? I know her! Quinn smiled. Minnie! Quinn realized. Quinn suddenly felt the room turn as Viva walked in. She was finally to her surprise party! Quinn was a little overwhelmed by the amount of people she knew suddenly appearing at the party.
"Happy birthday Viva!" Quinn said smiling. Quinn one armed hugged Ophelia. I am so glad to see her. Quinn thought.
"Hey Ophelia, how are you?" Quinn asked smiling at her. Quinn turned to Kaitlyn.
"I dunno, but we definetly need to sing to her!" Quinn smiled as they began to sing.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Vivaaaaaa. Happy Birthday to you!" Quinn giggled then hugged Viva for a second.
"Happy Birthday again!" Quinn didn't realize how fun a party could be. Quinn looked around.
"I'm good Minnie. How are you?" Quinn replied to Minnie. Quinn tugged on her hair for a second. Calm down, your happy and having lots of fun. Don't worry. Quinn took a deep breath then giggled. I hope that Viva is having a good time, she certainly looks happy. Quinn shuffled her feet for a second before looking back at her friends. Quinn smiled again while waiting for her friends to respond to her.────────────────────────────────
