Danielle's brother, Blaise, loved Halloween when they were younger children. He loved the decorations, the spooky stories, and getting free sweets from grandma. As Blaise got older, he used Halloween as a way to prank Danielle.

When Danielle was eight (Blaise was 9), her brother somehow convinced their grandfather to charm one of those fake skeleton Halloween decorations. Blaise and their grandfather had strategically placed the skeleton in Danielle's closet, so just before she went to grab her outfit for the day, she could get a small little scare.

Walking up the stairs from a breakfast of pumpkin waffles and fruit, Danielle was already thinking about her outfit for the day. Her grandmother was going to take her and her little sister, Charlotte, out shopping while Blaise and their grandfather hung around their estate.

As soon as Danielle reached her room, she went straight for the closet. Instead of the sight of all her clothes meeting her, she saw a floating skeleton in her closet. Danielle let out a loud shriek, slamming her closet doors shut and running back downstairs.

A tear ran down the girl's cheek at the news her father had just given her. She was no longer to see her love. To never be near him, never kiss him, never see him, again. That one tear turned into a cascade of water running down the girl's face as she ran to her room, slamming the doors shut, and sobbing into her pillow. After a while, she looked out of her window, wishing she'd see the familiar face of her love.

'I keep waiting for you, but you never come'
It had been nearly three days of not seeing her love. The girl cried herself to sleep at night, wishing that her love could be with her. Wishing that she could catch even a glance of the boy she loved from her balcony, as she watched the hustle of everyday life down in the town. On the fourth night, the girl was just about to fall asleep when she heard a tapping on her window.

The girl got up from her bed, approaching the window with caution, flinging the balcony door open once she realized it was her love. She flung her arms around him, a wide smile across her face as he hugged her back. She whispered words into his ear of how happy she was to see him, her crystal blue eyes pooling from happiness.

'He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said, "Marry me, Juliet, you'll never have to be alone...'
The girl gasped in shock as her lover knelt on one knee, grasping her hand and telling her how much he loved her from the beginning. Telling her how perfect she was in every single way he could ever think of.
