With each round, her team's situation got worse and worse. With only two of them left on the piste, hope was quickly fleeting. Her Cracker Jinx only managed to hit Julian, and before she could feel emotion about that, guess what. Her prediction had come true, which made her almost want to throw hands at something or someone. Her very own lightning had come back to strike her. Definitely a first, and she wanted it to be the last.

27th January 2024 - Afternoon

Once again, Hufflepuff would execuete the same combination. Crack, Ventus, Dodge. It would prove to be a failure in all aspects. Julians wand decided to throw a tantrum, failing to cast what was sure to be a devastating blow to the already worn down Slytherins. Emma, who now that Avery was out cast her intentions onto Pea, blew a gale and a half towards the light haired Slytherin. Pea though, was too nimble. Too quick to get anything save a stray hair out of place. EmmaLee would dodge once again. The action had proved fruitful the last round, but now it was rancid. The move was spoiled like vinegared wine. It wouldn't save her from the Slytherins attacks.

Pea as well as evading brilliantly would cast her own Wind Jinx, aiming for Julian. She would be more successful than Emma, her spell hitting Julian once again with a blast of air. Guinevere would aim a Knockback Jinx at EmmaLee. The poor Hufflepuff girl was worn down, barely making it out of this duel alive and the dodge wouldn't be enough to save her. She went down hard as the Jinx hit her. Bea called time for EmmaLee to be carried off as the winds raged around her. It seemed Slytherin didn't need a third to get ahead in this duel. Time would tell if it paid off though...

The Slytherins were slowly finding their footing again in the duel, thankfully. They got even again by getting EmmaLee out, despite her active dodge. Pea also hit her target, inflicting some good damage. they were both also able to evade Julian's cracker jinx, and things were finally starting to look good again, but time was running out from the duel.

And just like that their small advantage was gone. Unfortunately EmmaLee was not able to dodge the slytherin's spell. Emma through a Ventus at the other side but unfortunately the unsuccessful dodge would be successfully pulled off by her opponent. And with a hit to Julian it seemed like the match might not last too much longer, or at lest Emma's brain was telling her that things were not going well for their side. But there were still more rounds to be had, and Emma tried to keep herself from falling into that thought path. That would not help.

27th January 2024 - Afternoon

Was this the end for Slytherin? There was only two rounds to go including this one and as it played out, Bea lamented that it Slytherin would end it so... passively. Pea stood still, that strange affliction sometimes hit players mid duel, the crazy frenzy and adrenaline all being too much for them. She was a sitting duck for spells this round.

Bea glanced at the Hufflepuffs to see if they would attack but they had better ideas. Heal themselves. Or more specifically, heal Julian. The poor boy was crumbling under the weight of the wind and all the previous attacks. The boost to his health would do good. And good it did. Both his own, and Emmas reparifors strengthened him for Guineveres attack. Pea might have been standing still, but she wasn't going down without a fight it seemed. Her flipendo hit strong and true, but it wasn't enough to take down Julian like it had EmmaLee.

The lightening would come down, always right on time. Guinevere, present in the match would watch and miss it. Pea though...Pea would be hit with a little frizzle and smoke. It seemed even the universe was against the Snakes.

Emma took a calming breath as she did her best to focus on healing Julian. She definitely did not want to be left alone on the piste, the sole target of both Slyhterins. Especially because Guinevere was so hard to hit! She wasn't sure what luck they had on their side but it was difficult to target them. Julian released the breath as she said the correct incantation, pleased when it seemed to go well, and even more pleased when she saw one of the Slytherins get hit by the lightning. Especially as Julian was hit by the Slytherins once again.

This round was decent, Guinevere supposed. Her flipendo dealt some reasonable damage on Julian, and no dodging on the slytherin side was necessary. It was the last round now, and it would take a true miracle for the tables to turn again in their favor. Just as she thought that was bad, her own freaking lightning came down and struck Pea. Now nothing was going right. I'm so optimistic, she thought.
