Mellani tried to grab the quaffle, but the Gryffindor seemed to keep getting at it first. Mellani looked at her teammate, Koko to see how she was doing, and apparently she was not doing good. She looked like she was boiling with rage when she finally caught the quaffle and this rage was probably the reason for her low concentration when she hurled the quaffle into the ring which was easily stopped by the Gryffindor keeper.

Nevertheless, when Mellani did catch the quaffle, she passed it on to Koko because at the time, that seemed like her best shot. She realized too late that she had made a mistake and Koko was in no state of mind to be able to score properly. Unexpectedly, Koko came and apologized. Although the apology was genuine, the anger was audible enough and Mellani knew that she deserved it. She should have known how her team was doing and whether passing the quaffle would be logical. "It's okay. Try to be calm and don't be hard on yourself. I'm sorry for passing the quaffle to you when I shouldn't have", she said to the older girl, offering a small smile.

Revenge.

Three times he managed to grab the Quaffle out from under Ms. Riddle's ever-narrowing eyes. Playing the talented keeper as a forward Chaser had been a smart but risky idea that left the hoops undefended and he made sure to punish the flaw in the Slytherin strategy to the best of his ability. By now, pelting the Quaffle through unguarded hoops had become something of a recurring theme in his Quidditch career.

Ashleigh once again proved her worth by defending with aplomb and though he harbored no ill will toward Ms. Riddle, he couldn't help but smirk at the shades of red showing on her face. Nothing quite cheered him up like seeing a Slyherin's ambitions dashed to smithereens.

Apparently, the snakes held a similar view. He'd just turned around to search for the Quaffle when, out of nowhere, a blur of menacing green wearing the face of Maggie Hawkins made a beeline for him.

It was quick, but certainly not painless. He couldn't rightly tell if she kicked him or simply body-slammed him, but the result was all the same. If only he'd veered off to the side, if only he'd had both hands on the handle, if only he had looked to the side...

Weightlessness overtook him. Mercifully, he wasn't flying high up, but the fall lasted long enough to see Maggie's self-satisfied expression recede from view. A sharp whistle sounded. At least she wasn't getting away with it.

He hit the ground with a thud. All air escaped him and his body contorted in sharp, overwhelming pain. Pain that swirled and took the shape of a singular, hateful thought before his mind slipped into the abyss.

Revenge.

Ash wasn't discouraged from the last round at all, in fact it actually motivated her even more, and determined to face the Slytherin Quidditch players. And thank god that Finnegan was able to grab the first two Quaffles and scored for the Gryffindor team successfully. Ash was super proud of her own teammate, and hoped that this time she could also make her team proud. With full concentration, Ash wondered if their rivals would do the similar tactic like the last round and just as she thought, they did. Again, they passed the Quaffle to Koko but unlucky for her, Ash somehow managed to block each quaffle that was about to go through their hoop. Finally, she guarded their hoops in this round, however, the rage she saw in Koko's eyes made her slightly worried because she knew that in the next round, it would not be easy.

That wretched little ball continued to elude him. Dan was beginning to become irritated.
But, he watched with visible pride as he watched Gryffindors drop out of the sky one after another. Percival was out for blood, and he was LOVING it!

"Nice shot, Rainwood! Let's 'ave some more'a them, aye?!"

Apparently, this snitch didn't get the memo that the Falcon's Eye of the Cloud Cobras was to be present. Daring to defy him this far... Unbelievable. But, on the bright side, the Kittens' seeker wasn't any better off.
Slytherin was taking this match. It was only a matter of time.

Things weren’t really looking all that good.

That was the one thought going through Elsians head as he caught the painful sight of his teammates going down one by one. It was a short lived one however, broken by the sudden need to dive out of the painful path of a bludger on a warpath.

This time it was not so challenging, but now with more of their players down? He knew it was about to get a lot harder to avoid being hit while also keeping an eye out for the snitch.

He winced at the thought, grip tightening around his broom's handle as he looked to his surroundings.

“Damn, this sucks.” He muttered, words lost to the wind.

Since the game started, Mari had been distressed by the result, and the fact that her relationship with Gryffindor wasn't the best could have had something to do with it.

Until Slytherin started to score and Mari celebrated, but calmly, without speaking too loudly, but congratulated her companions and cast a malicious look at Gryffindor, the game was going well for Slytherin, at least speaking of the result, the A breeze hit Mari as she tried to concentrate! The end result would be Slytherin's victory or there would be a twist! I hope it stays!!

xxMaggie’s fury knew no bounds. Maybe she’d been mad at Finn before for the simple matter of being close with her best friend and also deciding that suddenly he was some Quidditch star (a title, which, for the record, she detested on him), but the three separate scores through the goalposts were enough to set off anybody. It was no secret that on the field, Maggie Hawkins was a menace. Maybe not in the scoring part, but had a slighted hand like no other, barreling into opponents in an attempt to make it look like a simple broom collision. And sure, when she body slammed Finn she might’ve kicked him in the ribs just a little bit, but any accusation of purposeful injury was simply alleged. Maggie couldn’t even find it in her to be upset when the ref yelled about a penalty lap—she knew those all too well—too busy smirking as she turned her broom to take her lap. Couldn’t very well swoon a girl from the bottom of the pitch, now, could you, Conner?

Chasers and Keepers

While Maggie waltzed around the field completing her penalty lap, the chasers of Haley and Mellani scrambled for the quaffle. They were matched in skill as the quaffle was grabbed by both of them twice with Mellani grabbing the tiebreaker. When Haley grabbed the quaffle she was easily able to toss it into the rings for ten points. Mellani, on the other hand, had to make her way around the starfished keeper Ashleigh. Perhaps Ashleigh had been holding that position for too long because she was unable to block any of Mellani’s quaffles this time around.

Seekers

The seekers who had been having trouble spotting the snitch within the falling snow were still looking. Elsian would search and search, but no spot of gold would be found. Dan, was luckily able to have his eyes catch on snitch.

Beaters

Percival sent another rapid bludger towards the struggling Gryffindor team, this one heading for their new chaser Wren. Wren must have seen the bludger coming as it hit him and immediately knocked him unconscious. The bludger continued on, eager for its next victim in starfishing Ashleigh. Perhaps if Ashleigh was not in such a position she would be able to evade the bludger, however, the bludger hit her and knocked her out as well. Percival was eliminating Gryffindor’s left and right.

The second bludger went rogue once more and headed towards the Gryffindor seeker again. Some in the crowd would start to whisper about the bludger being tampered with and that it was preventing Elsian from finding the snitch. The rogue bludger was easily evaded by the Gryffindor seeker who was being evaded by the snitch.

Koko embraced the possibility of a penalty lap as she set out to blatch Elsian. With not being able to find the snitch, a bkudger specifically targeting her, and her teammates falling left and right, Elsian was another victim of the game as she was swiftly blatched. If Wren hadn’t been hit with a bludger he would’ve been the one to save Elsian, yet he was now on the ground too. A yell of "Riddle, Penalty Lap!" was heard, but with Gryffindor losing their chances of ending the game, the penalty seemed insignificant.

All but two of the Gryffindor team was lying on the ground either knocked out or knocked off their broom. This was turning into a terrible game for the lions.

The game started to go a little better for Haley. She managed to win the quaffle twice and score 20 points for the Lions. At least 'something', but she wasn't satisfied yet. Slathering, on the other hand, scored another 30 points and was still 20 points ahead of the lions. It was all still doable, Haley just hoped that the Slytherins seeker wouldn't find the Snitch, she hoped that success would be up to her team and until then she would keep trying to give it her all, as they all did.
