The hunt
♫ Interacts with Alan Vanes ♫
Luna stopped herself before she could apologize to the Gryffindor. Apologizing wouldn't change the fact that nothing came up to her mind. What she needed to do was trying to think of a new idea, not saying those nonsense words.
Before she could say anything to him, the brown hair [Alan] had already told her another idea of his. She was a bit surprised because of him. That was fast.
"As long as you don't forget that they can change their side, alright." She was not sure they could catch Mokes with this idea, but it was worth trying, so why not? After all, the person who couldn't suggest anything was her.
....This guy knew her name. Great, she couldn't even remember where they first met. "Caught lizards?" Mumbled, she came closer to him and started to observe. Nothing much to see, and what the Gryffindor said was right, the professor had already caught them there. Maybe she should wait for Professor Griffith to answer his question first. Interrupting the Gryffindor wouldn't really help her with anything.
Just because I said you were bad does not mean that I am mean. It shows that I am honest.

The hunt
Interacting with @Elena Jones and Professor Griffith
Nico let out a deep sigh. They finally did it. They caught a Moke. She let Elena handle the 'fully' catching of the Moke. The bluehaired Slytherin slid a piece of paper underneath, to make sure the Moke doesn't flee when the hat gets turned around.
Nico carefully sat up on her knees. Her hand, slowely slid under the paper. She spread her fingers to hold it tightly. No escaping.
Like a magician, Nico flipped the secured hat with the same speed she did before. As soon as she did, she gently 'closed' the hat, gripping it tight. The paper was no longer needed and the Moke was safely caught in the tip of the hat.
'Whew. We actually did it!' She stil couldn't believe it herself. They had tried nearly everything, it took them some time but it was worth it.
She looked over her shoulder at the professor, holding the hat abit above their heads. 'Professor Griffith!' She didn't raise her voice, but loud enough for him to clearly understand her. Even though they caught a Moke, she didn't want to startle the other uncaught ones. 'We got one, sir! W-We did it!' She smiled and let out a soft giggle. She felt proud. Of herself and of Elena too. By working together, they caught a living creature, safe and swift.
Waiting for the Professors response, Nico eyed at her bag that she had left in the corner of the paddock closest to the professor. She remembered she brought her sketchbook and didn't had the time yet to carefully draw a Moke yet. 'Professor Griffith? I-Is it okey if I stay a little longer? I .. eh- I would like to sketch some Mokes if that's okey, sir.'

Okay, perhaps she had not planned this out as perfectly as she had hoped. She had overlooked one little annoying fact about these mokes. The prefect watched as the two bulges squirmed and struggled underneath her cloak before shrinking basically leaving no indication where their present location was. "Forgot that one little part.."Elena muttered to herself letting loose a frustrated sigh shooting the glance at how the other students were doing. Some had managed to catch their mokes already which only motivated her to try harder. The Gryffindor approached her own cloak as quiet as she could kneeling down and looking at it. It didn't seem like there was anything underneath it to the unsuspecting eye but she knew better."Now, how to scoop these little guys up without setting them free?"
No spell would help her here, She would simply have to be fast and efficient. The prefect had managed to snag two of them with a cloak and that in her book, was pretty fast. So, this could not bee too hard, could it? It had seemed like a pretty foolish idea at the moment and here she was feeling the aftereffect of that choice."Well, it is what it is, I guess."She muttered thinking hard before a light switched on in her head."Maybe...just maybe."Quickly, the girl scooped up several small rocks placing them around the edge of her cloak pinning it down to cut off any gaps from that side from where the mokes could escape when she lifted the cloak from her end. Procceding to do so, the girl lifts the cloak ever so slightly and thrusts her hand underneath the cloak her eyes scanning for the elusive things hoping, just hoping to secure one. Two would be awsome. one great but zero would not do in her book."C,mon..C,mon."She muttered reaching around on the grassy surface for the mokes.

The hunt
The few, underwhelming minutes she had spent outside were a distraction enough, but within the Ravenclaw remained a deep longing for more insight. She learned that mokes were green, cute, and shrank in size. But what else? What did they eat? Could they make for suitable pets? Around how many eggs did they lay in a single clutch? She kept up her respectful smile as he investigated. Perhaps those questions were better suited for next year.
Unsurprisingly, it took a moment for Griffith to find what he was looking for. She became a bit fidgety with her hands while she waited, on the chance that maybe she hadn't caught anything at all and wasted the professor's time. Eventually, the man congratulated her and Phaedra let him turn over her bag to set the reptile free. The beast scurried away and Phaedra turned back to take her bag from the man, relieved that she had finished early.
Her head lifted when he continued speaking. A prize? She had completely forgotten about that. Phaedra figured praise was a good enough reward, but she would not dismiss his offer. It probably wouldn't have been much anyway— likely candy. She wouldn't say no to that, and many of the adults seemed to have an abundant amount of it.
She ripped off her heavy gloves and stuffed them into her bag. "Alright, thanks, Professor," she replied. Not seeing the point to stay any longer, she exited the paddock to begin the trek back to the castle.THREAD LEFT

Nico flipped the hat and Elena grinned in approval, the plan was a success, the moke was caught, now to bring it to Griffith.
"We did it!" Elena echoed with a smile.
Elena wondered if she should stick around and talk to Griffith for a while. Although given this was another event, the chances were more that Griffith would act annoyed with her presence, and Elena would retreat to owl him later.
"I dare say that was one hell of a hat trick." Elena's eyes sparkled at the joke, although it wasn't the funniest joke in the world, "Who needs magic when you have a hat and a piece of paper?"

Rowan sighed softly, relaxing even more as the moke reacted positively to his touch. It didn't run away, good. He wasn't a complete failure. Rowan gently set it in his lap, leaving it with a small pile of crickets as he rolled over to the professor.
"I believe I completed your task."
He smiled as he pet the lizard gently, looking up at the male from his short chair. He really hoped it wouldn't run away now that he was over here. That would be pretty embarrassing. The constant of food and warmth should be enough to keep it there though.
Often lying, but not to you.

The hunt
@Alan Vanes came up and asked if all the creatures in the paddock were caught, which was certainly an interesting take. He pointed out that since they were in a paddock, they had been caught by him, the professor. Despite himself, Griffith felt a smile spreading wider across his face. An interesting take indeed.
"Technically speaking, I can't fault that logic. You, and your partner, have officially caught yourselves a whole paddock full of Mokes. You're free to go whenever you feel like it, but you can stay and try to get your hands on one, if you like."
It did make him wonder a bit why this boy was in Gryffindor, considering everything he had seen so far put him in hufflepuff, or maybe Ravenclaw.
@Nico Shymane had walked over to him triumphantly, declaring her team's victory over the Mokes. Griffith was still smiling when he heard that she wanted to stay and sketch. That was alright with him, they had some more time. And if anyone had questions about the creatures, they could always come and ask.
"Of course, that shouldn't be a problem. Stay for a bit and draw, if you like. And very well done, both of you."
@Elena Jangleton Dug around underneath the blanket, but the mokes were incredibly small. To small to easily feel, and her fingers kept missing the little lizards as they searched for a way out. One of the mokes eventually found one, by running down the Gryffindor's robe sleeve towards what it hoped was the way out.
@Phaedra Stavrou left, waving goodbye, a gesture he returned. He had an idea of something she might like, but wanted to verify with owls before she was actually stuck with it. One way or another, it was going to be good.
@Elena Jones had managed to catch her moke with her partner, and seemed pretty happy about it. That was extremely good. So far only one student had actually seemed disappointed in the lesson, but he had a feeling that was for other reasons. So he gave Elena a thumbs up, before stashing his hand back into his pockets. It was a pretty good day, all said and done. He had to remind himself that he couldn't get used to it, but by then it was too late. He was enjoying himself, and wasn't about to ruin the feeling until later.

Alan vanes "captured" all the mokes, with his partner, @Luna Choi.

Roll: 3. One Moke in robe, one still under cloak. And yeah, it's heavy enough to tell that it is in your robe, so you are aware of it.

Interacts with Morfran Griffith, for all of a second.
Griffith seemed relatively pleased with them, and somehow Alan had managed to finish without doing the task. He was a clever kid, so even though it was surprising it wasn’t exactly worrying.
Nico was staying to try and draw some of the mokes, that’s fine. Elena wasn’t looking for a chaperone back up to the castle, although it would’ve been nice to talk to her more. Find out which side of neutral she falls on, but not to be.
Elena waved an actually rather cheerful goodbye to the professor before leaving the enclosure and the mokes behind. The castle was where her stash of chocolate frogs was, after all.
Elena Jones has left the thread.

Interacting with Alan Vanes
That's it? Nothing else? Luna sighed, didn't know how she felt right now. Relief because they didn't have to burn anything else and making any other mess, but not really sure if they should do this. It might be unfair to others, however...
"It's my pleasure to have you as my partner." The Gryffindor was pretty good at this. Really clever, to be honest. She was pretty lucky since the person who asked her to be the partner was no one else but Alan.
"I... do not want to be rude, however, I have a question for you." Rolled her eyes, the girl continued. "What is your name? As I said before, I do not want to be rude, just want to make sure."
Just because I said you were bad does not mean that I am mean. It shows that I am honest.

Nico smiled with a slight blush. 'Thank you, sir.'
Looking over at the hat with the caught Moke, she wondered what she had to do with it. The professor didn't really tell where to put them as soon as they caught one. For the time being, Nico ran her hand through her supplybag, grabbing hold onto a rubber band. Carefully, she closed the hat, now able to use both her hands. After gently placing it down next to the professors feet, she made her way to the side of the paddock, sketchbook and pencils at the ready.
Crossing her legs, she kept a mock in her ice blue gaze. The lizard was busy doing tiny pushups as it hung out at some slightly warm rocks. Perfect timing.
As if entranced by some magic (which was really just... concentrating) Nico started to sketch away, every finished sketch coming alife, dancing on the pages. A few sketched lizards played tag, others just looked around. By this time she had gotten used to it, that they came to life and had their own little lives on the sepia colored paper.
Forgetting the world around her, she continued to admire every bit of the wonderful Moke.
