Potioneering - RecipeExplanation: I wanted to make a potion that was entirely within the ingredients of the Collectors' ability
Credits: Made using my brainCollector's Tonic
Description: This potion replenishes energy and warms the drinker from within.
Use: It is used as a cure for hypothermia as well as being used by wizards and witches who have to travel in cold places for long periods of time. The effects last for up to six hours, raising the internal temperature of the drinker more effectively and safely than a spell.
Doses per Brew: 3
Category: Physical/Mental
Delivery: Ingestion
Ingredients:
Reducio
- Three pinches of cinnamon
- A sprig of Jewelweed, harvested on a full moon
- Four measures of standard ingredient
- Two medium sized ginger roots
- Four dragonflies
- Twelve wood-lice
- Water
Recipe:
Reducio
Pre-heat water inside a standard size two cauldron to a medium heat.
Use a small knife to seperate the dragonfly wings from the bodies, taking care not to rip them.
Add the standard ingredient and stir twice, clockwise.
Add the Jewelweed and the dragonfly wings.
Heat until the mixture becomes a iridescent purple.
Grind the dragonfly bodies into a paste.
Grind the wood-lice into a powder.
Mix together the dragonfly and the wood-louse before adding them to the potion.
Increase to a high heat.
Thinly dice the ginger.
Grind the cinnamon into a powder.
Add both to the potion, before stirring five times counter clockwise, followed by four clockwise.
The potion should turn clear.
Wave wand to complete potion.

An IC item in your trunk - Solo RPExplanation: I bought Nate a broom, but I also wanted to give Es a reason to have one too.
Credits: Made using my brainEstelle was determined to try flying, even if it terrified her.
She had a broom - a Nimbus 1000 (her father's old broom) as well as some crash mats on the grass where she was practising, but even so she felt her heart begin to flutter as she held the broom. She had never quite understood how one was meant to trust a loosely-charmed piece of wood to lift them into the air and fly.
Not to say that she hadn't flown - she'd done her fair share of obligatory flying classes - but there had been a teacher present and she'd still been terrified, moving at a monumentally slow pace across the sky.
Estelle knew she'd have to get over this fear in order to discover hitherto unknown creatures living in high places, such as jungle canopies and though it was better to begin this now than right before she had to fly through the previously mentioned canopies.
She got on to her broom, her heart pounding. She trusted this one a little more than the school ones - it had never let her father down - but still the idea of flying at high speeds on it terrified her.
Slowly she rose, taking deep breaths. The pile of crash mats seemed so much smaller beneath her. She'd have to move away from them anyway, why not now?
Estelle began to, very slowly, fly in loops around the pile. Once she was sure she wasn't in any immediate danger, she began to speed up. The broom moved more smoothly than the school ones, which Es found reassuring.
She tilted into a dive to return to the ground, but found herself falling at too steep an angle, gaining unwanted speed. She tried to pull up but ended up crashing sideways into the pile of mats. She wasn't too hurt, but her newfound confidence had been wounded and she called it a day.
