At this point the storm cloud was steadily moving back and forth between the two teams, none of which seemed too keen to be hit by lightning, which was quite understandable, Opeila guessed. The fifth year had not been forced to deal with this specific spell yet, which she did not mind at all. In addition to fire, snot, fog and wind, lightning was not too appealing in addition.
And all of it just seemed to hit the Gryffindors. The cloud was heading their way again, there was a new wall of fog engulfing both Sam and Elsa and maybe the worst- Elsa's healing spell. Something happened, but certainly not what the fifth year had aimed for. Two beams of light hit both Estelle and her but did not seem to help at all. On the contrary, Estelle, who was still dealing with her own backfired spell, suddenly seemed to look a lot worse.
The light appeared so unexpectedly that Opeila had to shield her eyes as well. A little disbelieving she shook her head. Did the Ravenclaws not think that the Gryffindors were having a bad enough time without them casting every spell they could think of to make their life harder? It almost felt like a waste of time at this point, it seemed pretty clear where this duel was going.

Nicky wondered if she was not meant for duelling or it was just a streak of awful luck for her. She did not even want to continue at this point but it was too late to back out so she just kept going. She had no choice but to fight, she was a gryffindor after all.

| ⠀ | Kim shook his head, his vision not exactly clear from the exploding wizard crackers from earlier. He tried to focus long enough to get off a spell at someone. But unfortunately, the fourteen year old was too far off his game to even manage to do something simple like this. He hadn't even been able to target anyone properly, only vaguely aiming an 'Incendio Duo' at someone. Regardless of who his target had been, it didn't matter as the spell didn't even get out of the end of his wand. Kim couldn't help but glance over at the youngest, hoping she wasn't too badly hurt. She'd looked terrible earlier on. Blood still dripped from his neck and cheek. He was also bleeding from his stomach and above his elbow but those injuries weren't as easy to be noticed by others. It seemed as if Estelle had decided to go the safe route and dodge this round, which was probably for the best. But for some reason, something seemed to have gone wrong with Elsa's spell spread healing spell and Kim's lips parted. Why did it seem as if their only fifth year had damaged them instead of healing them? The answer was simple. It was because of Kim's curse. At least his vision was clearing up a bit, that was good for now. Until Sam cast a blinding light spell on them and Kim's vision returned to being non-existent. Okay, why did he even try to look at the bright side of things, pun not intended. Kim felt like he wanted to give up on this duel, because there was no chance they would win this, or come even close to winning it. This was just like the last duel they'd had together, something he'd been worried about from the beginning. He couldn't help but wonder which one was worse. It was a toss-up but he guessed it would depend on how the rest of the duel played out. A cloud of fog enveloped Elsa, courtesy of Eun-ji's spell. Sam was also enveloped in the fog too. Cassius pushed the stormcloud back over to them again. This cloud was starting to become quite an annoyance but at the same time Kim couldn't help but wonder if he should just leave it. If the lightning struck him, maybe he could get knocked out and leave this duel. No, despite the obvious loss they would suffer, Kim wouldn't make his teammates fight on without him. He'd stay there until the end, for as long as he could. He didn't feel bad for Estelle, because this was her first duel, she'd have many other chances in the future. But he felt really guilty towards Elsa. Kim felt as if he was holding her back, a feeling he didn't like. Two times in a row, Elsa had gotten him as a teammate. Two times in a row, Elsa had lost her matches. There had to be a reason for this and it was because Kim was currently cursed to make everyone's lives around him suck as long as they interacted or were around him. Lately, he was constantly wondering of what use he was. If he wasn't there, would Elsa have gotten a partner she could count on more than him? And if so, would she have been able to win last match and this match? Or at least one? Kim didn't know the answer to this now. Or would she have fared worse if she'd gotten a partner who was younger than him? Kim's thoughts suddenly turned rather morbid but he quickly tried to banish them. Her strategy may have worked if not for a failed healing spell cast by Elsa. It seemed to do more damage than it healed, taking from Estelle's already low supplies of energy. She didn't blame Elsa though, good spells were hard to cast at the best of times, let alone now.

Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor: Match 5
The start of the duel had been quite bad for the Ravenclae team, however, they were doing much better now of course, Samantha had never doubted her team. She knew they would win. After all, she was on the team. The spells of the Gryffindors this round failed horribly, while her team managed to cast all the spells they wanted. Samantha created a bright blinding light to lower the vision of the other team.

Blue in English, Red in KoreanEun-ji was quite frankly…astonished. She had never seen so many spells backfire in a duel. She had also never seen anyone fail a healing spell so badly. In fact, the witch never even considered the possibility of a healing hurting someone but clearly, it was indeed possible. It quite unfortunate. Estelle has just decided to go for a safe approach and dodge any spells coming her way this round, when Eun-ji’s team didn't plan on attacking her specifically. Even worse, her own teammate dealt damage to her in the end. Then again, Elsa was only trying to help. Who could have known the kind gesture would turn into such disaster…
The Ravenclaw heard a familiar voice casting Incendio duo and quickly forgot all her thoughts in favor of avoiding the fire. She hated that spell. Even if she wanted her friend to succeed, she was not going to let him set her ablaze. On her part, Eun-ji decided to recast the spell from their previous round. Sam seemed to be thriving in the fog and the opposing team liked to target her the most so it was a good way to hinder their efforts. She just wished the storm cloud would go away completely. It was getting tiring to constantly push it back. Even the Gryffindors seemed somewhat annoyed at this point. Although to be fair, it was their idea to cast it in the first place.
Overall, things were going well for the Ravenclaw team but Eun-ji was cautious when thinking about victory. She didn't want to jinx anything. Just keep doing your best and see what happens.

Another round, another Wind Jinx. Cassius could not refute its usefulness, especially as it allowed him to re-position the ominous storm cloud over their heads; but it was hardly exciting. Maybe next time he would try to add some sparks to the cast. Innocuous sparks but flashy. A flair of fun before the torrent of wind made the duelling stage a mess. The worst thing about it though was it messed up his hair.
Cassius glanced at his teammates, one of whom was still obscured by a thick fog. Good. Sam was still annoying him. The other, Eun-ji, looked confident. They were synergizing well. Long practices with the house duelling team were paying off. He wondered for a brief moment how his other teammates were faring in their own duels. Were they winning? Was it a rout? A disaster?
The thought only lasted a moment as Cassius re-centered his attention and mind to the only duel that mattered in that moment. Their duel. He raised his wand and prepared.

The Gryffindors' bad luck seemed to continue. Or maybe it was the Ravenclaws willingness to be violent that grew? Whatever it was, what they did now just felt extra evil. Not one or two but four exploding crackers were flung at the lions and Opeila couldn't do anything but take a step back and protect her own face. As much as it was nice to be able to cast spells at two people at once, she liked a clean attack. One that didn't make a person suffer like this.
When she finally looked again, she found one child down. "Wait, stop!", she called out, remembering a little late that it was her job to see the girl carried off stage. Opeila wasn't particularly surprise that it was the littlest lion who fell first, but she still felt sorry about it. Especially because Estelle didn't have a bad start at all. And for a second year between a bunch of fifth years, she did great.
Opeila watched Estelle being carried away, waited maybe a bit unnecessarily wrong. Gave the lions some precious seconds to breathe before she turned again. "Okay, go on!"
She had a feeling she didn't need to be a seer to know how this one would end...

| ⠀ | Kim couldn't see anything, his vision was still damaged from the earlier Lumos Maxima and the previous Cracker Jinx. Even as the light faded from the area, he still remained unable to see. Perhaps it was because his body didn't have enough nutrients in it, or he was dehydrated. Who knew. Despite this, his previous spell managed to hit its target, and although it didn't do any damage, at least it debuffed the person. Kim didn't even know anymore who he was trying to hit or what spell he was trying to get off. Did it even matter? The poor teen's injuries were still dripping blood down his body. There wasn't enough time to pay attention to others, Kim had to look out for himself first and then could think about helping his teammates. It was getting harder to focus and with his vision not quite there yet and his injuries wearing him down, things were difficult. The cut on his neck and cheek stung and throbbed, reminding him that he was alive. The stomach and elbow cuts weren't bothering him, maybe the adrenaline rush had made those injuries not hurt now. As Kim tried to focus, two sets of exploding wizard crackers came towards him. Well, fuck. Kim could tell this was the end, it was over. Eun-ji's Cracker Jinx ended up causing more injuries to him, hurting him more than Cassius's Cracker Jinx. But that was for the best, at least he was being taken out by someone who called him a friend, rather than someone who was more like a stranger to him. By now, Kim had a few cuts above his eyes, more on his cheek, lots of slices and burns on his body and blood was now streaming everywhere. It was almost morbid how he looked as if he was wearing completely red clothes now instead of the red and gold colors of Gryffindor. But it kind of was poetic. Blood happened to be one of his House colors. The dark haired teen staggered back, somehow keeping his balance. But Kim could tell he wouldn't be able to last for much longer. Maybe another few minutes. Drops of blood scattered all over the floor as he managed to stop himself and breathed heavily, trying to gather himself together. He wasn't sure why but supposed it was just instinct. Come on guys, put him out of his misery already! Still clinging to consciousness, Kim blinked, a red haze creeping over his eyes from the blood dripping down into them. A petty thought came to mind and he gripped his wand tightly, raising it upward a little tiny bit. He pointed it towards his opponents and almost smirked. | ⠀ |
