She knew that her ability with healing spell are not the best, but in time of crisis seeing Leveret in the brink of passing out she have no other choice but to use it. But her wand decided not to follow her desire and do the opposite instead as it always does. A spark came out of her wand, but instead of healing Leveret, it attacks him even more. Grunts of desperation came out of the white haired. Really? Is she really that foul that even a healing spell turn into an offensive one.

It was looking pretty bad. Out of the corner of her eye, Guin saw Pea attempt to cast Reparifors at Avery, which instead backfired and did a little damage instead. Her own cracker jinx hardly worked, only barely hitting Julian. "Oh my god," she muttered, frustrated. She was trying her best to stay locked in, despite her team's less than great situation. If they could just pull through this round and the following few, they could still have a chance at victory.

While the past round had been mostly successful this one just seemed full of disasters with spells going awry or missing altogether. Emma had to admit she found herself starting to feel a tiny bit tired and they were only halfway through the match. She was wondering if there would come a match where it did not go as long but then again that would probably be a pretty boring match she tried to reason. Stretching slightly Emma shook her arms out, working to get ready for the next round and doing her best to put the past rounds behind her.

27th January 2024 - Afternoon

Cracker, Cracker, Cracker. It was the new favourite to be sure. Bea watched as both teams pulled a Ventus and Cracker combo that she should really ban both spells from existing together. Especially when the Ventus' split and aimed for multiple targets, as did the Cracker jinxes. Bea nimbly dodged a few stray sparks herself as she watched the chaos unfold before her. Julian would cast and successfully get his spell to hit all three Slytherins. Emma would cast brilliantly cast but miss and EmmaLee, well she flung herself across the piste out of the way. She was hanging on by a thread and one well placed flipendo and she would be out cold. She was being smart in this game.

Speaking of out cold, Julian's Cracker Jinx would be the end for Mr Avery Leveret. He was lucky to get a spell out before they hit him, his Ventus splitting and targeting his attacker. The great gust of wind would miss Emma, but hit Avery's attacker as one final act of revenge. Poor Julian was buffeted.

The fireworks would finish Leveret but they were not to be outdone. His own teammate would come a' calling. Pea's wand, listening to some whimsy through the wacky wind, would fail, blasting herself and Avery with fireworks. It was like Pea just wanted to make sure Avery was out cold. Good and done for. Bea smirked. Poor, poor Avery. Guinevere would fair a little better with her own Cracker Jinx, hitting Julian with more fireworks. Bea glanced between the two teams. Avery and Julian definitely had targets on their backs. And now with Avery out... things would start to get interesting!

Once all the spells had died down, Bea called out, raising her hands to call time, "Alright! Duellist down!" She waited for Avery to be carried of the piste to receive medical attention before signaling for the remaining duellists to continue.

Emma would like to say things were heating up but honestly they had already heated up in the past few rounds. What she could say is that things were looking up for the Hufflepuff’s this round even though her spell unfortunately didn’t land. But they did manage to take down one of their opponents and do damage to the two others. Now if her spells could start landing that would be helpful.

Horrid. horrible. The horror. She have no idea what came over her but none of her spell actually did what she wanted them to do. Does she come with a case of bad luck or something? Or perhaps its just her wand that needs changing. Spell after spell, makes her wonder what is she still doing here for. But there is no time for that kind of thinking now.
