Finished A Surprise, Skates, and Super Soakers! PV Invitees Unoff. Mod

Axyen was a little shocked to be honest, he of all people got invited to a party? That was rather strange, he was getting more social and everything, but he felt as if he wasn't social enough to get invited to a party yet. Maybe it was a strange mistake? He remembered it being while he was roaming some corridor, an owl came by. Axyen was surprised as it gave Axyen a letter. 'Eh? A letter...? For me? Strange..' Axyen thought to himself, it must've been some of mistake. But the chances of an owl make a mistake like that was actually rather low. At least from his own personal experiences, but besides the point. He had to actually read the letter and see what it was about, his eyes briefly scanned the paper. He was a somewhat fast reader, so that helped him understand what this whole thing was about. Simon Kincaid, he remembered meeting Simon back at the Hufflepuff Common Room (Only viewable to Hufflepuff users) and Simon was pretty nice. Of course Axyen would attend this event. He began to walk off to his common room immediately(he forgot what he was doing prior to getting the letter) and then enter his dorm to go ahead and find an outfit. No gold, black, or blue. That seemed simple enough, he was able to show his house pride without using any of those colors. Axyen picked a grey long-sleeved shirt with a badger on it(only a white outline, darker grey filled the inside of the drawing.) Axyen picked tan cargo pants and a tan jacket. Seemed nice enough and definitely party-worthy(by Axyen's standards.) So now he had to wait for the day fo the party.

Axyen suddenly realized, he needed to get a present for Simon! Axyen tried to remember what Simon liked. "Come on, I should know this! He told me, right...?" Axyen thought and thought, pacing back and forth in his dormitory before it hit him. Potions! Simon said he liked Potions! Axyen luckily had a bit of Babbling Beverage that he brewed a while ago. Thankfully, besides pranking a professor, he had no idea what to do with the rest of them. Of course, Simon might've had some other bright ideas for these potions. Axyen got a bag, taped a piece of paper to it reading 'Babbling Beverage' and of course Axyen grabbed the two potion bottles and put them in the bag. Axyen also decided to leave a few Galleons that he had been saving up in the bag. Just for Simon's party. Axyen hoped that his gift was considerate, it did take a lot of thinking just to reflect on some of Simon's interests. Axyen looked at Arnold, his pet Pygmy Puff, Axyen would feel bad about not trying to prepare Arnold for this. "Uh Arnold, let's chat real fast." Axyen said. Some students might've found it strange that Axyen talked to his pet like that, but to Axyen, Arnold was equal to any other human out there. Arnold curiously turned to face Axyen, tilting his body up a bit. Axyen crouched a bit so he could speak to Arnold face-to-face without it being discomforting for Axyen. "So I will have to attend this party soon, so I will probably be having you sleep tomorrow." Axyen said, he wasn't sure if Arnold could understand him, it was doubtable but Arnold squeaked in response so Axyen continued. "So if you happen to somehow wake up, I will have food and water waiting for you, okay?" Axyen added, which Arnold replied with another happy squeak. Axyen pet Arnold with a smile before rising up completely again. "Alright!" Axyen said to himself with a determined voice.

Now it was February 11, today was the day of the party. Axyen got dressed in his clothes for the party, he woke up rather early just so he didn't potentially miss this. Arnold was still asleep, so Axyen left some food and water, and made sure to leave a few toys behind for Arnold to play with while Axyen was away. As soon as the time came, Axyen immediately headed for the Great Lake which was supposed to be the location of this party. Axyen was stunned to see snow in the shape of hearts just hanging from the branches, which was definitely an unforgettable sight. There were wooden logs with blankets resting on top of them, which Axyen felt it was safe to assume they were seats. There were also candles that were lit up which of course added nice details. There was also some type of table it seemed, there was lots of good food there too, which Axyen wasn't interested in right now. He did make note to be extra careful around that table as it looked like it could easily fall over. There was a fire pit that had a cauldron resting on top of it.

Axyen was excited to give his presents to Simon, hopefully Simon would like the gifts. Axyen didn't fail to notice that two other people managed to make it to the party before him, he walked up to AngelFyre. "...Hello! You're the one hosting this event, right?" Axyen asked, his tone was somewhat quiet, maybe a little hard to hear. "...I don't believe we have met, I am Axyen." Axyen added, he always thought first impressions were always important. In his hand he held the bag that of course had the sign 'Babbling Beverage' taped to it, which was Axyen's gift along with the 10 Galleons he left as well.

Bailey looked outside, and saw that it was a beautiful day. She arose with a smile, knowing that it would be a good day. Spotting her invitation to Simon's suprise birthday party lifted her spirits even more, and she was practically ecstatic as she dressed for the day. She got dressed in a casual but cute outfit: a white top, a long sleeve, with a plain white shirt underneath (for comfort and warmth), with some jeans, a pair of black boots, and her typical gold jewelry.
Slipping on a long, warm, tan trench coat, a scarf and a white hat, bailey packed her bag with all the necessities - her wand, ofc, a water bottle, a book, a notebook and pen, and her gift for Simon - a small box of baked pastries she had been sent over the winter break (the box includes a few kolacky, croissants, and an assortments of cookies, all made by bailey's family). It was a tad bit of a simple gift, but it was thoughtful, something bai thought simon would appreciate.
Included with the pastries, she included a letter for simon, which read:

dear simon,

happy 15th birthday!! i hope this upcoming year, and all the years to follow are filled with happiness, joy, and laughter!
I also hope you enjoy these pastries! My grandmother in Poland baked them, and sent an extra box for me to share with someone when they sent my Christmas presents - i hope you enjoy!

Putting her bag over her shoulder she left her dorm and headed downstairs. On her way out of the castle she decided to check the greenhouses for her best friend, Kim. The greenhouse had become a place he was frequenting more and more often, and she knew that he may not want to go to the party but that simon would appreciate it. Bai also hoped that Kim would have a good time....

Kim was in fact in the greenhouse, and bailey entered the greenhouse with a cheerful "there you are!! i was hoping i'd find you here!"
She walked over to where Kim was, and grabbed his hand. Dragging Kim behind her she left the greenhouse, saying "come on! we're going to simon's birthday party - it'll be fun!"
Bailey and Kim arrived at where they had been told to meet, and Bailey smiled at Af and Lils, and the boy that she did not recognize.
"this looks amazing! she gushed to Af, still holding onto Kim's hand. With her other hand she rummaged through her bag before pulling out Simon's gift.
Looking around, bailey spotted the small stack of presents that was growing, and she added her present to the stack.

Emma held the somewhat sloppily wrapped present to her chest, fully dressed for the winter in her house cap, some wool mittens her mother had gifted her, a short winter jacket and some cute fleece lined leggings. When she had found out the party would involve skating, she had frantically sent an owl to her mum, hoping they would arrive in time and in fact they had arrived just in time, coming in yesterday. Admittedly she preferred sitting in a window or by a fireplace in the winter and so knew she'd likely be wobbly, but still. It was a fun activity to do with the group, and after all it was Simon's birthday, not hers. She smiled as she thought of her fellow prefect, glad she could help him celebrate his birthday, thankful that Angelfyre had included her. Her skates were currently hanging around her neck, the skate guards her mum had thoughtfully included rendering the blades safe.

She arrived not too far behind some others, recognizing only a few from either the common room, or some previous interactions. Standing as she waited for Angelfyre to have a free moment, she looked around, spotting what she thought might be a place for skates to hang. That was inventive! Emma thought. Though her glance at the food table was brought to a quick halt when she realized there were s'mores making supplies. Grinning, Emma brought her attention back to Angelfyre, "Here you go, while I mean here Simon goes? I'm not great at wrapping but Mum's been trying to teach me the trick to sharp corners. Thank you for inviting me! " She waited to see what Angelfyre would do, whether take the gift or direct her to where to place it.

Spotting Bailey nearby, she waved at the girl, thinking it had been a while.

When it rained, it poured, but that was wonderful! As she was putting the final touches on the gift area, AngelFyre could not have been more pleased when she heard Lily's voice. It was then that she knew this was destined not to be a complete bust. Not that it ever would have been. Even if no one had shown up, she and Simon would have been there, and that would have been more than enough. But it would not have been enough to pull off his biggest surprise. Actually, that was going to be a surprise for everyone. No one else knew about the "planned activity" and she she did not mean ice skating.

"Lily! Hi! I am so pleased you could make it. You look absolutely beautiful, but are you going to be warm enough? and AngelFyre laughed. "Sorry. Did not mean to sound motherly. But really, you do look beautiful." Smiling widely, she accepted the gift Lily had brought for Simon and was about to go and set it down when Emiline walked up to the two.

"Oh, Emiline. I am pleased, and I know Simon will be as well, to have you here. Thank you so much for coming,". She smiled at the beautiful brunette and reached out her hand to take the offered gift. "Here, I can take that from you, if you wish," and she positioned the gift next to Lily's in her arm. "I had just two minutes ago finished putting together a makeshift area for gifts. I have been so busy lately that I completely forgot to tell everyone that no gifts were necessary, but thank you both. This was very sweet of you," and she raised her arm holding the gifts and quickly turned to go set them down.

When she got back, she heard Emiline introducing herself to Lily. "Lily McCoire, this is Emiline Hunter. Emiline Hunter, this is Lily McCoire, a sweet but sometimes... okay, who am I kidding here... oftentimes... troublesome lass." AngelFyre laughed easily and then admonished Emiline, in a feigned, overly dramatic fashion, "Do not let Lily's winning smile beguile you, Emiline, taking you down a path that only leads to corruption and detention,"and she just grinned.

She was about to say more when a young man she did not know, but had seen often enough in their Common room, approached. "Excuse me ladies, another guest has arrived," and AngelFyre headed off to greet him, but called back over her shoulder to Lily and Emiline, "Worry not, Emiline. Lily really does have a heart of gold. I leave you in good hands."

Then turning her attention fully to the newest arrival, AngelFyre listened as he introduced himself. "Yes, I am indeed hosting this event. I am AngelFyre, well AngelFyre McCubbin, but please call me AF. It is so nice to officially meet you, Axyen. I have seen you in the Common Room, of course, and Simon has spoken to me about you. That boy tries to make it his mission in life to get to know everyone at school, but most especially the Hufflepuffs," and she smiled warmly at Axyen.

"I see you brought a gift. That is sweet of you. Would you like me to set it with the others?" she asked as she looked in the direction of the gift area. Then, motioning her hand a in a sort of sweeping manner, she offered, "There is plenty of hot food and warm beverages, so if you feel at all hungry or thirsty, as I know it is lunchtime, do not hesitate to help yourself."

AngelFyre had been speaking as she had casually started walking back towards Lily and Emiline. "Please allow me to introduce you to two others here, and my apologies beforehand if you already know one or both of them." Clearing her throat just slightly, she drew closer to Emiline and Lily, "Ladies, I would like you to meet Axyen Dragonclaw. He is a Hufflepuff. Perhaps you already know Emiline, Axyen?" and she attempted to direct his attention to the young badger. "Axyen, I would like you to meet Emiline Hunter, who, like us, is also a member of the house of the loyal. And next to her is Lily McCoire, a Gryffindor with hair as red as her house colors." She looked at all three and smiled.

"I just mentioned a few moments ago to Axyen that there is a ton of hot food and hot beverages at various stations around this area, so please, feel free to help yourselves to any of it at any point. I know it is lunchtime, or just a little after, so please nibble, munch, or pig out if you feel so inclined. This is a no judgment zone!"

And just then she heard what sounded like two sets of footsteps crunching the snow beneath their boots as they rounded the tree on the slender path and AngelFyre gleefully rushed over to welcome Bailey and Kim. Bailey looked lovely, as always, and Kim looked low-energy, but not as always, just as always this year. She was worried about him. Truly. But this was a day for happiness and celebration, and maybe that might help bring him out of his doldrums.

"Bailey! Kim! I am so happy to see you both," and she meant it. She figured Kim did not come on his own, but was probably dragged here, but no matter. He was here. They both were. "I have no clue what was in that box you just set down, Bailey, but boy oh boy did it smell delicious," and she grinned at the two. "Have you two been baking? Simon will be so appreciative," and her eyes crinkled a bit as her smile grew wider.

Looking to Kim, she wanted to specifically try to put him at ease. "I have a sweet and savory fondue station set up over there, if you are interested. I know it looks like something from a Dr. Seuss book, but the school elves assured me the station is completely safe and stable. The sweet fondues are dark, milk, and white chocolate, salted caramel, and Christmas bark. And there are a wide variety of fruits and nuts and donuts and cronuts and just about anything you can imagine over there to dip them into. I am especially anxious to hear what you two think about it since I consider you to be Hogwarts' culinary experts."

Honestly, she was not fibbing. She had put a lot of thought into what would be tasty and fun while playing around in wintry weather, and a fondue station sounded like just the ticket, but she would know if she hit her mark or not by their reaction. None of the food, really, was for Simon, per se, as the boy was just not into it much. But guests might be and she knew he would more than appreciate her effort.

"Seriously, let me know what you think... and be honest. If you will excuse me, someone else is now arriving. I know you know Lily, so maybe she can introduce you around, if there is anyone here the blonde social butterfly named Bailey Glade actually does not know, and assuming you even want to mingle. Fact: not mingling is acceptable, too. Either way, I am glad you are both here," and she hurried off to greet another pretty redhead.

AngelFyre knew the girl had to be Linda Ramirez. She was the only one on the guest list left that AngelFyre did not know, that was a female anyway. By the time AngelFyre had reached her, Linda had made her way over to the group with Lily and Emiline and introduced herself. "Welcome, Linda. It is so nice to finally get to meet you. Simon has told me of you and of one particularly interesting trip into Hogsmeade last autumn," and she laughed lightly remembering how he proudly referred to himself as Linda's Fairy Godprefect. So cute.

"I am AngelFyre, but please call me AF. Almost everyone does. Simon will be so pleased that you were able to come. Please help yourself to any food or beverages when the mood hits you. This is going to be a very casual kind of event, so do not feel like you need to wait for me or for Simon if you are hungry or thirsty now." Looking around the group she added, "That goes for all of you. "

Just then, out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of Emma. "Yay, Emma! I am tickled pink you came. I was thinking when I made up the gust list that you and I really should carve out more time to spend together. I have missed my duelling partner this year, pillow fights nothwithstanding," she said honestly. When she thought back on her duelling days, Emma was probably the happiest memory that came to her mind. Then AngelFyre caught sight of the safety blade covers on Emma's skates, which were hanging around her neck, and briefly wondered where her own blade coverings had disappeared to long ago. "You can keep wearing that heavy necklace, which is really quite stunning actually - Tiffany's is it?" she teased, "or you can hang them up over there if that would be easier on your neck," and AngelFyre hitched her neck to the side where the ladder tripod stood, holding her own pair of skates.

As she accepted the gift Emma had brought for Simon, she could not help but smile at her friend's confession. "Oh, pfffft. That is no worry at all," she chuckled as she turned to set it down with the others. "You know Simon. He will not even give that a second third, or 15th thought. But, if you want, I can maybe show you some ideas on wrapping. My mother is the gift wrapping queen. Maybe her technique will be a little different and resonate more with you. You just never know."

Looking around at everyone as they were talking and munching, she grinned and hoped that her boy would be pleased. She knew she was.

"Simon should be along shortly. Eat. Mingle. Sit by the fire pit if you wish. I am going to leave you all for a few minutes and head up the path a bit to meet Simon. It just now occurred to me that he should probably not walk into his surprise party alone. Be back in a few," and with that, AngelFyre grabbed a mug of hot cocoa and headed up the path to wait for her second half.

Charlie had received a mysterious and fairly vague invitation to one of her friends' birthday parties. Normally, she would have fully decided if she was attending based on what they would be doing there, but the invite didn’t even mention that. Oh, and it was sent by AngelFyre, Simon’s girlfriend. In the past Charlie had been mad at her for a chaotic time at a school event, and she had stormed out. Charlie totally would have skipped the party, but since it would be taking place at the lake, Charlie could easily bail out and go for a walk. Her curiosity got the best of her, and she just had to go.

Making her way out of the castle doors and into the cold chilly air, she swung her pair of skates over her back. She envisioned the party as a couple tables set up with snacks away from the edge of the frozen lake. Since they wouldn’t be near the lake Charlie felt as if she could leave and go for a skate which she hadn’t done in quite some time. Along with her skates, Charlie had her favorite hockey stick, an American one, which was already taped with dirty white tape. In her small backpack, she had four hockey pucks, her navy blue hockey gloves and a fresh roll of hockey tape just in case.

As she got closer to the group of a couple people who were there, she was shocked when she saw the pile of skates neatly stacked, ready to use. Of course. she thought. This was Simon. He liked hockey. Charlie wandered into the party, waving at AngelFyre, with a fake smile. She noticed that Simon hadn’t arrived yet, which left her with nothing left to do besides raid the snack table. Charlie piled the small plate higher and higher with her favorites of the snacks on the table. She had leaned her hockey stick and bag up against a nearby tree, which had snow hearts on it, keeping a close eye on it. After eating, and hopefully chatting with Simon or someone else she knew, Charlie planned to go for a skate and do some hockey drills.

Today, was Simon's birthday party. I had met the prefect in a interesting way, lets just say. Not going into more details on that. On the invitation it said that it was going to be at the Great Lake. A Ice Skating Party, which was going to be a bit of a problem for me. I had never skated before in my 11 long years of life. Anyways, my gift was a big box of Chocolate frogs with a handmade gift card by me. I didn't really know what to get him as I had just met him once. From my experience sweets should always be a ok gift.

Afternoon came and it was time, I ran down the stairs excited for the party. I had a pretty busy weekend with unofficial Quidditch match and I was looking forward to some fun recreational time at the party. Homework had been done this morning, there's nothing holding me back from a great time. When I arrived, there were a few people there already. I looked around for Angelfyre and couldn't find her anywhere. Guess I'll just let myself in. Plopping my gift in the gift area. I helped myself to some of the snacks and drinks before settling down with the other students invited.
"Hi, how is everyone? My name is Alejandro, I'm a first year.
