It was a cloudy day with snow slowly falling from the sky. The flakes were huge and started to cover everything in sight within the matter of minutes. Argahlon was already outside with Wren Mornstern within the courtyard. The water froze from winter taking over Hogwarts, but students still came to that very location just to get away from certain things in life. Argahlon himself always met Wren out at the courtyard between classes and it didn’t matter if it was raining, snowing, or sun shining. He always stood out and waited for her just to see how things were going.
Luckily, the young Gryffindor didn’t have to wait long because Wren appeared from around the corner of the courtyard. Of course, Argahlon’s eyes would light up when he saw her, smiling wide in the process. He started walking forward to meet Wren halfway. "Oi, there she is. How is my Wren doing today?"He asked, inching forward to close the distance. Something didn’t seem right and Argahlon could tell right away, but he remained quiet about it until he felt the time was right. There was no need to pry information from someone who seemed a bit upset.
As the snow continued to fall gently from the clouds above, Argahlon grabbed Wren’s hand softly, and began to back up to where he originally was, which was perched up on the stone ledge that surrounded the fountain of the courtyard. "Is something bothering you?" Arg asked curiously, while leaning back on the stone ledge once more. Whatever was going on it seemed to be something that Argahlon wasn’t involved with. Either way, he was going to worry because that is just who he was.

It had been a rough week more like a rough month . She hadn't really been herself lately after the whole Christmas thing. She rounded the corner and was instantly filled with happiness at the sight of Argahlon. She practically started sprinting towards him when he called out for her. When she reached him she flung her arms around him and hugged him tight. After a few seconds she released him and stepped back to admire him. "I'm fine'' she lied not meeting his eyes. "How are you?'' she asked making eye contact with him again.
She smiled as he took her hand and led her over to the fountain. When they reached it she hopped up to sit on the fountain ledge so she was more Arghalon's height. There was silence between them for a couple moments just enjoying each other's company. Arghalon finally spoke and asked if everything was ok. She was caught off guard, had she been that obvious? She looked up at him and smiled softly before leaning into him and sighed. "Christmas was a complete shit show, the entire family is crazy I swear.'' She exclaimed fully relaxing her weight onto him. "I don't even wanna go home for the summer unless something somehow changes'' she sighed again. And then someone she didn't want to see entered the courtyard "Speak of the devil'' she muttered under her breath hoping that Arghalon didn't hear her.
It's good to stir up a little trouble in the family!

Lucian was on a mission. He was out to find his "sister", the stinkin' Gryffindor he has to call blood. He had been meaning to talk to her for ages but with the storm that cooked up after the reveal and coming back to Hogwarts, it had not exactly been a priority of his.
He hated how much she didn’t know how to control herself. How to filter. Wren reminded him of Alaric, really. How they acted, how they lived in the world. He wondered if perhaps Wren and Alaric… had similar brains? Luci wasn’t a scientist he wasn’t a mediwizard, but Wren and Alaric were different to how Lucian and Baxter were for example. But they were the same.
Almost.
To his luck, he found her. She was outside with another boy, while Lucian had never interacted with this boy, that he could remember, he could tell the ginger lad was also a second year. "Wren, I want— I need to talk to you," he stated. He wanted to talk to her about what the hell happened at his grandads, and that she really knows the significance of keeping quiet about his condition. "Who’s this? You know what, it doesn’t matter. Just, please, I need to talk to you," he said, going to pull her to him gently. They couldn’t talk here, it was too open; what if someone overheard them talking about Werewolves? Why should commoners be able to hear the private life of the Mornsterns?

Argahlon knew right away something was wrong when Wren said she was fine. It was not only in their eyes but the words she spoke as well. Not nearly as confident as usual, or upbeat and that was a bit concerning for the young Gryffindor. Wren was always so chipper and full of happiness, at least around Argahlon she was, so this was out of the ordinary for him. Even with the stress of classes and sports, this was the worst that Arg has seen from Wren. Something was wrong and he wasn’t going to have it.
When she began to explain Christmas break, that was when Arg began to start putting things together. It had nothing to do with him, or Hogwarts for that matter. Family drama was never any fun and Wren never really mentioned much about their family. Was there a reason? A secret? Arg had no idea and didn’t plan to pry because that could make things worse. That was the last thing he wanted to do because this was just not sitting right for him. Then, she spoke again and another boy rounded the corner.
As Argahlon glanced over his shoulder to see who Wren was talking about, a dark haired boy approached them both, but he seemed to be speaking to Wren with demands. Arg turned completely and stepped forward. "Oi, dorcus. Whatever you have to say to her, you can say it with me here. I think she has already had a rough day." He spoke up, not caring who the hell he was talking to.

Wren narrowed her eyes as she watched Lucian approach them. When Lucian finally stood in front of the pair he began to ramble about how he wanted to speak to her alone before she had a chance to speak up Argahlon had already opened his mouth. "It's ok Arg'' she said squeezing his hand and offering him a gentle smile. She then turned her attention back to Lucian.
"Oh so now you want to talk to me, I thought I was just an embarrassment to the family but here you are wanting to talk '' she remarked not pleased in the slightest. It had been a terrible Christmas and all she wanted to do now was hang out with the one person that made her happy. She should have known better than that. "Why can't you just leave me be'' she cried for the first in a long time. "I hate you and I hate your family, I had a terrible time at home and now you wanna bother me here too.'' she sniffled trying to wipe some of the tears away. "Just leave I don't wanna talk to you, not now not ever.'' she said as the tears turned to anger.
