Mentioning:The cool winter air pulled on Beatrice‘s skin and she took one last look at the Station before boarding the train. Outside of the windows, heavy snow was falling and covering the ground and plants to send them into their winter slumber. This weather had been going on for weeks but Beatrice was most definitely not complaining. She loved the look of snow covered trees and steaming hot beverages inside a cozy room. Home would be just that. The Dupont estate covered in meters of snow, candles burning in every window, fires cracking in the fire places, a large Christmas tree in the foyer that goes up into the staircase and reaches the ceiling in the last floor of the Manor and several others decorating the majority of rooms. There would be a large Christmas feast, family and guests and of course as every year: attending Balls and Events. Pure bloods knew how to party and they never did it small. This meant Ball gowns, showing off and compliments.
With that in mind and a slight smirk, Beatrice slid open the door to one of the free compartments on the train and let Adelaide go in first. The grey-ish cat immediately jumped up onto one of the benches and cuddled into the cushions, leaving space for her owner by the Window. Beatrice stored her satchel in the luggage area, before finally sitting down and smoothing over her pants. Today was not any different from other days and a proper outfit was required, even for a train ride that lasted the majority of the day. The train started rolling and Beatrice wondered if there’d be anyone joining her. To be honest, she was not sure which of her friends would be traveling home for the holidays. Many students stayed at Hogwarts over Christmas, enjoying the peace and quiet. She understood very well why someone would do that.
As the landscapes rushed by outside of the window and the chattering from other compartments could be heard silently, the year kind of started passing by Beatrice’s eyes. For others it must have looked like she was just blankly staring out the window but the ones who looked closely, could see that the second year was looking into something much deeper than the woods that the train was passing through. Balls, disasters, birthdays, classes, days spend with friends and the summer started flying by, mixed into the tall green and white trees. Beatrice sat back comfortably, settling for a long train ride. Perhaps she would take her book out later, for now she just enjoyed the silence.

The time has come for Hogwarts students to return back to their homes for Christmas. In all honesty, Atlas missed his family. Not that attending Hogwarts kept him from thinking about returning home or his parents, but he missed his mother's cooking, his dad's daily jokes, and the quality time he spent with his parents. He was really looking forward to meet them. There was a lot to experience at Hogwarts, yet the fresh start was not overwhelming, everyday was an adventure.
Today, the young Slytherin boy would be seen wearing different clothing, unlike other days, he would spend most of his time wearing school robes. Today, he wore a white shirt, black pants, and white sneakers—he looked great in what he was wearing. He had a good appearance given the attire. Not to mention his glistening Prefect badge attached on his shirt. Yes, Atlas was the newly Slytherin Prefect. Being the baby Prefect was exciting, but it was also a scary position to be in. Atlas didn't really know many people, so he was given the chance to make sure he caught those who stayed out beyond curfew and all the responsibilities that came with the position.
For a split second, he wondered what his grandmother and parents would think of him being the youngest Prefect. He was certain that they would be delighted and that his mother would constantly admonish him about being mature and whatnot—and not clumsy like he was at his wizarding school. Was the Slytherin prefect mentally prepared? Nope, he was not. However, everything has its first time, so Atlas saw this as a kind of adventure.
As he entered the compartment he couldn't help notice someone in it. "Hello there," he greeted in a polite manner and smiled. With his smile spreading, he said, "I hope it's okay if I sit with you?" Meeting new people was always exciting for Atlas, and the girl in the compartment didn't seem like an unpleasant person. Furthermore, he saw a cat which he assumed it was hers—and he immediately became enamored with its sweetness. "Aww, so cute!"────────────────────────────────

Mentioning: @Fang Hui-YingBeatrice's thoughts were interrupted by the silent sound of the compartment door sliding open. A breath escaped through her lips, her eyes still focused on the landscapes outside of the train. They were passing by snowy trees and grand fields, going as far as one could look. The light footsteps of someone walking in rang in her ears as her hand found Adelaide, who was still peacefully sleeping beside her. She had hoped there would be more time before someone came to sit in this very compartment. When she heard a hello, Beatrice turned her head to look at the intruder. It was a boy, younger than her. He had dark hair and somewhat blue eyes. Beatrice recognized him. He had been between the sea of first years this September and was sorted into Slytherin. He had also been announced perfect not too long ago, wich the shining pin on his chest reflected. This meant he was doing well at Hogwarts, otherwise he wouldn't have become prefect. Beatrice's eyes tightened slightly as she judged his appearance, behavior and outfit. Then she cleared her throat and met his eyes.
„Hello,” she greeted him and placed a small smile on her lips. „Yes, you may sit.” her own prefect pin was stored safely in the pocket of her coat, along with her wand. She had not seen the need to put it on yet, not when she had helped one of the first years finding his Jumper in the common room and not when she had left to board the train. She knew her parents were going to want to see it when she got off the train, which was why she was waiting for when they were closer to Platform 9 ¾. During that, she would still fulfill her duties if someone did ask for a prefect but for now she was just a second year Slytherin on her way home. Would the boy know that she was also a perfect? He should know, they were both in Slytherin and even though he was a first year, he should definitely know some names.
„So,” Beatrice started and moved a little in her seat so Adelaide could lay her head on Beatrice's leg. „You are the new prefect I see.” Her eyes searched for emotion in his face, dropping to the pin before going back up. „Do you know who you took over for?” Beatrice did know who he took over for and she wasn't quite sure he would be as good of a fit as that person. Her judging gaze followed his every movement. She was not being unkind or mean, however she was being distant. Her elegance and grace leaked out of her every move, you could see with what Standards she had been brought up. Beatrice was trying to see if that was the case for this boy too. She didn't really have friends that were not brought up in similar families such as her. Fang Hui-Ying for example was a muggleborn but her family was similarly rich and you could see that in her every movement too. When you grew up in a family such as theirs, you were taught to be perfect. Had he been taught to be the same, or was he less?
