I groaned in frustration. WHERE WAS SHE? Not again... "Argentum?!!" I called out, "Where are you? Here kitty! Come here! I have food!!" I sighed as I heard no response. No meow. Nothing. She was lost. Dang it. It was my second year at Hogwarts and my first with my extremely naughty cat Argentum. I had gotten Argentum over the summer to remind me of Aurum my dog when I went to Hogwarts. I missed Aurum but now I had Argentum. I smiled bu then my face fell. I needed to find her. "ARGENTUM!" I yelled. People turned to stare at me. I ducked my head. I didn't need that attention and everyone staring at me. Why did she have to do this to me? I started to search. First by the bushes, some of Argentum's previous hiding places. "Oh Genie! Argentum!! Where are you?!" I called. Genie was my nickname for Argentum because I had wished for a cat that would be like my dog Aurum and I got her! I kept on searching. No sign of her. At all. This would be quite a while. Why did she have to disappear on me? I just had to hope she was okay and that someone had found her. Someone nice. And that someone would return her to me. That's why I had put a little tag on her. She kept on getting lost. But then found. And I hoped that would happen today as well. |

Others: BoldAstra was sitting under a tree when she heard a calm meow from above her. She looked up from the book she had been reading and was surprised to see a little cat. It has one paw draped lazily off the branch, occasionally swinging at a leaf. "Hello there," the girl said. The cat meowed back at her. "You stuck?" The animal did have a collar, and would've obviously been somebody's even if it didn't, but Astra herself was the only person in this specific area.
The cat meowed again, standing on the branch and stretching before practically running down the tree. It gave Astra a look as it walked off the momentum as if to say "As if you could help me." The cat proceeded to paw at one of Astra's curls.
"You like my hair, huh?" she said, tapping the Bengal's nose. Her, for Astra could now determine the cat was a female, little tongue darter out and caught Astra's finger pad. The Slytherin girl smiled and closed her book. The car got a little excited, her tail twitching as she stepped back from Astra. "Where's your human pal, girl?" Astra asked as she stood, bending down to slowly scoop the cat up. The Bengal resisted a little, wriggling out of Astra's grip.
Suddenly, her ears turned towards the castle. Astra listened while keeping her eyes on the cat. A voice in the distance... Are they saying Argentum? A word Astra couldn't make out, then Argentum again. The girl kneeled down and gently looked at the Bengal's collar. Sure enough, it read Argentum on the tag.
Astra straightened and called as loudly as she could, "Over here! Your cat it by the trees, just follow my voice!"

I sat down on a bench exhausted from my search of Argentum or Genie. I sighed. I picked at my nails until I heard a noise. I sat up. A voice. "Over here! Your cat it by the trees, just follow my voice!" the voice said. Was she talking to me? Well I guess there was only one way to find out. Follow the voice. But what if it led me to a place that was like forbidden? It could be one of those evil trickster people who were trying to get me in trouble. No. The voice sounded genuine. And plus, there was no possible way I could find this cat at the moment without this person's help. So I decided to do it. "OK!" I yelled back as loud as I could, this time not caring if people turned to stare at me. I followed the sound of where I first heard her voice. Then I stopped. Should I go right or left? Ughhh. I didn't want to get lost. So I decided to yell again. "CAN YOU YELL SOMETHING AGAIN?! I DON'T KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO ANYMORE!" And I waited until I heard her voice again so I would make sure I was going the right way. I just hoped this was not some kind of trick and that I would find my cat in the end. |
