Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw: Match 2
Callies theories on why she had such bad luck were continuing to reach new heights. Now instead of all of this being revenge from a whale it was all down to a jilted ex wife or a rival gang boss. The possibilities were endless. Truly, she must’ve done something sinister to have luck this bad. Although verbally? Callie was having trouble saying anything right now.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw: Match 2
Alan grinned when once more his spell kept up with being a success as the binds wrapped around Callie once more, just when she had found the strength to escape her old bindings. "Hope you won't hold this against me in the future, but all is fair in a duel, right?" he asked before glancing over at his own team mates, Galton who was now the captain of the team and grinned even more. "We should ensure your first duel as official captain is a win after all!" That his own first duel as captain was a loss, he kept quiet, motivated not to give a repeat of that incident. "Evelynn, are you holding up alright?"

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw: Match 2
Finally. It only took until well into the match, but a spell had finally landed its mark. What was more, Evelynn yet remained unscathed—apart from her pride, at least. The impact on her self-confidence could be seen in the way her back straightened and shoulders squared. A faint smile almost dared to show itself in place of the growling scowl that had taken hold. Almost. Despite her own difficulties, she wasn't blind to the fact that Lansdale had been targeted. Stormy eyes glanced in his direction, a shadow of concern reflected in them. It was one thing for them to have the edge now, but if he were to succumb to the battering, the tides could quickly shift. A sentiment only intensified by the harrowing thunder rolling above like the march of approaching doom. Paying it little mind, however, she set her sights forward again. As her senior, Evelynn was confident Lansdale would be able to manage himself. "I'm fine," she answered Vanes, failing to elaborate, her words more mechanical than warmly reassuring.Action: As strategized

Things had been looking somewhat dire for the Ravenclaw team, with Callie out of commission, and while the next round of spells did nothing to help her situation, Dealla managed to produce three separate bolts of wind, two of which would find their target, keeping Galton in his current predicament and newly comprimising Evelynn's ability to move freely. Julian was doubly impressed that the spell had managed to hit Galton, considering the boy had anticipated being targeted and produced a shield that Dealla's spell summarily ignored. Pericles seemed like he was attempting a similar feat, but his wand refused to cooperate and the spell fizzled out before the wind could form.
On the Gryffindor side of things, Alan used Reparifors on Galton, no doubt trying to help reinvigorate his teammate, who had taken quite the beating over the last couple of minutes, while Evelynn once more pushed the storm cloud towards the other team. For how long it had persisted, Julian was quite shocked (though pleased) that no one had been zapped yet.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw: Match 2
"You are all being so quiet now, the seventh year commented as he grimaced when Dealla actually managed to make two hits. At least he had done a little bit to help out Galton this round, perhaps they were not doomed just yet. However he was hoping to not take many more hits now as this would risk them a possible win. "You guys should try not getting hit," he advised, almost jokingly in an attempt to raise morale and focus back on the trio of Ravenclaws. "We clearly got this," he added, determined.

Warm satisfaction flooded Dee's veins as she actually - finally - managed to land a hit. Not one, but two; despite the shield that Galton had thrown up to protect himself. It wasn't quite enough to say that she'd turned the situation around, but at least it didn't look quite as bleak anymore... despite the cloud once again darkening the air above them. She rolled her shoulders, sighing. Today was definitely not her best showing, but perhaps she could at least keep it from being her worst.

There came that familiar strain as Pericles tried to split his spell. Magic manifested with willpower, a combination of focus and energy, incantation and intention. Maybe that was why his Ventus produced little more than an offensive belch from the end of his wand: he was wearing out. At least Dee pulled off an impressive spread herself, and Callie was braced to be fast on her feet, though that storm they'd been ping-ponging back and forth was overhead again. Pericles only gave it a weary look. Some of the rigidity left his posture as he caught his breath and raked his fingers through his hair, trying to dispel the haze from his head.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw: Match 2
Something was terribly wrong today. Galton’s feet were not working. No matter how he tried to move, it just did not translate into the actions he needed to be able to avoid spells. Normally, there was a certain credit to be given to the opposing duelists to explain Galton’s failure, but this felt like something that the teen couldn’t just pass off as opponent skill. He had ownership of these blunders.
“Ah Alan - what a great idea - the wind in my face just feels so good though!” He’d yell over to his partner.

Callie was in a world of her own for lack of a better word. Why? Well, it was far easier to reside in that particular delusion rather than whatever this duel was. That delusion had bagels whilst the duel had bad luck and generally irritating outcomes. It was a no brainer! Besides, bagels were always worth thinking about…

Karma certainly wasn't pulling punches, it seemed. No sooner had Evelynn landed a tidy hit than did she herself fall victim to the very same. And fall she did. With her focus perhaps a touch too narrowed upon her quarry, the unexpected gust took her entirely off guard. Knee hit ground with a crack dampened only by the thin later of her robe, a hand slapping gracelessly down right after. Pride was quickly swept away by the grimace on her countenance, one of embarrassment, pain, and inner scolding. She didn't stay on the ground long, though, a spell already on her lips as she rose to her feet.Action: As strategized
