Okay, so I’ve been talking about this a lot, but my crush is pan. Pan, but most of her friends at her school have been pressuring her to look into more guys. So now she’s saying that she broke up with her girlfriend, and has a crush on two guys, one of which is absolutely terrible to her. I confessed, I don’t think she understood it (or maybe she’s wasnt paying attention to OOC stuff)...
Also, I feel as if I have to be secretive around my parents, because my mom can be a little homophobic at her worst, and I don’t know about my father. My aunt is lesbian, and my mom has... well, she hasn’t said anything rude, but whenever LGBT+ stuff comes up she always acts sort of disdainfully. So I don’t want to come out to my parents. I’m pretty sure I’m either bi or pan, probably pan, but I’m not positive. And then my crush, who is gender fluid and pan, is starting to set her sights only on males... ugh. I just feel terrible about it all. Especially since at my school there are hardly any LBGT+ people. (There are at her school. Another reason I want to go there instead.) I’m sorry if this was rant-like or anything; I just needed to vent and this was the only place I could find. Has anyone else gone through something similar? Not trying to sound nosy; I just feel like we could all have extra support for each other.

Your welcome to share Koko, this is the right place because there will probably be someone who is going through the same thing as you. Don’t ever feel like we don’t want you to speak up, because we do want to hear what you have to say!

Hi Koko, I’m actually going through a similar situation. My crush is pan, and he’s dating more girls at the moment and people are attacking him like “Oh, you aren’t manly if you date boys,” and stuff like that. I feel so bad for him. I’m gay, but nobody knows that, and my father is really homophobic.Koko Riddle wrote: 9 Feb 2019, 14:41 Okay, so I’ve been talking about this a lot, but my crush is pan. I'm not going through something too similar to this but my boyfriend just broke up with me because of my really homophobic peers at school and such. They were bullying him severely and kept using the F slur to him and calling him gay (He's a pan boyo) and he thought he would scare me away. I asked him if he knew that I would protect him if he had told me and he said yeah then ghosted me. I dunno not the same as homophobic parents but I have to be secretive at school.Koko Riddle wrote: Okay, so I’ve been talking about this a lot, but my crush is pan. For the two boys, if one of them is terrible to her, then you should point that out. After all, I’m guessing you want what’s best for them. If she says she thinks otherwise, hey, at least she might look out for the bad signs more.Koko Riddle wrote: Okay, so I’ve been talking about this a lot, but my crush is pan. And now your parents. Well, I can’t really say much here. I’m lucky to have a loving family. I still haven’t told my siblings, mainly because they find the concept of being gay as a joke of sorts (it’s hard to describe). If you haven’t already, I suggest you tell your aunt. She would probably be the best place to start since she’s gone through this herself. Im also here if you need to vent to someone. I always like trying to help people.
My experience hasn’t really been like this. I’ve had like 2-3 crushes (I’m not sure if one of them was a real crush, or me being desperate. If anyone who knows me reads this, I never told anyone about this crush so yeah.) none of them liked which is fine I guess. Two of the three were.. interesting people..... I don’t know, my ‘love life’ is weird. Luckily I won’t have to see them again soon!
MAN that was long. Hope this helped a bit and I wasn’t just rambling a lot. Knowing me, I was probably just rambling a lot.

I don’t think it was rambling! I’m just going to clarify that I do have a loving family, but my mother can be very opinionated... and she’s really against LGBT.
My father would probably either be fine with it or he would pretend to forget. About the boys, I have pointed it out to her and she knows what I think. It’s up to her to decide if she still likes the one. Poor you about your weird love life. My last crush (and boyfriend) went fine until the end and I don’t even know what happened there. We couldn’t talk for a few months and them I have him in a few of my classes and now life is awkward.
@Miko Limof, I can empathize with the school situation. Whenever I talk about my crush, I use the “them” pronouns so that I don’t get ridiculed because people can be terrible.. Anyways, I hope it gets better. Just know you have people who support you and can help you!
@Alex Cheong, good luck with your father. Every once in a while I hint to my mother, but she never takes the hint because she goes on a rant about why being lesbian, gay, bi, trans, gender fluid, etc. is not natural. It can be somewhat sickening. And with your crush, I hope everything turns out all right... nobody should be pressured into that. Not your crush, not mine, not anybody.
Lastly, but definitely not least, @Lily Gray, that was pretty kind and I hope it helps more people in the LGBT+ community to speak up about their problems!
Also, @Adrian Birch, you’ll find that we’re very welcoming here of course and there are many of us who like both genders. I’m sure you’ll feel at home.

Well, I wish you luck with your mom! I know it can be a tough situation, but you said that she loves you, so I believe she will come around at some point. If not, well, I'm guessing your a teen since you're on this site, so you'll be out of the house in a few years or so.
@Lily Gray
Same though! My mom said, and I quote, "No your not. I know you, and your straight."
