Though she had an idea it was a possibility the young golden haired girl scowled she knew it would get hard to breathe the longer she was under the icy cold lake she rather be on the surface not dealing with these horrid Grindylows.
Helena glanced down at the creature that had grabbed her thinking of what to do if she acted rashly it would not be the best outcome. The only thing Helena could hope for her friends to hopefully come to her rescue, but at the same time she did not wish for them to be in the same situation.
Helena thought carefully she wanted to be smart with her actions, struggling would not be the best decision but there was the outcome of drowning which the young girl did not wish to do last resort, but hopefully maybe before that happens she would be saved by someone.
The lakes frigid waters burned Helena’s eyes as she glared daggers at the creature thinking carefully the young girl began to kick the Grindylow as hard as she could. Though she knew the creature was much stronger than her. Helena just hoped that maybe her heels would do enough to loosen the Grindylows grip. After all the only thing to do was to try and get free right?

Dialogue: #03733b @Landon Matthews@Madison Bennett@Alyssea Brown@Helena RoseFriday, October the 6th, 2023
Even after casting the metaphorical unforgivable on the creature, it seemed that it only gripped me harder. It was a bloody battle, at least on my side, with me now being in more pain than I had ever been in before. Add to that, I had enough of a buildup of carbon dioxide in my lungs, that it felt like there was no oxygen left. I had tried my best up until this point, but I had only gotten myself into deeper trouble. I thought about all of my friends, of which I now realized I didn’t have many of. I thought of my family back at home, and how devastated they would be to find out I died. Oh why did I not bring my wand? Perhaps I would’ve survived had I brought it here.
As I was dragged lower and lower into the water, I felt my blood escaping my body. My life began flashing before my very eyes. The good things, and the bad. And then, I imagined future me, along with my wife and kids. We seemed so happy. Of course we were, considering I was imagining it. But I was never going to experience that.
Or, maybe, just maybe, I was. I had heard about different Gods when growing up, and if they actually existed, then they were my last hope of survival. ‘Please help me.’ I thought. ‘I don’t care which God you are, but if you exist, please help me.’ I might as well have been wasting my time, but I was desperate, so I was willing to do things I would never do in a normal circumstance. But before any God could help me, I lost consciousness.

Bailey smiled at hana as they walked hand in hand towards the lake. A wind blew, making her shiver just slightly, and wish that she had brought a jacket to keep warm with.
As they drew closer to the lake bailey began to get the sense that something was not quite right. There was a brilliant ball of light, the product of a spell obviously, hung in the sky cast by the lovely @Raizel Voltrouz. In the lake bailey spotted several figures, one in a red dress @Eun-ji Lee Huntseemingly rescuing another girl @Marietta Griffis, and two others besides the girl being rescued, that seemed to be breathing under the water. @Pericles Dralt @Piérre Marchonné and @Marietta Griffis
There seemed to be other rescues happening as well, and bailey quickened her pace slightly, eager to find out what was going on and to help. She felt slight resistance, and realized Hana was pulling slightly back. He seemed to sense that their was chaos as well, and unlike Bailey had no interest in investigating. “Oh well, look's like Hogwarts curse of being unable to host balls without anyone dying is among us. I think we should go back to the banquet and let the idiots do something about it before the professors come. There's plenty, I'm sure” Hana said, and Bailey turned, surprised. She had never seen Hana this opposed to chaos, and Bailey replied with a slightly confused “but what about the people who are in the lake? Don’t you think we should help?” Bailey’s slight heroic streak shows here, the need and want to go help showing in her eyes.
She tugged slightly on Hana’s hand, trying to get him to move closer to the lake.
“Come on, Hana!!! What if there’s someone that you like in the lake? Surely you have at least one friend besides me, what if they’re in the lake?”
Bailey meant ‘like’ in a platonic way, but that may not be the way that Hana interpreted it.
Biting the inside of her cheek Bailey waited for Hana to make a decision- either to pull her towards the banquet again, or to let Bailey drag him (however unceremoniously) towards the lake to help.
action: entering the lantern area with Hanainto the other adventure!! or rather - ball adventure phase II XD
Permission to godmode Hana doing those things was given.

Axyen was grinning while waving, and then stopped and waited for Daphne. Axyen didn't fail to notice that she was approaching, which caught Axyen off guard as Daphne went ahead to hug him. Axyen smiled and hugged her back before pulling away after a few seconds. Axyen looked at her dress and thought it looked really cool. "Wow, that's an awesome dress! I think that looks super cool." Axyen said cheerfully, Arnold looked at the cat in front of him, the cat meowed at Arnold who responded by squeaking a few times. Axyen was glad to see that Arnold's mischievous side was gone, which was the same for any super important days for Axyen. Axyen still wanted to keep an eye on Arnold, just in case he decides to change his mind and cause chaos anyways. Arnold has been thankfully acting better as of recently, Axyen decided to feed Arnold snacks for good behavior as encouragement.
Axyen looked down a little when Daphne complimented his suit, Axyen still didn't know how to respond, because the words 'thank you' felt a little too repetitive now. "Thanks, I appreciate it a lot!" Axyen said, hopefully that sounded a lot better. Wait a minute, did she just call me 'Axyie'? Axyen thought to himself, blushing only a tiny bit, he didn't know what to think about the new nickname. He looked at Arnold to make sure he wasn't on his way to do anything crazy, but Arnold was more focused on the cat in front of him. Daphne began to explain why she was late, which was because Alduin, the cat, refused to stay still. Axyen could easily imagine Arnold doing the same thing, but thankfully Arnold was completely cooperative. "Oh, it's fine!" Axyen said happily. "I am sure he or she will get along just fine with Arnold." Axyen said. How can people even tell the gender of a cat? Axyen wondered to himself.
Axyen was happy that Daphne found Arnold cute, but blushed a tiny bit when Daphne said that she wasn't trying to call Axyen cute, but that he was cute. Axyen understood what she meant, everyone can stumble over their words from time to time. "Don't worry, I get what you mean." Axyen said happily. Axyen looked over to the table with all sorts of lantern-making supplies, there were so many options. Axyen was observing the tables and its supplies because Daphne offered Axyen to make a lantern with her. "Sure thing! That'd be awesome!" Axyen said, thinking about what kind of lantern he wanted to make, hopefully whatever Axyen did, the lantern would turn out looking good.Mentioning...@Daphne Sapphirus

Grabbing onto the young girl that had been dunked into the brine with him, Piérre held on for dear life. He wanted to eventually force her upwards, to push her towards the surface if he could; it would push him down, yes, but it would get her closer to the surface. It would make it so that she would have to fight the water pulling her down less, allow her to see the light above so much easier and ignite in her the instinct to swim (or at least flail) upwards and into an oxygenated environment as opposed to this one that lacked any whatsoever. At least one of them would make it out of here, right Peri?
Green eyes continued to blink a bit, the phantasm in his mind's eye somehow now more corporeal than it ever had been before. Ah yes, there were the strange darker markings upon the bands wrapped about its head, the pattern of shadow that was not shadow that stained the pure white. 'Come? How?' He queried wordlessly, as he grasped the girl with the last remaining strength in his body. 'Non avrebbe senso. Non qui. It would not make sense. Not here.'
Eyes slipping closed, Piérre unconsciously inhaled for what would have probably the last time and then proceeded to choke on it as air suddenly rushed into his lungs. Eyes wide open as oxygen suddenly flooded through his system accompanied by cortisol, the Britalian wildly looked this way and that as he coughed and tried to figure out a rational reason for why he was now suddenly able to breathe despite being surrounded by water. "AAAAAAAA--" A hacking cough interrupted his confused shouting before he resumed. "AAAHAHAHA....!" The cries petered off into unintelligible sobbing as he breathed in lungful after lungful of air with gusto and gratefulness that rivaled the thankfulness for his own life.
Pericles! "PERI, I-" He hiccupped once, still trying to get his bearings, looking for the phantasm that had now seemingly totally vanished into the nothingness that it had originally appeared from. The adrenaline was hitting him like a train now, though it would appear that his brain and language centers were not quite working together in tandem and doing the job of filtering any inane nonsense that was running through his mind. "I could kiss you right now, you... you...!" Where was this sentence going again? "Bird!" Another Ravenclaw duelist with him too, though. "Two birds! Two kisses!"
Something scraped his leg, trying to wrap about it again, but this time Piérre was ready for it--sort of. "AIIEE, GEDDOFF!" Another harsh kick and now he was able to get a good look at the thing that had been trying to drag him down. An ugly looking sea monster thing. He had learned about this thing before in his Care of Magical Creatures class, actually. "GRINDYLOW!"
His still slightly paralyzed left hand was immediately floundering for his wand (thankfully still safely hooked into the holster on his chest), trying to fumble and take it into his dominant hand to prepare a spell for defense. He was a duelist after all... sort of... and somehow a co-captain... Surely he had to at least try to do something. At least he could breathe, could cast spells... "Get her to the surface, please!" He begged towards Pericles in particular. He wasn't going to outright confess that he was incapable of swimming, though perhaps based on his current showing of practical skill in the water that much was quickly becoming apparent. "I drug her into this, it's all my fault, I'm such an idiot! Oh mio Dio, Oh my God, I'm such an idiot!"
Mind spinning, Piérre wasn't really the best at collecting his thoughts, especially not in a situation like this. "If you think of something clever, I can buy time! You can think of something clever, right? You're the most clever person I know! Smarter than me, for sure!"
He was aware of the critters swimming about; he was almost certain that at least one of them would make an attempt on their little party. Yew wand swishing through the water despite the awkwardness of it, Piérre was still ready to do a little damaging if he had to. It wasn't really a crime to perform self-defense, surely? If they wanted a bite, they had to be prepared for a biting back.
Such was the way of the relationship between predator and prey, especially when the lines between them were blurred as in a case similar to this very one.

| Lichtenberg Figure on Right Arm and Down Back |@Alyssea Brown & "Toxic Ex" Grindylow JoshWith a wrench, I spun away with the Grindylow in arms as the girl was finally able to free herself. "GET OUT OF HERE! GO!" I shouted one more time, now focusing entirely on the creature that I had at my total mercy. The weedy thing I did believe really did not stand a chance against my superior strength, did not have a prayer when concerning whether or not it would be able to escape from the throes of my wrath untouched. Its only advantage was that I was not entirely at home in this aquatic environment, but even then I was in possession of means to turn the tides in my favor whether through magic or a slight alteration of my tactics.
I rounded on the creature, eyes flaring as I bared my teeth at it. "You f*cked with me on the wrong night, buddy." I growled, removing my wand from my teeth and repositioning it a closed fist. I would need my hands, but it wouldn't hurt to have access to my magic if I needed it. The water was freezing cold against my skin, but I could not feel it when it was compared to the fire that was racing right beneath the flesh. Pent up feelings, pent up expressions, memories that burned and dreams that seeped through ashen veins and charring bones... All of these that threatened to sear through mortal coil as if to attempt to boil the water around me with the force of my rage. "You crossed paths with the wrong person."
The blood pounded in my ears, the sound of iron clashing and disordered shouting rising like a roar in my mind. The sound of a bat striking a cast iron bludger, sending it hurtling across the pitch to snap the shaft of a broom being ridden by an unsuspecting passenger; they would fall, just as I was more than capable of falling, breaking body on the earth and snapping bone like a chicken's wing.
I wanted to break something. That knife now lost to the Forbidden Forest had done nothing to slake my need to destroy something with my hands, to tear something apart into an indescribable mess unable to be pieced back together. I had shredded so many such things in my own life, so many of the things I held near and dear to myself had already been destroyed in such a way; so long I had tried to heal and mend after breaking, so many times had I stayed as impartial as I could to my own difficulties for the sake of never harming the ones that needed stability most. I had so few difficulties when compared to others, surely. Surely that was the case. My feelings were subservient to the needs of others, second to the things that I had to do to make sure that I didn't break and maim. To avoid breaking and maiming, I maimed myself.
It made so much more sense when seen through that lens, didn't it? When I was capable of being destructive, when I knew full well my strength was capable of killing, capable of irreversibly harming someone beyond even magical repair... of course I had to kill the thing that was capable of killing. I had it under control.
I had it all under control.
I'm under control.
I'm controlling.
I'm the one controlling myself, as I snatched for the Grindylow that had snatched the girl. Let's see how it liked a taste of its own medicine, shall we? When I was sure that I could get it into range (or get myself into range), I held it by the 'shoulder' with one hand and by the lower half with the other and then reared my foot back in order to pummel my heel directly into its 'stomach'. I was going to inflict as much damage on this creature as humanly possible, this thing that believed itself so capable of harming others perhaps now for the first time would realize what predator was greater than itself in this lake.
It would realize that I was not trapped down here with it and its friends.
They were all trapped down here in their aqueous environment with nowhere to run with me.Romeo Beats the Sh!t outta Josh Kicks Josh/Alyssa's Grindylow (Martial Artist)ReducioStats:

Daphne graciously accepted the compliment, her fingers gently trailing over the details of the dress her mother had crafted for her. The vibrant flowers, seemingly plucked from a garden, adorned the gown, and Daphne couldn't help but feel proud. "My mother has a knack for fashion-she made it for me," she began, a delicate smile playing on her lips. "These flowers are real, but you won't find them wilting anytime soon. It's some cool spell she knows." Daphne's explanation held a touch of mystery, as she chose not to delve into the specifics of her mother's Veela magic. After all, Daphne's heritage was a blend of human and Veela, a detail she preferred to keep a secret from everyone, especially in a setting as formal as the ball.
With a brief glance downward, Daphne hesitated for a moment. The allure of Veelas and part-Veelas was known in the wizarding world, and Daphne harbored a hint of guilt about the natural alluring effect she had that she might unwittingly cast upon those around her. Of course, she was sure that Axyen had agreed to go to the ball with her because they were friends...still, she was scared of the possible effect she could have on others...have on him. It wasn't fair in her eyes since she couldn't control it. Alduin's tail would flick back and forth happily-which was rare-Arnold's squeaks had seemed to delight him.
"Oh, Alduin here is a guy; I know it's hard to tell. His breed is Silver Siberian, and they are all very pretty," she explained. As she and Axyen approached the tables, Daphne's excitement continued to bubble over. "Let's see," she began, her voice filled with lots of energy. "These lanterns remind me of one of my favorite Disney movies, you know? Rapunzel! There's a whole array of lanterns we can make—like those sky lanterns that float into the sky or the floating lanterns that drift onto the water...."
Her eyes lit up with creative possibilities, and she continued, "And then there are these candle bag lanterns, which seem like the easiest to craft." She giggled. "Do you wanna make one together or should we just have separate ones? Oh, or we could do two of our own designs and then make one together? I don't mind either way."

Axyen was very interested as Daphne explained that her mother had great fashion sense, which Axyen could see for himself. The flowers looked incredible, Daphne said that they were real, and Axyen could easily imagine them coming from a garden of some kind, maybe her mother grew them herself to help make Daphne's outfit. Axyen was surprised to hear that the flowers wouldn't wilt for a long time, Daphne explained that it was some cool spell, maybe it was a spell Axyen would learn in the future, that'd be a cool spell to know, it would be perfect for making and sending off gifts. "Oh wow, that's super cool!" Axyen said, it'd be awesome to know that there is a way to preserve flowers in potentially any type of environment and condition. Axyen wanted to ask more about the spell. No Axyen, you'll learn more about it later. We're here to do fun stuff, not spell trivia. Axyen told himself, perhaps that's what he told himself and in reality he was still nervous, it never felt clear which of the two was the culprit to hiding his curiosity.
Axyen had imagined that Arnold and Alduin would get along fine, it seemed Arnold was completely curious and confused seeing Alduin, as Arnold never interacted with other pets, especially since Muggles would probably be scared or just really confused, even if Arnold was cute, playful, and fluffy. Axyen looked at Daphne, who was looking down briefly, but Axyen missed it because he was checking up on Arnold to make sure he wasn't destroying anything. Daphne also confirmed the gender Alduin, which was a male. Daphne said that it was hard to tell the gender of a cat, which gave Axyen some reassurance, perhaps he was worried that it was common sense and not knowing made him a little dumb. Axyen also got to learn the breed of the cat, the cat was a Silver Siberian, which was interesting to know. Maybe learning about cats could be a something to do later? Maybe. Arnold continued to squeak perhaps he was trying to communicate with the cat, or just simply love the attention he got from Alduin, Axyen often couldn't tell.
Daphne seemed to have possibly an endless amount of energy and enthusiasm for making a lantern as the two walked towards the tables where they would make and decorate a lantern. It'd be a lie if Axyen said he was not excited to make a lantern either, it'd be a new and fun experience. Daphne mentioned something called Disney, and something or someone named Rapunzel. Either way, the floating lanterns reminded Daphne of those things. "D-Disss" Axyen began, trying to replicate what Daphne just said. "Knee?" Axyen asked. He would have to ask about the unknown 'Ruh-pun-zo-o' later, but for now one thing at a time. Axyen was a tiny bit embarrassed not knowing about these types of things, he wanted to know more about the Muggle World, but it often felt like they had an overwhelming amount of things to learn about. At this rate, how will I learn about everything Muggles have to offer? Axyen asked himself, he tried to not feel dumb, but he still did. Maybe this was something obvious and he did a terrible job at keeping up with the other students. Maybe this was just another one of those times Axyen was overthinking it; Axyen sometimes wondered what his life would be like if he was Muggleborn, or half-blood, Axyen took pride in being a Pureblood, and not because he thought they were superior but because all types of information was new and interesting information to Axyen. Sometimes, he wish he was one or the other for all sorts of reasons, but he would never dare mention that out loud. It was his lack of knowledge about nearly everything that related to Muggles that marked him as either a half-blood or Pureblood.
Axyen looked at all of the types of lanterns the two could make, the sky lanterns, the lanterns that could go on the water, and then the candy bag lanterns. "Hmmmm..." Axyen said, thinking. Why do these choices have to be so hard? Axyen struggled making a decision, it felt like he often struggled to make a decision. "M-maybe the...." Axyen stammered, having no idea what he was about to say. "The..the... sk-sky lanterns?" Axyen said, stammering over his words. He hoped he made the right decision, if there even was a 'right' decision. Thankfully the next set of options were easy for Axyen, why pick between two ways... when your third option is to do both ways? "I think we should make our own designs and then make a lantern together." Axyen said, clearly exciting and smiling, the next decision to make was probably the hardest one yet, what would he decorate his lantern as? Axyen decided that while creating his lantern, he should think about it, that was the only way he could have enough time to think about something.Mentioning...@Daphne Sapphirus

Zach nodded. While rowing the boat, he answered, "Uhuh... Maybe I can look for some books to learn it again. I failed to understand the last book I read."
With the help of Raizel's light, he rowed the boat in the direction of the splash sound. "I think so. I hear splashes. Someone might be trying to get out from the water or..." Zach shook his head. He didn't want to say it as it might jinx them. He kept rowing and rowing until the sound of it became louder to his ears.
And there they were, on a spot that sounded the loudest splash to Zach. He saw a weird movement in the water. "Something weird down there," He said to Raizel. The boy squinted his eyes, trying to get a clear visual of what happened. Did it help? No. He tried another method by making a small loophole with his hand. His sight became limited but he eventually could see clearly. Like a potioneer scrutinizing an ingredient under a magnifying glass, he looked for the strange thing that happened there. Two creatures were fighting each other. One with a longer hair and the other with a short one."Oh well... I think we have to do something."
He pulled his wand and pointed it at the water. He made sure again by making a small loophole with his left hand. The longer hair must be a student. And that short hair doesn't seem like human hair after all. He decided to target the short-haired one. If his judgement was wrong, well... I'm sorry. Then he took a deep breath and cast, "Immobulus!"

Blue in English, Red in KoreanEun-ji couldn’t have been more grateful to have Peri by her side right now. Not only because she wouldn’t have been able to get the situation under control on her own but also because he knew the panicked flailing boy and served as a perfect distraction. It was really quite obvious now that Piérre couldn’t swim but instead of letting them help, he seemed insistent on making things more difficult for the Ravenclaw duo. Why would he try to grab onto Marietta when he saw, Eun-ji was already there to help? “Idiot, you are only going to drag her down.” The witch said, sounding somewhat frustrated. Thank God Peri achieved to cast the bubble charm once again, giving the two drowning people some air.
Luckily, by some unimaginable miracle, Pi managed to at least get off his Grindylow and Eun-ji swiftly helped the younger girl to get rid of hers. “How about no kisses and more thinking?” The Ravenclaw said offhandedly though for most part, she let Peri deal with the boy. She had to think about how to get them out of the water safely. Sure, they could just grab them and swim towards the surface but saving drowning people that way wasn’t recommended and it would also take some time. “You are both going to the surface, one way or another.” She said eventually. Why he would Piérre think they would only take care of one of them was beyond her. Besides, even if he felt bad it was him, who needed more help right now. If they let him here, he would definitely sink all the way down.
Eun-ji looked to Peri, fully aware that communication was necessary during these situations. “I’m going to cast ascension spell on them, okay?” She explained her intention to her fellow duellist. It seemed like the fastest way to get both of them to the surface. Pointing her wand onto her target, Eun-ji did her best to concentrate. “Alarte Ascendare!” She still had enough strength to swim to the surface on her own so she wasn’t too worried. Of course, if she got grabbed by a Grindylow, she’d be in a bit of a trouble but those concerns were for later.
